Seriously though, is it just two characters? Sorry but for $5 I would expect something else. Even if the two characters fought different versions of the bosses or had a new level. That'd justify it for me.

@Haru17 You're in for a bad time mate. A shame you don't like the "dodge and punish" style of these games. Until you get really good at it, and start playing on Non Stop Infinite Climax, you'll be relying on witch time to deal most of your damage.

As far as Genesis goes, gimme all the Streets of Rage and all the Golden Axes. After that I don't care, just move on to Saturn and Dreamcast.

@rjejr I don't know dude, it just seems like other game's practices have made you weary.
I think of a game like MH; they always do a bunch of post release dlc. And given the nature of it, I always figure it was ideas they had that just didn't make the deadline for the base game. The dlc is never a real selling point to most, but it does give the players you already roped in more reason to play.

Also, it's a Kirby game. There's always unlockables. These guest characters are something new for a Kirby game and I am as certain as I can be about an unreleased game that we will still have plenty to unlock. Alternate version of the story, minigames, post game, Arena, etc.

Super hyped. Been waiting for a danmaku to appear on Switch amongst all the shmups.

Yep, this will likely be the first game I buy from the Nihon eshop. Oh boi.

@rjejr I don't understand? Sure some games have had a bad tendency to seemingly strip content from a game just to sprinkle it on later, but I think you are generalizing sir. Like you've felt so harrassed by dlc that any dlc at this point is a sore point.

This is just a fun bit of fanservice that adds to what will likely be a great Kirby adventure. It doesn't change the base game, just gives the player a chance to reminisce with old favourites. I can easily imagine that HAL didn't orginally plan to put these guest characters in, but post production decided it would be nice.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Can you not. Calling the Switch a handheld is inaccurate. If you were to say "Switch isn't a traditional console" that would be a more agreeable statement. Y'all (not just you) need to quit it on trying to classify Switch as just a handheld.

@retro_player_22 you're not wrong about them using the Hamster NeoGeo games as an indicator. That makes sense. The only thing I disagree with is that Heroines is meant to be some sort of test. I would think that if it was exclusive to the Switch, but it's not. I will eat my words for KOFXV skips the Switch, but I don't think they have any real correlation.
Also, hey man I bought FF Explorers. It was fun...for a time :/

I'm loving that shmups are being "revived" on switch. Just waiting getting the bullet hells too. Especially any shmups or danmaku made by Cave.

Interest peaked. I've always wondered if my knowledge of web design would make for a relatively easy transition to game design, so thia may be the way to find out.

@Masurao I'd argue Freedom Planet was better than Sonic Mania. I only hope that FP2 is just as good, if not better.

Not what I was expecting from SNK but ya know what. Looks like some silly fun, successor to another silly fun game, I love SNK's history, hoping to see some Metal Slug characters...I'll gladly try this.

Sweet heavens yes. This is a game I would easily buy on every console/device I own...except mobile. Not a phone gamer.

It's based on the iOS release so that explains why no 3ds release. I'm looking forward to playing this iteration to death.

Kirby, TWEWY, SNK Dream Match game. All have my interest, these will hold me over nicely until Bayo 3 and SMTV. Great mini.

And no, no to the controller. They already popped out the Pro controller for Switch, which will work just fine for anyone missing a more classic experience. It's quite nice and I nabbed one knowing Street Fighter collection and BlazBlue CTB are on the way.

Good use of their momemtum and better online features are all I can ask for. Make it a good year to be a Switch owner.

Do these additional characters change the bosses or enemy placement at all? That's what really tends to sell me on dlc like this.

Fingers crossed for SaGa Frontier eventually getting a re-release/update release. Though I know that likely would not be on Switch sadly.

Jeez Kirby, having a bad day? This is odd for a Kirby game imo, and really sucks that this is what (probably) ends out the kirby fever on 3ds. Especially since I loved everything that came out between Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot.
