Despite it’s imperfections (NSO expansion pack, joy-con drift, etc.) It really is an amazing gaming device.

My Wii U still gets a ton of play and I’m still adding games to it and my Wii that I missed out on. I recently picked up Bwii2 (Battalion Wars 2) great game.

They're really trying to give us that retro feel by making the N64 controller impossible to find just like back in the day when it launched.

It does indeed look polished, might add to my wishlist to get it on sale.

@blackknight77 I always felt like camera management was part of the game play if not the hardest aspect of it.

Seems like a mixed bag. If could get my hands on an N64 controller I might have considered getting it on launch day.

Man, such nostalgia. GTA on PS2 is what got me to jump from Nintendo to Sony. Of course we all make mistakes and after three console generations I'm 100% back in camp Nintendo, but this will be a fun walk down memory lane.

Also, it would be a nice easter egg to include GTA 1 and 2 as unlockables.

I'm 100% certain that working at Nintendo in any capacity would shatter my love for the brand. The Glassdoor reviews are not positive.

Normally I just suck it up and pay the Nintendo premium for things like this because I’m an adult with a job and the amount of money isn’t huge, but this time it’s about the principal. Perhaps if they had been more aggressive with the release schedule for NES and SNES or maybe if it didn’t take 4 years to add bluetooth headset support I’d trust that this service would eventually be worth it. Nintendo just does not change their products and services enough within a reasonable time frame. Worst of all it lowers expectations post reveal. Meaning the first version of a product or service is extremely close to what the final product will be even after years of updates. Oh well.

Sure hope the terms include library access for as long as the service is live. It would be sad to randomly lose games in the coming years… Wow, the more I think about it the more I miss the virtual console.

Kind of wish the rumble pack was separate and could be “locked and loaded” for the full experience.

How does D2 feel playing on a controller?

Yes it’s expensive, but it will appreciate in value for people collecting it and keeping it un-opened.

It’s more fun to watch tear downs wear the person doing it has to figure it as they go.

It’s a fun accessory. It had me day dreaming of making a swivel mount for my 65” TV so I could use tate mode while docked.

But doth though rumble?

I think the perceived value of NSO would be higher if it were clear that it was going to exist well beyond the switch and into the future. I love the idea that I could have access to my saved games and these libraries for decades and access them on new consoles as they are released. Heck it’s not impossible to think that Nintendo may make NSO available on tablets and smart phones one day.

@Jmjfrank Agreed. It has always amazed me how Nintendo can not get Battle mode right in Mario Kart after the N64.

Absolute legend. Gazing at box art in the 90's was huge part of ones buying decision for new video games. I ended up with my fair share of stinkers that way.

NSO N64 controllers would be cool. I’d buy those for sure. Maybe even just for the parts so I could keep my actual N64 controllers functioning.

@Broosh Wow. You're 1000% right actually. Not that I was going to buy this, but if I had planned to that likely would have changed my mind.

At the time I'd say so. Though I'm actually quite partial to the Wii based on the simple design that is carried throughout all of the included accessories right down the corner cut off the power block.

I do appreciate the features they added, but boy oh boy is this such a Nintendo move. A full bump from 12 to 13.0 and the core feature is blue tooth audio support after 4 years on the market.

For “F” sake hire more engineers to finish up this product roadmap. It’s gonna be 2024 by the time we get Folder, themes, and and updated UI. I’m honestly not unhappy it’s just funny as hell at this point.

Wii just had the best music throughout so I have to give it my vote.

Tate mode or no buy.

Looks relaxing, wish it had co-op play of some kind.

The drip feed strategy for new releases on NSO is a problem, still looking forward to this however.

I play the crap out of Wii Sports Resort with my kids, they love skydiving. Would love to see an HD Port/compilation of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.

@aaronsullivan I'd be onboard for that, would probably buy the amiibo and the card in fact.

Bought an NFC Coin with this functionality from ebay. If I manage to get the actual amiibo I'll probably just keep it in the box at this point. Being a Nintendo fan can be really weird sometimes.

Nintendo always fixes mine for free so I don’t have a whole lot to complain about. I will say it is stupid to not fix the issue.

What would you all consider to be an obnoxious quantity of docks to own? 3? 4? 5?

Asking because I may be a dock hoarder.

Imagine it exclusively came with folders?

I would have jumped on something with new specs, but this isn't for me as I play docked mostly. With that said I don't really care, but I think many people who follow the industry are wondering how next generation games are going to still be portable to the same old Switch with how resource heavy games are getting because of the monstrous gap created with the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Pro coming next year no doubt... Ok I have doubt.
