There's only one month to go until the Tokyo Game Show, which starts on September 15th, and Capcom has today started to reveal what we can expect them to show off this year. For Nintendo fans, the answer is not much, but there are a few things to be excited about.
Four games will be available in playable demos at the Capcom show booth on both September 17th and 18th, with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection topping the ranking for Switch-bound titles. The company has also announced that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be at its booth as well.
The Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection was first announced just two months ago, and is due out sometime next year, so its appearance at TGS is most welcome. The game will collect all ten titles from the original GBA franchise, adding a gallery and music mode, which promises to collect over 150 songs from across the series.

In terms of live events, Capcom will be running two livestreams during TGS: the Capcom Online Programme and the Street Fighter 6 Special Programme. Although neither of these will be taking place in person, it is the former that we want to emphasise to Nintendo fans.
The Online Programme, which will be airing at 3pm BST on September 15th, promises the chance to hear about a variety of upcoming projects from the company in the form of a pre-recorded stream. There has been no official announcement about what we are likely to see in this stream yet — though it stands a higher chance of appealing to our Nintendo passions.
Given that some of the company's upcoming titles are games such as Exoprimal and Resident Evil 4 Remake (alongside Street Fighter 6), we wouldn't get our hopes up too high for any major Nintendo announcements, but hey, we can dream. In the absence of E3 or a major Nintendo Direct, who knows? Maybe we'll hear about that Ace Attorney reboot that we have long dreamed of (we doubt it).
You can check out all of the details for Capcom's TGS schedule so far over on its official website.
The Tokyo Game Show will run from September 15th to 18th, so we expect more companies will start to reveal their programmes in the next few weeks.
What are you hoping to see Capcom discuss during their broadcast? Let us know in the comments below!

New ace attorney at last?
I just wish it included the GameCube one called Network transmission. Talk about an underrated gem! It's just as good if not better than the main ones.
@Truegamer79
I love Network Transmission, but it's a tricky game with some weird balancing issues stemming from how it bases all of its values on the original Mega Man Battle Network / 2.
The RPG elements weren't properly balanced, which lead to things like having a mega buster that starts out literally useless, but by the end of the game becomes nearly the only thing you need.
@Truegamer79 I can't remember if there were any unique DS games in the franchise too.
They're also leaving out a WonderSwan Color platformer as well.
@KingMike
The WonderSwan Color platformer was weird, I tried it and it didn't really play very well, pretty clunky.
It was never officially localised, along with the mobile games.
On the subject of localisation, I wonder if they'll go through and fix the notorious grammatical and spelling errors that plagued Battle Network 4?
The EU version of BN4 (but not US) had a typo right on the save screen! "Do you want to saver you data?".
SF6 news so soon after EVO? I'll bloody take it! Battle Network getting a spotlight is also pretty hype as well, I'm definitely interested in the series.
@ArmenianJedi13 I don't want to get my hopes up (because man have I been burned in the past) but considering how the Ace Attorney Trilogy was announced at TGS way back when.....you never know.
@KingMike
I never owned any of the DS versions so I'm not sure about that. I figured they probably weren't all that different. When they started having multiple versions of the same game i would just pick one or the other. I actually never played any of the ones after the 3rd so I'm really looking forward to finally trying them all.
Hmm 🤔. For the people that don’t know. The other Megaman battle network games not in the collection is the DS one of part 5 which combines both versions and adds some stuff to it as well. It’s a good game in my opinion but I can see why it would be very hard to add to the collection. There is also the crossover of Megaman battle network 1 and Megaman starforce but I think that was only released in Japan. There is also Megaman battle network chip challenge which has completely different gameplay and takes place after 3 but before 4 I think 🤔 but I didn’t care much for that game but it was a gba game. And finally there is Megaman battle network 4.5 for gba which of course was never released outside Japan. There is a fan translation of it that was completed not too long ago. I liked that game. It had potential. Played a little differently but I liked it. I guess a Star force collection and Megaman legends collection are the last 2 we need. Oh and Megaman zx which only has 2 games.
I think it's funny that I started selling my complete in box battle network games and this is coming out hahaha.
Though I can't go wrong I made like $700 off of 4 games.
@NeonPizza I think Mega Man & Bass could be on that Gameboy collection as a bonus.
@ArmenianJedi13 Honestly, that franchise should remain dead. I'd rather have another project made by the creator of the original trilogy.
I'm definitely looking forward to this collection, though it'll be weird to have both versions in one place from 3+. I just wish it included some of the spinoffs (weird as they were), like Network Transmission and Battle Chip Challenge.
Also looking forward to Battle Network, because I did not play any game of the series. And so many games should keep me entertained for a long time.
Looking forward to this. One thing I’d like to see is to be able to link up and trade with other items users online.
@RupeeClock Best to play the Battle Network games slowly, so yo can most savor the data.
@KingMike DS did have the best version of Battle Network 5 where you could mix and match characters from the other two versions. I’m a little sad we’re not getting that one.
Alongside new fighter reveal for SF6 and more news on MMBN Collection, I'm more curious on any possible official Ace Attorney 7 news then anything else right now.
Extra features are always appreciated, but this is an instant-buy regardless. Battle Network holds a very special place in my childhood!
Biggest thing that they would never do anyway for me would be online servers for those lobby hubs in the Net, with online trading/battling.
❗️A physical💾 version is a day one buy...
SF6 is gonna milk us for every penny for micro transactions. I think they should just ban micro transactions period. The developers get too greedy with the money they already make.
