Unfortunately this is the same song and dance as every score with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Even Explorers of the Sky got under 60 in Metacritic despite that being one of the best entries. And this is similar to how the original games scored widespread, even close to Super Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

That said, no one at the site is losing their jobs besides the person who leaked the assets. But losing their connections with Nintendo Portugal, not getting review copies of their games, and not being invited to any local events is gonna hurt them.

You're all letting anxiety cloud logical judgement and making y'all melodramatic. Every single major release that Nintendo has put out that had an expansion pass has had this rating. If Animal Crossing is gonna get a big content update months or a year from now, that's probably what it is.

If I didn't have to buy 80 dollars worth of individual maps for Fire Emblem, and if literally none of those sub services have appeared outside of mobile, then no MTX is gonna come to this game. Think with your minds people, not with your fear.

I wouldn't rule out the fact that it's possible Nintendo could help out with publishing internationally in some cases. Call of Duty is published by Sony in Japan, some of the FF games are published by Bandai Namco in Asia. Not hard to believe.

People here worried about outsourcing are sure gonna be real confused by the fact that most of Nintendo's products credit a lot of external companies with asset outsourcing, including ARMS and Mario Kart. This isn't like Other M, where an external company is charged with developing the game. This is Retro Studios hiring more external parties to help develop assets.

It's so odd how far we've come from "We can't develop A Hat in Time for the Switch, it's impossible to get the engine working on it." to "We got it working on Switch and somehow got all the DLC working on it through a method we cannot replicate for other consoles."

The number is now out of date. Media Create messed up their data analysis and revised the number to 160k+ Which means it brings the total to 250k with original Switch sales included, somewhat more in line with Famitsu data.

It’s a huge mistake that influenced stock values, jobs are gonna be destroyed.

That said literally anyone saying Japanese are hesitant about the Switch because of drift are actually making up your own narrative. Switch Lite sales are nearing 200k in less than 3 days while the original Switch model actually got a boost in sales for that week.

@rjejr this would make sense except Software totals overperformed last quarter t such a point that any loss from a lowered forecast was wiped. And they didn’t actually change any financial forecast regarding income and profit.

@diwdiws it technically is referring to the number of accounts currently subscribed to NSO, which excludes accounts using free trials. Later in the briefing Furukawa mentioned that it was key to keep those subs retained throughout the year and to increase it.
