30 fps for such a game? They don't care about the system and its users. Even with a hypothetic 0-day patch, I want to have the full game in a card. Easy saved money.
Excellent. People are not concious of what a mess is the current situation with non-replaceable batteries: waste of resources, contamination and fires and explosions in the landfills.
Let's see which versions are included. The MD version is superior to the Snes, from my point of view. I got Toy Story for my Snes at Chrismas and I was never able to beat it: floaty and with weird hit boxes. Many years ago I could play the Mega Drive version and it's a bit easier and tighter to control.
After reading some comments... I am so glad that I was a child in the 80s and 90s. Poor youth nowadays, permanently living in the hype and constantly being disappointed for everything. It must be hard to live this way.
Great addition of games. I am looking foward to playing them for first time in my life!
Fire Red maybe. I have a really long backlog of RPGs so I should not add any more to the list, and even less a remake of a game that I played almost 30 years ago. But I remember having a lot of fun with my Pokémon Red.
But why do people talk about greed? TPC doesn't own you anything. They do a market studio, they research how much money people would pay for the game and they release it this way. This is a business and gaming is a luxus. Nobody is pointing a gun at you to buy games. You don't die If you don't play a game, don't forget it.
Nintendo and TPC are companies with well paid happy employes and healthy finances. Greed would be having crappy work conditions and overpaid suits.
I bought it and I am quite enjoying it. Wario is fantastic and it is more comfortable to use than I thought. I love the japanese industrial design of the 90s so when I get bored of it, I will leave it on the shelf as a milestone of the good old days, when companies still wanted to take risks. All the glory to Gunpei Yokoi!
2010: we are not paying 10€ for just a game, Nintendo should do like Netflix and offer a subscription plan for these old games. 2020: we don't want to pay a subscription for old games, I want to buy for fifth time the very same games! 2026: Nintendo dropped the ball here, they should make old games in a subscription available! 2126: where is Virtual Chrono Trigger!
We are not talking about some 30 year old games with their developers being about to retire. Here we talk about systems still in the market. And it is always interesting that most of these "hackers" target a Japanese company with a legion of haters in the Internet who want it to go third party.
What I see is a delivered attempt to damage Nintendo and I understand that the company uses its legal resources to avoid it.
In the West Nintendo needs to pump some classic franchises: Super Mario, 1080º, F-Zero, Wave Race... Soccer and basketball needs competition against 2k and EA (Konami? Sega? ). They need to convince millenials, the kids will come later.
Mischief Makers was published by Enix, so I don't see it coming to the NSO. Anyway, this game would be a perfect target for a remake with full 3D graphics and a different control setting for modern controllers.
@Glassneedles For NES and GB I would remap the Select Button to L, as L and R are not needed. For GBA, C-Left and C-Down are my Start and Select buttons. For snes as far as I know you cannot remap the C-buttons unfortunately.
Once they update the Mega Drive app with the mapping option, the N64 controller will be the best classic controller to play with the NSO games: home button, six front buttons, great dpad and better ergomomics than the Snes controller.
The filter was good, now is great. What a pity that we cannot have the same filter for other pixelart games. Final Fantasy VI looks horrible with the one from Squarenix. The same with the Mega Man games.
@Varkster. Nintendo games are pure joy and in this world this cannot be tolerated, it must be destroyed. I've even read posts of young people that cannot enjoy their machines because all the social network negative noise. This is sad.
I still read my magazines from the 90s and even with the console wars stuff, the mood is great, positive and fresh. Nowadays they want you unhappy and rage bait gives clicks.
I am looking forward to buying my Switch 2 at Christmas, like in the old days!
I was there, hating this game after the Spaceworld demo. A couple of year later, it became my second favourite Zelda game after Ocarina. What a lovely adventure!
I don't have any Switch 2, but I found something interesting: the controller leds don't light when pressing buttons, only when you press the synchronizations Button. Does it mean that the controller is off and doesn't drain drain any battery like the Switch controllers? Because I find it great in order to keep the battery healthy, as with the Wii U Pro Controller.
@Dom_31 For me, it was a shock to switch from the precision of the N64 joystick to the Gamecube controller. Also, the D-pad was awful compared to the N64's. Not to mention the lack of six face buttons.

Re: Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Is Real, And It's Launching This Year
Sport games are dead I see. No new Ridge Racer, no Wave Race, F-Zero, 1080, only RPGs and cloned hack and slash games. This hobby is getting boring.

Nintendo Classics apps updated today and tomorrow a Direct... It will be certainly interesting
Re: Nintendo Confirms Switch 2 Revision For Europe
@BLAZINOAH in protest for this decision, I glued the four AA batteries of my Gameboy. So will learn these bureaucrats!

Re: Nintendo Announces Sweeping Price Hikes For Switch 2
I enjoy when some users write "don´t talk about politics". Well, time again for a Greek classic:
“Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you. ”
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Star Fox For Switch 2?
I prefer to wait for the remake of Lylat Wars.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's NES Library With Three More Games
@Glassneedles i have the bad feeling that the Mega Drive app will be removed from the NSO. So many months without any update, even the app itself.
About the NES games. Well thank you, Namco, but I already have them in the Namco Museum Collection.
Re: Poll: 20 Years On, Does Your DS Lite Still Have Charge?
Well, I still use it weekly so better the battery holds 20 years more, haha.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Leakers Deserve "A Thousand Deaths", Says Hideki Kamiya

Hype culture + social media: Consume more, enjoy less.
Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?
Fire Red maybe. I have a really long backlog of RPGs so I should not add any more to the list, and even less a remake of a game that I played almost 30 years ago. But I remember having a lot of fun with my Pokémon Red.
Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen On Switch
Without grey borders! There you have the additional 10€ on top. They have to develop the technology for it!

"Game preservation" or how to put yourself a moral white armour to cover stealing.
Re: Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition Is Getting A Physical Switch Release
@EarthboundBenjy
Wow...
So they basically sell products without any kind of quality control and support. Just some ROMs packed with a bad emulator for 20 €.
Another great job from Digital Eclipse and Ubisoft.
Re: Pro-Evolution Soccer Successor 'eFootball' Is Getting A Switch 2 Exclusive Spin-Off
I will wait for a full review. The framerate in the Direct was a bit odd.

Re: Poll: What Nintendo Switch 2 Games Are You Most Excited For In 2026?
"Am I out of touch? No, it's the children who are wrong."
I want second/first party sport and racing titles, 3D Mario, Animal Crossing, weird cheap B-class games. Until it happens, the Switch 2 can wait.

Awesome, Rayman 2 is a great game. Tonic Trouble however... It has its charm, but plays like a beta of Rayman.
Re: Nintendo To Acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore As A Subsidiary
Wasn´t this studio the responsible of the failed Ridge Racer development for the Switch?

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Four More Titles
Seeing the Konami Logo twice makes me think that some day we will get the Goemon games on the NSO.
I was always interested in the Survival Kids serie. Nice Addition.
