Genuinely critical as some parts of every video could be, he also frequently exaggerates on what can amount to nitpicks for the sake of comedy. That's what makes the Angry Video Game Nerd's humor. I mean, this is the same show that connected Mario 3 to the depths of Hell.

But I point out the Earthbound episode in particular because of how he embraces the more impactful elements of the game; not to mention the sheer dedication to his craft in a beyond-full-length episode to boot.

Can't wait to check em out in 2022!

@Morpheel I just never really saw this genre to be popular among consumers, let alone how different each game may be from each other to justify their existences.

Not gonna lie...Duke Nukem has my attention.

I'm interested in seeing what else they have for Switch.

They may be rather crappy towards Xbone and PS4, but for Switch they've gotten a good amount of my money and I have no regrets. I might even pick uo Trials Rising someday.

@Dpullam That is definitely something you can do - Undertale is a great game!

@dkxcalibur @Dpullam As someone that's played through both, I can tell you right now the only real benefit you get from playing Undertale first is getting to acknowledge any little details that may have first appeared in it.

Deltarune is otherwise its own story, with no real connection to Undertale. In fact, it's easier to play through than UT (though it could be because it's merely Chapter 1 of what is meant to be an elongated package)

Not really sure why Toby Fox implemented that prompt in hindsight, but there you go.

@Dpullam You can find the premiere (double-length) episode on Disney's YouTube if you want to get into it. I highly recommend it!

Watch the reboot if you haven't yet. It is a superb reimagining of Scrooge and co. and it expands on the characters rather than detracts.

This scene goes to show how much attention to detail there is.

@Dpullam I beat this game in 29 minutes, so I guess you could say the whole thing's a pea-sized bite.

@hadrian I don't have much an issue with games that have the filter per se, but some games just feel like they're being retro for the sake of being retro without really being 100% faithful to that style they're going for. This game is one of those.

To this day, I don't know why there is a CRT filter for a game aping the Game Boy look.

Reminds me a lot of the 3D-rendered art on older Pokemon cards. That's pretty neat

And by basing it off of a quantity of releases in this particular period of a few months, which has actually seen third-party Switch releases too? Give me a break.

The indies are here to stay. There are great experiences that come from them. There's some third party AAA stuff for you to stick into a pipe and smoke as well. Leave it at that.

@Mgene15 You....do know there have been games released last year, too, right? And the year before that? Who gives a crap about the relative quantity of games releasing on other platforms?

I care about what I would like to play out of the ones that are releasing, and they sure as heck aren't any of the titles you mentioned. I still haven't even picked up Arms, Donkey Kong, Captain Toad, Octopath, Mega Man X Legacy Collections, Fe, Mario Tennis, or Mario Party. And I still need to get Bayonetta 1 & 2, Splatoon 2, and Pokemon back out from my backlog.

And I'm PRETTY SURE there are people as occupied as I am. That's without even covering all the indies to catch up on.

Nintendo has video games. As opposed to glorified $60 shells of games that depend on manipulative practices to get people to spend hundreds more on the same underwhelming product before another one comes a year later to make it obsolete.

They may as well not even have a console to sell at this point
