I have the orignal and it's plugged into the output of an HDMI switch that I have a GameCube and an N64 hooked up to via HDMI. I actually see a difference and think it's much better. I have just never felt the need to clean up the visuals of my Switch and I can understand how people would be disappointed by it's performance there.

I'm excited for Switch 2, but I'm starting to think that this might be the first console launch from Nintendo where I wait for a mid-gen refresh especially if it doesn't launch with an OLED display. I have plenty of games on the back log to hold me over.

They should let paid Nintendo Online members have first crack at online pre-orders.

OMG the Wii system music with all of the music from each channel is incredible.

As a minimalist charging grip, I like it. As a charging stand the wire coming out of the top is horrible. also, I’m sure the base doesn’t weigh enough to keep it in place. Fail.

He definitely tried to stay long enough to make it look like it was fully his choice.

Just finished Watchdogs and now I’m resuming AC3 which I booted up to find I last played it in 2013.

This made me reflect on how long I’ve been a consumer of NintendoLife content. Back when the Wii launched I had the Virtual Console category book marked and would check it out to see which releases were worth picking up. Somewhere along the way I setup an account and started commenting. It’s getting close to two decades and NL just keeps getting better and better each year. Keep up the great work.

PS maybe it was VC-Reviews.com I was reading which got acquired by NL either way. Love it here.

I’m very confused about why everyone keeps saying the Xbox has native widescreen while the NSO version does not. In the original Nintendo 64 version you could turn on wide screen support under options which can also be done in the NSO version.

My Nintendo 3DS XL - Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask Special Edition is much too... special... to take out of the house.

Wii Sports Club Golf is the definitive way to golf on a Nintendo console. Everything else will just not have that save immersive feel of swinging a motion control why looking down at the game pad (not including VR). Truly awesome.

Unpopular opinion here: While annoying and sad that Nintendo isn't fixing it, it's not really that big of a deal since they are fixing them for free including free shipping both ways. I mean you get a new controller (probably refurbished actually), which presumably includes a healthier if not new battery. This is not a Red-ring-of-death scenario here.

My N64 NSO controllers are so "rare" I refuse to play this game and wear the thumb sticks down to piles of plastic dust.

I’ve been waiting for this to re-release since the Wii VC became a thing. I play the original cart from time to time with my kids who call it, “Parachute Game.”

Would love to see a new game in the series eventually. The 3DS game was “fine” but it did’t have the same appeal and charm as the SNES or N64 games.

@WhiteTrashGuy Would be nice to get the entire Rare Replay bundle on Switch 2/pro/Ultra/etc.

100% Pilotwings 64. This is the first rerelease since it came out 26 year ago. Having a better resolution and steady frame rate will be fantastic for this game. Needless to say I’ve been waiting for this one for awhile.

@DashKappei Honestly, I thought this was natively developed for Switch hence my snarky "tate" comment. I can see how it would be difficult (if not impossible) to add Tate mode to a game that didn't have it previously.

@SpringDivorce can you briefly explain why Super Rush was so bad? I’ve been considering it, but I periodically see comments like this and hold off.

Nintendo just doesn't get the internet. I know of no other brand that takes down their web properties for weeks at a time for "maintenance."

The idea of owning two of the same Classic consoles with different libraries is annoying. They all should be internet capable and have expandable libraries.

Anyone else feel like it was a miss opportunity when they didn't add additional amiibo locked Mii costumes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when they announced the new tracks?
