Nintendo had to start somewhere right? Comparing it to Xbox Live and PS+ isn’t totally fair either, Sony and Microsoft have had 10+ years to fine tune their services. If you look back at Live on the OG Xbox it wasn’t much to look at either but Live is now the bar that others try to reach. I kinda think Nintendo is trying to show some love to the consumers by only charging $20 a year currently. They know its a ways off from the others, and they’d rather face complaints for a $20 “bare bones” service than a $60 “bare bones” service.
TL;DR give them more than a day to improve and fine tune things
I like the idea of porting an older game or two to the Switch and then see what kinda response it gets and if it’s good then go all in. Hopefully the same thing will happen with Dark Souls and Diablo 3
@Syrek24 If there was no internet in the future, I would be past moving to other hobbies and more focused on survival, because no internet would probably mean things have gone horribly, horibly wrong. 🧟♂️
How about this, they don’t want the switch port to go unnoticed since it had been delayed, so they decided to release a box set for the PS4/XB1 so customers who don’t follow gaming news will see that the switch version is finally out. And the box set could be to show to the average customer that the switch gets games that are also on “more serious” consoles. And shows that the switch offers more than just the warm and fuzzy games typically associated with Nintendo consoles

Wait. Services stop working if I don’t continue to pay for them?! Is that why my power got shut off?
Re: Final Fantasy VII Is Finally Coming To A Nintendo Console
Did anyone else think they were building to something bigger? I was thinking they’d say Kingdom Hearts was also coming.
Re: Wii U Receives First System Firmware Update Since 2017
With the timing of the update it has to be somehow related to the Switch Online service. If not, that’s a really strange coincidence
