Nintendo is slowly but surely ramping up its promotional push for the launch of the Nintendo Switch on March 3rd, and in Japan it has unleashed a series of new TV spots to spread awareness of its big titles.
We've already seen several new adverts for 1-2-Switch, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Dragon Quest Heroes I•II are also getting some attention. The latter also features in a TV spot alongside FIFA 18.
From these commercials it's clear that Nintendo is pushing the hybrid angle hard; it really wants to communicate the fact that you can take your game with you on the road by showing the Switch docked at the beginning before displaying its mobile power out of the house.
What do you think of these commercials, and the game footage shown in them? Let us know with a comment.

Why can' t Nintendo show us some new Zelda footage instead of reusing the same footage from the trailers ;-;
Now if we can only get a confirmation on Heroes getting localized. I really want that game on my switch. Would rather not have to go to the trouble of importing it if possible.
This is a long shot but anyone know if it has an english option for the text? If so, I'll probably just go ahead and import.
How about a few tv adverts in the UK nintendo?? Don't think I've seen a single one yet
Good way of advertising. Looking real good!.
Mennnn i am drooling over that Dragon quest! I want it now.
I really hope dragon quest 1 and 2 get localised for release. I've heard so many good things about the franchise and I really want to get invested in it.
@Pluto14 I rather not see any new footage of Zelda. Nintendo are awful when it comes to preserving spoilers.
@Marios-love-child
Because there hasn't been any here even though launch is just around the corner. Sony rules the UK and Ninty know it. Seriously though I haven't seen any kind of switch advertising here in the UK,this is not a good sign for the future of Ninty in UK
Zelda sells on being Epic.
Dragon Quest sells on looking classic while also being portable.
Seems reasonable enough.
@Eric258 I'd start with Dragon Quest VII and VIII on 3DS then, if I were you. Those are actual main games in the Dragon Quest franchise.
Warriors I & II are 'merely' spin-offs by the same developer as Samurai and Hyrule Warriors. Ridiculously fun spin-offs, mind you, but still spin-offs.
@Akropolon Oh, okay. Thank you!
@NintySnesMan
Thats part of the problem the fact there have been no adverts for it
Pretty much every one ive shown videos or pictures of the switch too think it's a brilliant idea and they're interested in getting one but in most cases if it wasn't for me telling them about it they wouldn't have known it existed
Those starved for new Zelda footage... I found a few new clips in this strange Japanese Youtube show. A lot of the footage is stuff/areas we've seen but there are a couple new (to my knowledge) clips like Link getting struck by lightning, and checking out some of the wildlife and stuff.

I recommend muting it.
@Marios-love-child
Ninty did the same with wii u,I only saw 2 adverts and they were shown between programmes that non gamers watch. They so got it wrong and now with 2 weeks to go absolutely no switch advertising in UK. I mentioned it to family and they had some idea of what it was but thought it was a tablet only,also for the record they have no interest in it. I asked why no interest and the answer was simple and straight to the point PS4
I don't watch TV period so I can't comment on any TV adverts or lack thereof in the UK.
My only theory is that Nintendo have decided to concentrate on their more lucrative markets for the Switch's launch; which the UK is unfortunately far from being one. Although I do hope they change things up come the run up to Christmas; hopefully by then they'll have had a little success post launch and with some more titles released can aim for a push during the Christmas season.
Dragon quest looks very smooth and fun.
Hopefully DQ Heroes comes Stateside. It would really be a shame if it didn't.
Hurray for marketing. I haven't seen more than 2 ads in Miami and one was for the super bowl. Of course I don't watch much tv so..
Is there any word on a stateside release for DQ heros? It looks like a fun game, I haven't played a DQ in so long I doubt I know much about the characters/
That Dragon Quest game looks like a lot of fun. First time I had actually taken a look at it
I just realized Switch and Zelda are out in two weeks and I'm hyperventilating.
Dragon quest Heroes looks pretty fun actually! Really wish Dragon Quest Builders was coming to Switch too though.
@Pluto14 Because Spoilers
I don't want to see too much before I play the game.
@FX102A Aside from the Super Bowl ad, I've seen nothing in the U.S. I don't know what they consider their most lucrative markets.
All Dragon Quest games and Yooka-Laylee need to come to the Switch ASAP, that's the only reason I did not pre-order a Switch.
