Re: Soapbox: Here's How I'd Fix The Pokémon Series

RadicalThe_Tay

Something that would really upset the online ranked battle community but would really mix things up and add more strategy would be to have battles where the player could Mega Evolve, Z-Move, or Dynamax. But the catch is that you can only do ONE of those things during battle. So you’d be facing someone who might have a team built around Pokémon with certain z-moves while you’re team is based on dyna- or Gigantamaxing Pokémon.

Re: Poll: No, Really, What Was Nintendo's Worst Year?

RadicalThe_Tay

Maybe Nintendo hasn’t announced much in 2020 because they don’t want to deal with “fans” who get mad because Nintendo keeps pushing back release dates due to COVID interrupting development. 🤔 Also when did how good/bad a year was change from how many bad games came out, to how many Directs Nintendo did?

Re: Soapbox: To Me, Mario Maker 2 Is Nintendo's Best, And Most Disappointing, Sequel Ever

RadicalThe_Tay

I’ll settle with just a better and more intuitive UI. Finding my friends or people I follow’s levels should be an obvious thing to find in course world. A tab with a star icon doesn’t make me think that’s my friends, it makes me think those are favorite courses or something. Also why are there so many steps to download a level along with no option to select several levels to download at once

Re: More Evidence Of Rumoured Switch Mini Surfaces Via Accessory Maker Bigben

@HobbitGamer when the first 2DS was released, the 3DS at the time didn’t have those features either. When the New 3DS came out, they released a New 2DS with matching features. Also the Amiibo support and C stick were “options” that developers could add as long you could play the entire game without it.

Look at Super Mario Party, you can’t get to the title screen until the joy-cons are detached and the game sees you’re using just one joy-con per person

Re: Get Your Hands On Real-Life Splatoon 2 T-Shirts And Posters To Celebrate The Final Splatfest

Why does Nintendo Japan seem to ignore Nintendo of America so much? It’s getting ridiculous at this point... The US hardly gets any Amiibo stock so if you didn’t have one pre-ordered you’re out of luck. We get desktop backgrounds and cheesy printable paper craft things for our My Nintendo coins. 95% we get lackluster limited edition versions of games and the stock they send to the US goes as fast as the Amiibo. What’s the reasoning behind this?

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Ditch Physical Media With A 'Switch Lite?'

RadicalThe_Tay

The card slot is such a small part of the overall system size so why take it out? What would you put there in its place? Other than shrinking the bezels, there’s not much Nintendo can do to make a switch lite. Even then without the bezel the screen wouldn’t get any larger, games were designed to still work in handheld mode with that specific aspect ratio and screen size in mind

Re: Talking Point: Is The Remake Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Worth $60?

RadicalThe_Tay

Nintendo fans on most games:
Remaster of a fan favorite: Why pay for it again? It also better be EXACTLY like the original or I’m not going to buy
But...
No extra content? Too short not going to buy
Extra content/DLC? Too expensive and should have come with it all at launch, not buying
No online Nintendo?! Come on it’s 2019 get with it
Some online play? I’m not going to pay for a $20 a year subscription (goes and buys Super Mario Bros. or original Zelda again for latest console)

Re: Strategy Guide Publisher Prima Games Is Shutting Down After 28 Years

RadicalThe_Tay

The Prima guides were never as good as the Nintendo Power guides. It was nice though to have a flat 2D overworld map. Plus the guides explained stuff in a basic easy to understand way. The “help” on the internet sometimes assumes you’ve spent 200+ hours in all the prior games of the series and know the meta making it hard to find the simple answers. Also the guides didn’t roast you for having “basic” questions
