Here we go, Disney is trying to save Mickey Mouse's pending copyright expiry by actually putting him in stuff for once 🙄

They need to give him a personality, because he's pretty much sucked for decades.

The game does look quite generic though. And why is it so zoomed out? Makes it look like one of those early 2000s platform/strategy games where selecting higher resolutions just zoomed out further and further.

What do you mean you can't disable ad-blocking in Brave? There's a dedicated icon for it. You can also choose to disable ads only on certain websites.

Well it's not like Sonic 2 had much "kids choice" competition if they only had those other more teen/adult movies to choose from 🙄

Sonic 2 sucked hard except for maybe the last 5 minutes. Those kids will realise when they watch it again as an adult. All the jokes were pop-culture based that no kids understood or laughed at in my theatre. Jim Carrey lost his mojo and nothing he said was funny (is that because he wasn't allow to improv? Or was he just phoning it in?).

And that pointless side story with the wedding was like watching a completely different movie.

What a failure.

Ok, that album is a bit weird. They're looping tracks made for people to put in their retro games or something? Is that the composer's intention? It's only 15 minutes total, and the tracks don't even have real names.

Sure, bring her back to Mario Kart. Most MK8 songs are a bit crap anyway, so someone fresh like her might help.

FPS with a game controller sucks. Plus you'd probably have a narrower field of view, making it even easier for someone to sneak up on you.

Hollow Knight's controls and hit detection were a little sluggish which made it annoying to play. Boss fights especially were very frustrating because of this.
Going back to something like Axiom Verge and The Messenger is like a breath of fresh air with perfect response.

Hollow Knight also had this non-stop depressing vibe which made everything a downer. Overall I enjoyed it enough to finish it, but it's not one of my favourites.

lol, 90-100min is practically the standard for all comedies and kids movies. Did anyone really expect this to be a 2 hour movie? So funny to read discussions (or even an article) about the damn runtime 🤦‍♂️

10 minutes of that will be end credits for all the CGI artists though.

Seems like more of a side attraction if you're going to Universal Studios anyway.

If they want repeat visitors, maybe they should beef up the cafe so that people can just come for the food and chill out in an amazing environment.

Metroid Dread sucks 👎 The graphics are horribly bland and have nasty-looking prerendered CGI, and the constant running away from robots ruins the exploration theme that has always been part of Metroid games. This doesn't feel like Metroid, it feels like a half-baked, bargain bin eShop game.

uhh... people are really falling for this, like it's the last time they'll ever see Ash and Pikachu together? How many pop culture "finals" are truly final? 🙄

But yes, the original voice actress was great and you can tell she really loved being Ash.

Cashing in on the minor "knight" naming craze is really groan-worthy (it was cringy enough when Hollow Knight did this 🙄), but despite that, I'll be getting this.

This game runs just as bad on Xbox Series S. I played about 15 minutes and couldn't handle the poor framerate any more.

Something's wrong if this game needs a PS5 or decent PC just to run smoothly.

The voices also felt off because the characters don't look like they're saying anything. You just hear these dubbed lines over their closed mouths.

Definitely into it, but jesus does the name need to be another "knight" cash-in? They couldn't think up anything more original? 🙄

As for the bullet-hell bloom issue, I guess we'll only know after playing it.

haha even for a game like this, I wouldn't be surprised if its capped at 30fps on Switch. If I get it, I'll be playing on Series S.

Trailer was a bit cringey, Stan doesn't really sound like a salesman, and the art is a bit off-putting (Guybrush is pretty much just as ugly as the other later games). I'm thinking it'll be a bit disappointing, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'll probably buy it anyway as a thank you for the good times I had with the first 3 games.

@Anti-Matter @Zuljaras - While I'd like a DDR revival, that's not gonna happen with this competition. Konami aren't going to fund a game that requires a peripheral, it's way too risky and niche.
DDR using a PC keyboard has made an indie comeback in the form of Friday Night Funkin, so there is some hope that in a few years music games will eventually become popular again.

Yeah well she's transgender. Seems like every time I see an article about a woman that's into game programming, chiptune music etc, a quick Google search reveals they're transgender.

I'd also love to hear about more women involved in the technical side of synths/chiptunes and game programming that are not transgender. Yes there were a couple japanese NES composers back in the day, but it's quite rare outside of traditional composing.

well... I think some of these questions were lost in translation.

I think the only way Nintendo would agree to it is if the Switch version of GamePass has Xbox exclusives only.

And it would have to be cloud-based from a technical standpoint anyway: digital versions wouldn't run on the Switch due to it being completely different (and underpowered) hardware.

I'm not reading the review or watching any videos as I don't want spoilers. Just wanted to mention that I just bought Axiom Verge 2 on Epic and looking forward to playing it. I spent many hours on the original.

The sprites are just too small, like you're always in a mini-map mode.

Definitely has that 80s/90s boxart vibe, where you had to use your imagination for what that tiny sprite might look like.

I don't mind the art, but I didn't care for the game though. The whole one-hit death thing is just too stressful and repetitive.

Heck, I'm seriously considering the Series S. A cheap-ish console where I can play casual/indie games on the couch without any sacrifices is looking very attractive. I don't care for third-party AAA games, I'd rather play them on PC with keyboard and mouse.

This quote basically means nothing. "At this time" can mean this week, this month, this year.
And it doesn't say "no plans for any other model at this time", it says no plans for LAUNCHING any other model at this time. Big difference.

Whinge whinge whinge 🙄 It's not illegal, so there's nothing you can do unless the retailer puts a limit per customer.

The OLED will essentially replace the original model, so it's not disappearing any time soon. If you want it so bad, find the same tools that these 'scalpers' use.

But yes, where the heck is Transformed (should run at 60fps now too)? I loved that game and the tracks had a decent length for once, unlike MK8 which made me feel ripped-off with its tiny tracks. Although MK8 was my favourite due to its active online multiplayer.
