Re: Nintendo Confirms That There Are Now More Than 1,300 Games Available On Switch

Nintendo is relying on their army of indie publishers to create a false impression that they have lots of playable games. It's not like the old days anymore: the games on Switch are mostly ports, there are lots of mobile games and old retro games released for the hundredth time.

I am one of the few who can criticise Switch's for it's shovelware because I have played almost all the games. Yes you hear that right, I downloaded all the roms, going through them everyday for the last 4 months. I think I played more Switch games than any of the reviewers here at NL.

D3 should be named 'Dungeon Rampage', because that's what it is. Victor Vran played more like D2, the pacing is slower and there's an actual risk of dying. D3 is a constant massacre, made worse when playing with other people.

The review didn't mentioned that the game is running at a smooth 60 fps (unlike Victor Vran's 30 fps). It is absolutely choked with content, it's the most complete D3.

While repetitive, it's also addictive. The point of the game is looting, the fighting is just obstacle to overcome. The better loot makes you more powerful and therefore fighting becomes unnecessary: you exterminate everyone on sight.

It's not a game for everyone, even though it's got these devil and satanic theme, the game is very relaxing and comforting. Unlike JRPG with the artificial turn based grinding, fighting with numbers... here at least the mindless fights are gratifying to watch on screen.

@GamerDad66 Nope. Audio is fine. Game run in 60 FPS.

@whanvee D2 is a challenging game. D3 is a lot easier, you need to crank up the difficulty. I never once use health potion, my magic attributes restored my health every time I killed a monster. I remember in D2 health potions are actually needed and dodging attack is a necessity... in D3 I massacred everyone when I arrived.

Still fun though, it's a comforting game.

Gamestop is working with Nintendo to quarantine the old Switch with Bootrom bug. Piracy is bad for them too.

Did you guys know that a hacked Switch can play games from an external hard drive connected to the Switch Dock's USB? It's just like PS4 external HDD support, just too bad that you need to hack the Switch to have this function.

You can tell this is a lousy Switch port:

The B button is the default select button, it's directly converted from Playstation (X button) without consideration for Switch users. When Switch system is on-screen (typing name) the A button became the default select button. This shows the dev does'nt care about the usability of the game for Switch players.

Remember when you played NES games on TV, the digital image looks so solid on the screen? It's real 60 fps Vsync to the TV refresh rates. Back then all the games had to be 60 fps (or 50fps for PAL) with no pacing issues, it's electronically fixed.

Nintendo kept this 60fps standard for their first party games until recently with Zelda BotW being <=30fps. There's a lot of games that claimed 60fps but they lied, true 60fps is locked to the screen refresh rate and cannot dipped. On Switch: Fast RMX, RIVE and Adventure Pals are some of the only ones that runs in true 60 fps. Buttery smooth like NES games.
