Re: Nintendo Confirms Switch Online Service Will Launch In Second Half Of September

I hope this comes with a major firmware update that adds some new feature to the OS.

Would love to see:

Folders
Themes
shop overhaul
Nintendo’s version of achievments/trophies
Streaming services (though not really an OS thing)
A miiverse succesor
Bluetooth headset support
High perfomance mode when in handheld mode but charging
Move mesaging and voice chat to the system itself
A dedicated Nintendo Direct App
And of course more frick’n stability

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Plummets In Response To E3 Direct

Nintendo should release a dock with it's own GPU that allows developers to make AAA games for Switch. Yeah I get it, it's odd to have a separate library of games that you can only play when docked and honestly I don't need most of the games that are skipping the switch, but in terms of business they need to make something with enough horsepower in it so the game devs can include the Switch in their normal development road map instead of making a completely new game just for switch.

Re: Nintendo's Share Value Plunges Amid Reports That 'Quality Of Life' Project Is Dead

I think this E3 is going to be tough for Nintendo because MS and Sony may slash some prices or reveal some great bundles that Nintendo is not ready to compete with. Also, I think it's pretty clear the online service is going to barebones and not be a major revenue driver consider it is so cheap. So not a a whole lot to be excited about as an investor, but as long as sales numbers keep booming they should be good for the long haul.

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Sees Dramatic Rise After Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee Reveals

I think it's worth noting that their stock price lost far more than it gained today just over the last two weeks. So really this is a nice recovery and not a huge gain for the year. I think these gains will be given back leading up to E3 as investor are always nervous about Nintendo not doing enough. What matters is post E3 and keeping those Switches moving off the shelves.

Re: Nintendo Share Value Continues Upward Curve as Analyst Talks Up Company's Mobile Strategy

I think mobile is only having a small impact on the price and already helped to elevate it a bit months ago. People are looking at the stock price back during the Wii era and they're speculating that the Switch will help the price per share reach that point and possibly surpass it, which alone is driving up their valuation. If Nintendo shows record hardware sales in the first year of the Switch's life and higher than expected profit margins come March that might actually happen. Either way it's an exciting time to be a share holder.

@ANeonChicken I agree. Remember when the PS3 would not allow you to access the crossmedia bar while playing a game, but the 360 gave you full access to its dashboard? It takes time build out features on a new product. It would just be nice if Nintendo would share parts of the Switch product roadmap with us.
