Ooooowh so now we're gonna upload everything that ever was on Nintendo Video, right?! Can't wait for the Kirby Right Back At Ya! for 100 platinum coins per episode!
Never going to happen. The wii sold amazing because of the casual appeal of the console. They all moved to their smartphones to play simple games everywhere. Sure, the switch is made to be carried with you, but I don't think that the casial audience wants to have a dedicated system to play with. To be honest, I think it would be more realistic to expect that the Switch will just outsell the gamecube.
I just hope the Wii U version isn't bad optimised, I want to play this game without many noticeable framerate drops, but I also don't want to buy a Nintendo Switch just for this game.. (The other games on the Switch don't interest me)
Here in the Netherlands almost all pre-orders are sold out.. There is one retailer who's still offering switches, but they ask €330,- for grey units and €350 for the colored ones. So I guess I have to wait until a Switch pre-order comes up at a reasonable price
Why does Nintendo keep all these important things a secret? It's not like it makes me more curious for the Switch, It's only going to make me more uncertain whether to buy a Switch or not...
I think a 9 is WAY too optimistic, considering all the flaws this version has compared to the wiiU version i.e. No levels that can be uploaded (what is the point of making levels when you never use streetpass?!), no amiibo costumes (no reward for playing 100 mario challenge) and the terrible lag on the super mario bros u version. This is just a cheap move of nintendo to sell more systems and give Mario Maker the sales it deserves. If you think the game is worth a 9 it's of course your opinion, but I think this should be worth no more than a 7.5
I think these attractions will mostly be 3d experiences or something like that. There is a French theme park, which has an attraction involving the Rabbids. It's something like a 4D experience, where you're watching a humouristic movie while you're riding through the attraction. Considering Universal is an expert when it comes to creating these experiences (I've never been to their theme parks, but looking at their attractions they have made more of those '4D experiences'), I expect Nintendo's attractions to be just like that.
Didn't see this coming.. Those doodle lessons are nice though! It only would be nice if Nintendo made some new art of Nintendo characters. Call me if I'm wrong, but that Mario drawing is a doodle from Super Mario 64 DS, which came out in 2004 -_-
Love these little touches, and a little bit of humour is something you don't see quite often from a developer. I hope that the Switch will be more appreciated!
I also wonder if Nintendo can put the built-in NFC technology in smartphones to use with amiibo. I saw some time ago a video where someone opened an emulator running Xenoblade Chronicle on his phone, using a Shulk Amiibo. Maybe Nintendo can make a free game where you can unlock certain minigames using Amiibo?
The idea of using your amiibo on either your NX, your 3DS and your smart devices seems like a big opportunity for Nintendo to use Amiibos as the link between these products. You could even swap data between games on the NX and on smartphones to unlock things or progress further in a game. This could encourage non-gamers to buy the NX if they look at Nintendo's smartphone games and see that they can do 'more' with it by buying specific amiibo or software for the NX.
Don't see myself playing this a lot on the NES mini because I'm not someone who likes to beat my own high score everytime. I also think this game hasn't aged very well compared to the other NES games. On a side note, I'm really glad that they took a new turn with the series by realeasing Donkey Kong Country, after all the ports and remasters of the arcade Donkey Kong. IMO the Country series is the best platformer series of all time, with each entry scoring at least an 8 out of 10.
@RyanSilberman I think Nintendo wants to separate the rewards for playing mobile games and buying full, retail games. I assume that Super Mario Run will have some achievements with Platinum coins as a reward.. It pretty useless if you only play the mobile games though, considering the fact that all you can do with Platinum coins is getting discounts for retail games... Or you can of course get those wonderful Miitomo costumes
I got the discount for The Wind Waker and My Nintendo Picross was fun for a few hours... Other than that, I'm hugely disappointed with My Nintendo. I hope that when the NX comes out Nintendo will offer better deals like physical rewards or discounts on new games. It would also help if you could get Gold coins when you've purchased a game physically.. But right now there's so little My Nintendo has to offer, I've gotten to the point where I bought all the Home Themes, even though I don't use them.
I'm thinking in the exact same way you think about save files. When I a few years younger I had a R4-card where you could manually delete the save file off the card. When I wanted to replay a game I always deleted the whole save file so I got a special intro (like in Super Mario 64, where you had to tap a star to start the game when you booted it up for the first time). It's not that extreme anymore, but when I traded my Wii for a Wii U I still replayed Galaxy 1 and 2 just because I didn't have a complete save file.
I am really curious how a sequel to Earthbound would look like on the NX. I think the game would sell well because of Ness' appearance in Super Smash Bros. I wonder if they could change Earthbound to a 3D RPG with colourful landscapes and battles with abstract shapes floating in the background. I'm sure Nintendo is not going to do this because Earthbound is a very unknown franchise, but I think the game would be impressive if they made it for the NX.
Maybe it's something with Luke as the protagonist? I mean, at the end of Unwound Future Luke moves to another place and writes a letter to Layton about strange things happening there.. It could have been a hint to the Last Spectre, but maybe they'll go on from Unwound Future?
Does anyone really care about this? Or about Streetpass in general? Maybe it's just because I almost always leave my 3ds at home, but I'm not really excited when I get a puzzle piece...
Looks really fake to me. I hope that Nintendo doesnt do too much with these 'innovative' screens because this looks like a gimmick that everybody gets tired of pretty quick.
It looks like Nintendo has much confidence in miitomo so I hope for them that it will be a success. But to be honest, this doesn't look appealing to me, and I doubt I'm the only one.
I actually thought that the golden rewards would stack up, like when you buy a €45 game, you get 10 + 20+30 +40 + 50 coins. It's always nice to get free stuff, but since I rarely buy a full priced game in the eShop, this isn't really going to help me.
Meh, doesn't really look interesting to me. I'll play this when it comes out, just for the sake of earning Platinum Points, but this will probably be one of these apps that I play for a week and then delete it.
To be honest, I don't think that the PS VR will become a huge success. There are probably some gamers who will buy and try it, but I don't think that te mass will fall for VR. I just don't think VR is suited for gaming.
Well, I'm not really keen on this, but can somebody explain why the 3ds can handle games that are way heavier than SNES games? And why can my mobile SNES emulator handle those games while running on a different processor and OS, just like the 3ds?
Don't really understand the hate for Federation Force tbh. Maybe it's just because I've never played a 'real' Metroid game, but the gameplay looks fun to me and I think it doesn't deserve the hate.
This sound really good, as well for the NX as for Nintendo as a company. EA has earlier said that Nintendo "is old-fashioned" but since they want to put their games on the NX, I expect the NX to be modern.
Since Nintendo's audience has become very small (They only have the 'hardcore' fanbase, the families and young children as an audience) They need to convince another audience to buy their console. I think that putting EA sport games on the NX is a great step forward, and IMO it is the only way for Nintendo to keep making consoles.

Why is the rating for 1-2-Switch 7+?
I mean, it should get at least a 16+ rating because of that milking minigame...

Why can' t Nintendo show us some new Zelda footage instead of reusing the same footage from the trailers ;-;
