At the start of this month, Nintendo announced it was buying the Canadian developer Next Level Games.
Now that the studio is becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nintendo, it appears to be on somewhat of a hiring spree - as over the past week it's apparently relisted multiple jobs, originally posted last December.
It's looking for talent to fill the role of a producer, art production manager, UI artist, lead test engineer and more. Here's the original Twitter post from late last year:
"Next Level Games is looking for talented, driven team players. If you have a passion for video games and love bringing stories to digital life, please connect with us at nextlevelgames.com."
In recent times, Next Level Games is best known for Luigi's Mansion 3. It's also previously worked on titles like Punch-Out!!, Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Super Mario Strikers - which is now 15 years old.
Nintendo has previously stated how the acquisition means it will be able to "secure the availability of Next Level Games development resources, including development expertise” and "facilitate an anticipated improvement in development speed and quality by enabling closer communication and exchange of staff with the Nintendo development team."
What future Nintendo projects would you like to see from Next Level Games? Tell us down below.

Maybe metroid prime federation force is one they should leave off of their resume
A new Mario Strikers with online and a proper career mode would be superb.
@Gamerdudesteel Eh, it wasn’t a bad game. Federation Force got announced released at the worst possible time, but that isn’t NLG’s fault.
‘Please connect with us’ sounds almost pleading. Do they need a fresh intake of sacrificial meat?
@OorWullie yes, please. Both Strikers games were extremely fun.
Looks like Next Level's going to the...next level...😎
I mean... if I knew anything about actually making video games, I’d consider applying...
@Alpha008 Honestly the only job in there that requires coding experience is lead test engineer. Plenty people could probably work in the logistics or production side of things with the experience they have, it’s just a daunting industry from the outside.
Hopefully this leads to more games since Nintendo themselves have been slacking off recently.
More output other than Mario would be nice.
A new IP would be awesome.
I hope we get Federation Force Deluxe on Switch.
Can't wait to see more form them.
@nessisonett Developing games is much more than "coding". While the UI person might be able to get away with not having experience in the game industry, the Artist and Producer roles would need experience "making games".
With the quality they deliver they can make anything. Luigis mansion was seriously the most beautiful game on the switch. Like watching an animated movie. So yeah welldone.
Absolutely amazing animations they made for LM3.
Honestly, I wish it was a new IP!
....soooo Punch Out x Teleroboxer [x ARMs]?
Much like with Monolith Soft, I expect Next Level Games to double or triple their staff count within the next 4-5 years.
@Okapi GFF would have worked better as a FPS on a console with a proper campaign and art direction.
Mike Tyson's Punchout!!: Round 2 New fighters, some guys from Super, and (of course) Tyson gets his rematch with Little Mac. DO IT, NEXT LEVEL!
Probably wishful thinking but I'm hoping this studio's next game is another Punch-Out!! The one for the Wii was awesome.
Gotta play Luigi mansion 2 again soon xxx
I'm currently playing Luigi's Mansion 3 and is a jewel.
I was hoping for a new Mario Strikers game for the Nintendo Switch with online capabilities. Of course, I would like to work for Next Level Games.
