Something is off around the eyes
Look, I’m not trying to be a perv here. But why did they give her such a large camel toe? Am I the only one noticing this obvious she-bulge?
Prime booty lighting from the base
The statue looks great except for the face it’s so mannequin like it almost gives me the creeps.
Looks alright, far too expensive for me though
cries I want but can't afford it right now.
An expectedly sneeze-inducing price, but the figurine looks epic - fittingly for the heroine of the other, less obvious but not a bit less crucial battle waged to hold Hyrule back on the brink for a whole century.
@BAN
Oh, thanks !
I cant unsee that now.
If they make a solid Rosalina, I will unload some collectibles to make way for it.
I've never understood the attraction for stuff like this...
@fpacker2 What does that even mean?
Hi! I kind of messed up with her face and hair color a little and tried to make her look more royal and less sexualized. Hopefully they see this at F4F and try do something about the figure they’ll release for the sequel.
That figure should be 20€ max. Reminds me a bit of that bravely default collectors edition figure. That one too had a super off face and wasn't worth the asking price.
@Jfarriol
Doubt it when they show these kind of pics, the preproduction stage is long past.
What you see is what you get. These wont be retooled anymore.
Having said that, your version looks a lot better.
The soul less, thousand yard stare is gone.
The face seems somewhat off, but I kinda feel like the pose is worse, it's boring and it's saying exactly nothing about Zelda.
@Alztru Not sure I can solve that mystery for you, but as someone who has a small, but growing collection, and started only recently, I for one appreciate three aspects about this kind of 'stuff' (in oder of priority/appeal)
1st, the transition from 2D art to 3D sculpt.
It all started with Sideshow's version of J. Scott Campbell's "Mary Jane" from Spider-Man, which is still my favourite piece. I have every piece of the collection together in a display cabinet, partnered with the signed, original art pieces by JSC and it makes for a really sweet display piece.
For example, Sideshow's Mary Jane:
https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/marvel-mary-jane-sideshow-collectibles-200161
(//I'n not even a huge comic book fan, certainly not of Superheroues, but I do live the Spidey movies, shows and of course, games ^^//)
2nd, sculpts that capture the essence of a favourite character.
That's a no-brainer I guess, but I'm still gonna offer two examples:
Sideshows Iron Giant (one of my favourite movies an characters)
https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/the-iron-giant-the-iron-giant-sideshow-collectibles-400287?var=4002871
and Cyborg Ninja/Frank Jaeger (my favourite character from one of my all-time favourite games, Metal Gear Solid 1) in a brilliantly detailed sculpt by Gecco
https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/metal-gear-solid-cyborg-ninja-gecco-co-903970
Third and last, interesting visuel designs of ... well, pop-cultures characters I really love. Not necessarily acurate takes, but beautiful and unique ones, for instance:
Goodsmiles (mostly known for Figma's) take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I'm still a huge fan of, designed by James Jean (which you might or might not be familiar with) and sculpted by Keiji Iwakura, who's work in general I've come to love ..

and the Shredder, because he just takes the cake for me:
https://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/6022/Shredder.html
Again, I like to display all of these together of course and when possible partnered with a key piece of art. And well, other than that ... I just really enjoy looking at them and my composition, sometimes I rearrange them, change the lighting, y'know, but mostly it's something nice to look at. Like a beautifully framed Mondo poster of some movie I love ... Hopefully that offered some insight for you!
The eyes and eyebrows are all wrong, and that's just for starters.
@Alztru Yeah this kind of thing definitely isn't for everyone. When I was younger I was collecting some of these collectors edition figures, but I got over it and realized how I don't really have anywhere that I would want to put this stuff anymore and how it sort of lacks sophistication.
@fpacker2 Sad but true.
@jswhitfield8 It’s true to an extent, but I think it’s even more severe here. It almost looks like she’s wearing an athletic cup on this thing. But maybe it’s just the lighting? But yeah, both figs have dumps like a truck, truck, truck, thighs like what, what, what.
I don't know about "stunning." For comparison, I pulled out my Fire Emblem Amiibo. These Zelda figures have only slightly more detail despite being considerably larger and costing about six times as much (for the basic model). I'm not really into Zelda anyway, but at that price, I think they could have done better.
@Jfarriol Over sexualized? Theres nothing about this statue that is even sexualized at all. Who even cares if they did make one? You SJWs need to leave.
hmm something with zelda's face that doesn't look right, l don't know what it is but her face doesn't look so pretty.
@Jfarriol ‘Less sexualised’?
What on earth are you babbling about?
@BAN
Because it’s not truly Zelda, it’s Link in disguise. 😁
@Jfarriol
Dave Mustaine, is that you?? Haha
Joking aside, I prefer your rendition with the smaller eyes, the original feels off. Although I didn’t find anything sexual about the original either.
PS
I miss my long hair, balding suuuuuucks!!! 😭
Hi guys! Sorry this had to go this way. (Please read this) By sexualized I meant the following: our social background may obviously be different on each of us, but in my case, girls only start to wear make up when they become of a certain age, which tends to be the same age they start to hang out with other people, specially guys. BOTW Zelda might be the same age as TP Zelda, but her face structre (big rounded eyes, round face, chubby cheeks and tiny chin) looks ridiculously childish, it almost looks like a toddler to me. If you take that and draw a pair or pretty thick arched eyebrows and a massive winged eyeliner, you’re mixing two things, meaning, hipothetically, that you are “sexualizing” a face by making it more attractive (in the wrong way). Because make up is obviously meant to make a face look better - more appealing.
Take a look at the Amiibo version of this Zelda, it looks as if she had just washed her face (and a few years younger).
I hope we can all meet again in other circumstances and maybe not thanks to a misunderstanding.
Cheers
@JustBeKrillin @fpacker2 @HappyMaskedGuy @Kang81
Hi Kang81!
I’ve been stopped by strangers on the street just so they could tell me how much i remind them of him. First time though on the internet haha
I’m sorry to hear about you hair, but hey, if you can’t wear a full head of hair, try growing a beard instead, not long, but rather square and thick.
Take care!
@GrandScribe chicken chaser
Why does she have the sheikah slate? This is the worst version of Zelda to date. She doesn't care about Link and now took her sheikah slate? Bro, the slate didn't work with her because she wasn't chosen and now she took it? Smh
Beautiful, but to expensive.
