No. He is wrong. As input methods evolve and become more complex they will require even more processing power and specialized hardware. Think beyond just graphics. Our living rooms are going to be home to some really impressive tech in the next 5 years.

All that being said... gamers will go where the games are so if they are on console that is where we will be.

I thought this remake was a huge missed opportunity for Nintendo. The game pad could have provided a fabulous Tingle Tuner experience instead we throw messages into the ocean.

Without a doubt the placement of the volume button on the Original 3DS XL was the worst. It was so annoying to randomly have the volume shoot all the way to maximum while playing game. Honestly I might be most excited about the New 3DS because of the new volume switch location. Do they do any user testing on these things?

This makes me want to disregard amiibos altogether. Let's just hope this is a brilliant yet cruel holiday marketing stunt.

@Swiket At first glance they look silly, but they are totally meant to make them more visible when playing in low light. I get that most gamers have them memorized, but sometimes when you crack open a new title it helps to see the buttons when that call to action is on screen. I would have preferred back lit buttons that could be turned off at will, would have been a nice touch.

At this point I'd do just about anything for even the most basic new feature.

I will buy this game JUST to support his model and hope that it becomes a standard!

While I don't have a gameboy micro and wish I did, I am the proud owner of a platinum gameboy player that attaches to my platinum gamecube. Man I love Nintendo.

This could have been an amazing two player Zelda experience had Nintendo decided to port/remake the tingle tuner experience to work on the gamepad. Instead we get some stupid message in a bottle thing... Oye, what a missed opportunity.

Another speed bump to the system menus would be appreciated. It feels almost as slow as the launch system software.

I will say that this game coming out means I'm not going to by the remake of DK Returns for the 3DS. Why own both when you can have the HD updated version that is not a remake? I think this was a bad move personally.

I'm not claiming to be a game developer nor am I claiming that I know how the process works… But from where I'm sitting I think we are seeing Nintendo suffering from a lack of resources to update their asset librabry to HD. In otherwords they have limited previous work to draw on to build these HD WiiU games. Alot of what they're doing has to be re-rendered or in many cases made from scratch.

Bluff. Their will be a price cut heading into the holiday season… That or they will release titles that were not announced at E3 which spark sales, but the latter is highly unlikely considering everything is being delayed.

It's nice to not be held over a barrell by a kickstarter campaign demanding top dollar for the Wii U version. I might actually buy this now!

People's egos lead to dumb decisions... There was likely no reason to treat him with such little respect.

I can't help but feel that these developers are stringing along us Nintendo fans with unrealistic goals.

I'm cooled out. Not gonna buy it. Which sucks because I had planned too and this will just Hurt the Wii U's chances even more. Also I think that Assassins Creed III has crappy combat and I really have not enjoyed it, I'm glad I didn't play the other games in the series.

I don't see how the Wii U missing out on shovelware is a bad thing. Get over it, this is not "another sign".

I can kind of understand Amazon's position and tactic here because they believe they got burned on the DS scratching debacle.

I think the N64 is my favorite console of all time. Every few months I check eBay for a DD, but I just can't pull the trigger on a $800+ artifact. Maybe if I win the loto one of these days I'll pic one up. It would be such a cool conversation piece to have sitting underneath my TV.

Ugh. Nintendo needs to make system of software distribution that allows you to: A. Use your software on all their devices (if they have the power)
B. Manage your points/money and recent purchases under one account.

My guess is we'll be seeing a Phil Fish game on the PlayStation sometime soon. What a douche bag, this guy is so annoying.

Telling Miyamoto off would have been career suicide. On that note how come we have not seen this game released on the virtual console? That's a day one buy for many I'm sure.

This gives me a solid reason to pick up where I left off with this game. Wish they had added more online features though...
