Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Baldo Review?

Perryg92

It's a real shame that it's launched like this.
Doesn't sound well optimised in general as even the new gen consoles appear to be 1080p 30fps.
I've also seen a few videos saying that the first dungeon is needlessly difficult because it's so unclear.
Will wait for a while to see if it gets fixed up (I can imagine SwitchUp will check it out again in their "Patched Up" series).

For now i'll go for Psychonauts 2 on my PS5 instead.

Re: Tomb Raider Team Shares Early Development Footage Of Tomb Raider: Legend For GBA And DS

Perryg92

The first two lines of the heading hyped me up a little too quickly thinking the Keeley Hawes games were Switch bound and was showing early footage xD

Really cool to see this footage. Those were the days where they made bespoke versions for the weaker consoles.

I had Legend on PSP (It was near on par with the PS2 game but with lower textures) and remember thinking how amazing it was to have a fully fleshed out Tomb Raider game handheld.
Also got the HD collection on PS3.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Info Is Coming "Soon", Says The Pokémon Company

Perryg92

Very intrigued by the game after seeing Cyndaquil return (was my starter in Gold on GBC, so very fond memories)

It's it bad of me though to say I hope that maybe Bandai Namco pop in to help Game Freak with it!?
Granted New Pokemon Snap is linear and has the occasional slow down, framerate hiccup. But to me the game looks so much better than Sw/Sh!
We need that chimchar we saw in the trailer to be running higher than 5fps! xD

Re: The Ten Best Wholesome Games On Switch

Perryg92

Own 9 of those 10 games listed.
A decade ago I would never have touched those types of games. Guess as you get older, you just yearn for more chilled vibes.

(also have Littlewood too which is very relaxed and wholesome 👍)

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Metroidvania Games

Perryg92

Never used to be into the Metroidvania genre, but then I played Yoku's Island Express and really enjoyed it. Then Ori and the Blind Forest... Loved it! And currently playing Will of the Wisps and consider it a masterpiece.
And I got all 3 games in eshop sales (Yoku around £3-4, Ori 1 & 2 for £10 each!) absolute steals!
Hoping I like Metroid Dread if I get it once it releases 🤞

Re: Nintendo's E3 Direct To Air 15th June

Perryg92

@anoyonmus That's what I was saying... It won't be at the direct.
But just noted it could generally exist outside of it pre or post E3.
Additionally I also said "Tbh in all seriousness, I don't expect a new upgraded console anytime soon." so we seem to be on the same page.
I agree with @BanjoPickles that the current switch still has a good life span.

Re: Nintendo's E3 Direct To Air 15th June

Perryg92

Just because the E3 Direct is software focused doesn't rule out a Switch Pro generally... Watch how Nintendo just randomly drop a trailer of the Pro on Friday, completely out of the blue xD
Didn't that happen with the Lite?

Tbh in all seriousness, I don't expect a new upgraded console anytime soon. Looking forward though to seeing what will be on show at the E3 Direct! Hoping some BotW 2 details or even just another trailer.... Another Mario Strikers from Next Level Games maybe!

Re: Exclusive: Writer Of Lockdown Horror Hit 'Host' Is Aiming To Revolutionise FMV Games With 'Ghosts'

Perryg92

The premise of this sounds really cool! It being "live" and having creatures from Jim Henson's workshop! Awesome stuff!
Definitely gonna chip in on Kickstarter for a physical Switch copy and told my friends to come over in Feb 2022 for a Game Night in my home cinema (hopefully by then we can see people in each others homes!)

Even if it turns out a bit lacklustre, happy to try and help others bring their creative ideas to life

Re: Soapbox: Hurry Up And Release The Switch Pro Already, My Switch Is Dying

Perryg92

Thankfully my 2017 V1 Switch hasn't had any glaring issues (tis a US console, I'm from UK, doubt there's any difference in production line though)
I use Hori Split Pad for handheld play due to all the joycon drift.

A friend recently bought himself the Monster Hunter console as his V1 console battery was lasting less than an hour for any game. And he's had a Switch a year less than me.
Thought he was a bit mad to double dip when there's surely going to be a Pro announced soon.

Re: Review: TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD - An Enjoyably Old-School Aussie Romp

Perryg92

Heads up Stuart, you may want to amend the minimap dilemma marked as a negative.

You can click left/right on the d-pad whilst driving and exploring areas to change the map size.
There's like five variations, with 3 taking up the entire screen, zoomed it at different amounts, and is translucent so you can maintain driving.
Played the entire game handheld and the large maps helped navigation alot!

Re: TY The Tasmanian Tiger 2 HD Launches On The Switch eShop Next Week

Perryg92

Damn! Didn't realise the launch price is $30.
I got it for £15 I think when backing on Kickstarter.

Ty 1 is the better game I feel. More in line with other 3D platformers like Banjo... Ty 2 takes a weird turn... But still excited to play.
Never played 3, but I don't think it originally released in the EU region
