Re: Bloodstained Is Officially Kickstarter's Most Successful Video Game Campaign

@Kirk I'd like to look at your examples... But for lawds's sake, no screenshots?! I mean, I like YouTube as much as the next person, but you've typed up so much, I dont want to miss a word while watching eight 3-minute videos just so I can see AN example of what your talking about. Screenshot 1 second... Or better yet, just a game title showing these examples.

Where are the darn Amiibo cards already?! Geez... Until I realized how many Amiibo there would be, I was on board to collect them all (no. No pun inferred) now, since the issues arose, and there are like 100+ Amiibo on the way... I jus want the cards (So they can go neatly into a folder next to my U) :/

Re: Humble Bundle Issues Official Statement About Region-Locked Nintendo Promotion

@Marec409 as the OP of this "debate" hasn't chimed in yet, I'm holding off any further comments concerning said subject (I get your point, I just feel we got trolled)... And yes, Sexism/Racism is a serious accusation, still don't mean people don't think that way. I, along with other minorities deal with it on a daily basis... On to the actual news: Did you pick up the bundle? since its for charity (and the only time I've given to charity is 1$ at the market, and I believe that was only twice) I was looking at 3$ per game with a 2:1 split in favor of the charity (since I own all but 2.5 of the titles already, one on Wii U but not 3DS)!

Re: Humble Bundle Issues Official Statement About Region-Locked Nintendo Promotion

@Marec409 sorry... We got off on the wrong foot. As a parent that has sent his child to school for game design (if that's even a field... He's claims there's work at the end of the tunnel) and hearing about the sexism in the gaming industry, I have a bit of a skewed view. Supporting underrepresented people is a charity, because if someone didn't help us, we would still be without voting, or rights

Re: Feature: Explaining Humble Bundle and What it Could Mean for Nintendo and Nindies

Platypus101

I understand the concerns with "race to the bottom" pricing, but why not mention that games may be overpriced for the current generation of gamers. Let's face it, 10$ off physical titles/15$ off digital would go a long way in moving product... Not saying that devs don't deserve their money, but if they are not going to see much money due to pricing policies, that's not our fault as gamers.

Re: Humble Bundle Issues Official Statement About Region-Locked Nintendo Promotion

Platypus101

@ALinkttPresent you talk of charities saving lives... Yet you claim that you will only give your cash to the devs to create more games... Why did you not buy the titles when they were full price to support them? Also, the beginning of your post, is sexist/racist at best. what you said was "I'd rather underpay devs than give one dime to women or minorities". I'd rethink that statement, as no matter how you read it, you come off like a jerk.

Re: Talking Point: The Fragility of Buying Download Games

Platypus101

@Onion thank you! For clearly stating what needed to be said... On the occasion that I want to play a cartridge game, I clean the contacts first (as I don't want to promote any further degradation of the contacts points - console or cartridge) my first PS1 finally lost the drive on the console, sure I was able to repair it,, but how much longer will said parts company be in business? I say, Play your games, now, isn't that why we bought 'em? BTW, I love all my old consoles, why I still have 'em!

Re: Gallery: Wii U Owners React to Screenshot Removal on Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures Miiverse Community

Platypus101

Oh no! Let's all whine and cry about the lack of social media outlets we are limited to! Who cares!? Except those hoping to get little kids to read their vulgar Miiverse post. Go ahead and argue that, see how silly it sounds as you type it. "I only have Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest... Waaaaaaaaaagh!" Yup that's what you sound like. No questions about it. GOOD WORK NINTENDO, leave the trolls behind... Miiverse is a joke, the faster they remove that feature, the faster we can move on from "Social Media" (no, Miiverse is just a place for you to SEE something someone posted, no real interaction, just loads of "look at me") on our consoles.... Too much to say, gotta get back to playing games, and stop socializing.

Re: Talking Point: It's Too Early to Write Off the Wii U Over The Legend of Zelda's Delay

Platypus101

So... We no longer judge consoles on entertainment value? Just solely on sales? Wow. I'm sure this is why the industry is failing miserably for the console side... smartphone games sell the most these days! So, we should just play those, also, they're free! Stupid discussion, were gaming, not running a company. Let's all go back to finding good games the old fashioned way, without sales figures.

Re: Community Interview: Give Us Your Affordable Space Adventures Questions for KnapNok Games and Nifflas

Platypus101

@accc seriously... This is the question you think is appropriate for asking? There are a million other things to ask, but you gotta troll?! Stop. Please. Be civil. This is why devs don't like to talk to their consumers, look at the type of question you're asking... Don't reply with some lame-ass "trying to prove you're right" comment, not interested, and neither is anyone else.

Re: Iwata: We Are Challenging Ourselves To Redefine What "Nintendo Platforms" Mean

Platypus101

@Caryslan @ToneDeath I have the same concerns as @ToneDeath... I hope this turns out as a positive for us all (consumers and creators, both) and that we don't end up with a useless (or worse, defunct) account system after a year or so. I see what @Caryslan is saying about them not giving up on console titles, but at the same time, I've seen kids drop great games in favor of just sitting on their butts to play repetitious mobile titles, simply because it required less effort So, there's that fear as well, that an average Mobile title will blow up like Candy Crush or Angry Birds. Eh, too much talking from me, your turn!
