Why was the original Pokémon video game artwork like this? I love it and everything, I’ve just always wondered what made them go with this vs. matching the art from the anime and toys
Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Captain Toad, New Pokémon Snap, or Mario Maker 2. Tbh, instead of dlc some games just need things like a better UI, more local or online multiplayer options, or be able to share/find custom stuff among friends easier
I like the EMMIs, it’s just the further into the story they became annoying. You got stronger weapons and abilities as it went on, but the EMMIs didn’t so once you figured it out how to avoid them it became more of a chore than a challenge. Still a great game tho
Kirby. I mean Kirby already turns into a rock as one of his down specials so it’s not that big of a stretch 😜 But given his history with Microsoft he’s probably going to be either Dom from Gears of War or Sgt. Johnson from Halo
What I don’t get (besides the price) is why is it just the paid dlc for Animal Crossing? In 6 months who is going to see the dlc inclusion as an extra reason to get the Expansion Pack? Now if they also added the Smash DLC or the Pokémon expansion passes, that’d be a pretty good deal
Something that would really upset the online ranked battle community but would really mix things up and add more strategy would be to have battles where the player could Mega Evolve, Z-Move, or Dynamax. But the catch is that you can only do ONE of those things during battle. So you’d be facing someone who might have a team built around Pokémon with certain z-moves while you’re team is based on dyna- or Gigantamaxing Pokémon.
Maybe Nintendo hasn’t announced much in 2020 because they don’t want to deal with “fans” who get mad because Nintendo keeps pushing back release dates due to COVID interrupting development. 🤔 Also when did how good/bad a year was change from how many bad games came out, to how many Directs Nintendo did?
EA: We are very interested in developing games for the Switch.*
*Games may actually be bare bone ports. Commitment to this statement may vary. For best results, please buy the most expensive edition of every game at launch and all DLC at full MSRP
@Silly_G You're complaining about the cost of DLC, but you’re also saying that instead of paying $60 for the game + another $20 or so for DLC, but instead you’ll buy the game at launch for $60 and then probably also buy the complete version when it comes which will also cost around $60?
I’ll settle with just a better and more intuitive UI. Finding my friends or people I follow’s levels should be an obvious thing to find in course world. A tab with a star icon doesn’t make me think that’s my friends, it makes me think those are favorite courses or something. Also why are there so many steps to download a level along with no option to select several levels to download at once
@nocdaes I thought Tsum Tsums were made out of some kinda cloth (felt?) and were stuffed with the same kind of stuffing used for traditional stuffed animals and aren’t made of plastic. Or am I thinking of something else?
@HobbitGamer when the first 2DS was released, the 3DS at the time didn’t have those features either. When the New 3DS came out, they released a New 2DS with matching features. Also the Amiibo support and C stick were “options” that developers could add as long you could play the entire game without it.
Look at Super Mario Party, you can’t get to the title screen until the joy-cons are detached and the game sees you’re using just one joy-con per person
Given Nintendo’s history with a cheaper or not as many features consoles, they never remove things that make any game incompatible, so not being able to detach the Joy-Cons sound unlikely.
Why does Nintendo Japan seem to ignore Nintendo of America so much? It’s getting ridiculous at this point... The US hardly gets any Amiibo stock so if you didn’t have one pre-ordered you’re out of luck. We get desktop backgrounds and cheesy printable paper craft things for our My Nintendo coins. 95% we get lackluster limited edition versions of games and the stock they send to the US goes as fast as the Amiibo. What’s the reasoning behind this?
Game Freak could curb the controversy a bit if they said how many total Pokémon there are in S/W. Personally I think a list of who’s in and who’s out would be nice too but that would be like spraying napalm on the problem
Sooo let’s level the playing field by kicking a console to play with the group who play on mobile who have a high likelihood of not having a controller. Seems fair 🤷♂️
The card slot is such a small part of the overall system size so why take it out? What would you put there in its place? Other than shrinking the bezels, there’s not much Nintendo can do to make a switch lite. Even then without the bezel the screen wouldn’t get any larger, games were designed to still work in handheld mode with that specific aspect ratio and screen size in mind
Nintendo fans on most games: Remaster of a fan favorite: Why pay for it again? It also better be EXACTLY like the original or I’m not going to buy But... No extra content? Too short not going to buy Extra content/DLC? Too expensive and should have come with it all at launch, not buying No online Nintendo?! Come on it’s 2019 get with it Some online play? I’m not going to pay for a $20 a year subscription (goes and buys Super Mario Bros. or original Zelda again for latest console)
So... you have a game you deem too controversial for a western release, and yet you have no issues with two characters, four stages, and weapons from those games being in Smash Bros.?
I miss the times when if someone said a game had a glitch, these were what they were meaning. Not like today where most glitches are game breaking and permanently screw your save file.
I was expecting this to just be a dumpster fire of a movie... but it actually looks good! It helps that it doesn’t look like most movies today. Is anyone else getting a Jim Henson feeling with the Pokémon design?
The Prima guides were never as good as the Nintendo Power guides. It was nice though to have a flat 2D overworld map. Plus the guides explained stuff in a basic easy to understand way. The “help” on the internet sometimes assumes you’ve spent 200+ hours in all the prior games of the series and know the meta making it hard to find the simple answers. Also the guides didn’t roast you for having “basic” questions
It’s frustrating that because of all the licensing, player agreements and other legal stuff, the original NBA Jam will probably never be released as some form of “virtual console” game
I think almost perfect as it is currently but a standardized USB-C port so I don’t have to be a bit cautious with what I use to charge it would be nice. And move the ambient light sensor from the bottom of the display to the top or on both sides.
That’s too bad. If they hadn’t stuck with insanely overpriced proprietary SD cards and had invested in speeding up PS store downloads it could have competed better with Nintendo.
