Re: Feature: Fire Emblem Engage Devs On "Drastically Different" DLC And Characters "Living As The Person They Want To Be"

Porky

I would had posed a question relating to their optimization. Why is it worse than previous entries? Why can't I buy X amount of consumables like Tonics and Vulneraries more than one at a time? Also, why doesn't these items stack in the convoy? They're set individually. I take a big issue with this since it was seamless in Fates as they stacked properly, but every time I'm loading up my party with Tonics in Preparations, it's such a chore to scroll through the list again for the next Tonic as it doesn't remember your last placement either. I had hoped they would had remedied this in one of their DLC wave updates, but seems like they're done with this game, update wise.

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online N64 Library With Another Game Next Week

I never understood how anyone could say Stadium or Stadium 2 are impossible with rentals. You're pretty limited to your monster choices. but that's what it is: a test of knowing which monsters to pick. You're going to get unlucky and lose every now and again, but it's not so bad. What people mean by 'impossible' is rather "can't steamroll".

Re: Nintendo Introduces Chloe In Fire Emblem Engage

@steely_pete Lyn's popularity soared through Fire Emblem Heroes, a mobile gacha game, with much new art she received that exaggerated her proportions compared to her original design. Little before was Lyn recognized and discussed outside being an assist trophy in Smash. I'd wager much of her fanbase that spawned with FEH know little about her actual character and is just a 'fan' of her art.

I fail to see why you point out Lyn however, as she's as far from a knight as it gets growing up in a tribe and fought in similar garb appropriate for hunting and the like.

I miss the times pre Awakening when female character art were really tame and wore convincing gear as if they're fighting in a kill-or-be-killed war, no overly revealing tops. More in lines of Jill from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn needed no assistance in her appeal. But I blame it on the fact that sex appeal sells more than class designs and it showed evidently throughout Fire Emblem history of games.

Re: The Nintendo 64 Platformer Glover Is Coming Soon To Switch

Porky

Seeing as how I let my NSO standard subscription expire and no intentions of being locked into the Expansion Pass, I'm delighted that this game will be a standalone N64 purchase that I can be assured I can still play a decade beyond even when support for Switch gets dropped eventually!

Re: Nintendo Introduces Celica In Fire Emblem Engage

I hope Alm is back as well. Of the two, I thought Alm was the more popular. But probably has female bias if they had to choose 1; they neglected both as a pair in FE Warriors only adding Celica representing Echoes and I hope to goodness sake that they don't repeat that with this game.. Alm is a beast, love the character, wanna see more of him outside his main game.

Re: Get A Free Nintendo Live Banner In Splatoon 3 With This QR Code

@Dev9417 It being expensive is a blessing. Money sinkhole's are healthy for the game. Splatoon 3 really went out of its way to make sure there's plentiful ways to make use of cash other than ordering gear from other players, Splatnet gear, and Scrubbing so that money won't stockpile to the maximum like in Splatoon 2 for many who regularly played.

You really just want to try it out once a day spending the discounted price while saving up to upgrade your gear. It having the one roll at a discounted price per day incentives the player to come back daily too; it's genius.

Re: Mario Kart Tour To Remove Gacha Elements Next Month

@johnvboy Do you feel satisfaction for not spending a cent on a game designed to entice people in spending money? I often find you in these mobile related articles gloating you don't like an echo chamber so I have to ask. You bring up majority and minority at a similar rate, but you realize we're the minority that doesn't mind being drip-fed content whereass the majority, weaker-willed, have funded this game be it a 20 bucks or pocket change to secure the content right then without tedious grind. It's why this game is still afloat.

Re: Pokémon's Diamond & Pearl Remakes Become The Second Biggest Switch Game Launch In Japan

Porky

@mr-duster The problem lays in it not being an option for those that want to use the same party of Pokes, but don't want to switch any out to not be overleveled and easily sweep the mid to late game ridding of any remote of challenge. Pokemon X/Y and Sun/Moon it was optional. It wasn't until Pokemon Let's Go where the toggle-able option was cut out. It's not asking for much; there was a mod made for BDSP that toggled the EXP Share OFF a day or two after the release.
