Re: Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash Fails to Clean Up in Japanese Charts

@ReshaSong The wheel thing is something people freaked out about for no reason. To move on to the next stage within a world (that you haven't beaten yet) you spin a wheel. It normally has 3 one spaces, a one 2 space, and one 3 space. What ever number space you land on is how many places you move forward on the map, thus selecting which stage you move to next. How many spins you get depends on which of the 3 UFO's you hit at the end of the stage you played before. The tiles can be replaced with what ever number you want easy by paying like...I think its like 170 coins (ingame coins...I have well over 20k and I've never ran out even with using the chibi-capsule machine and power up stuff). So if you wanna move one space forward and don't wanna risk it, you just buy the tiles and replace them with the number of spaces you wanna move. When you beat a world, the wheel goes away for that world. You can move around when ever you want. People freaked out about it, but even from the very start you can literally rig the wheel to do exactly what you want. I've bought dozens of those back up items (they cost coins) and DOZENS of chibi-capsules and I've never run out of coins. In fact, my coin count is going up. So using the coins to replace tiles...not a big deal.

Well they did say it would possibly be the last attempt at making into the main stream market. It didn't say it would be the last Chibi-Robo ever. Maybe there will be a smaller release on the eshop like photo-finder in the future. Top 10 is not a bad thing honestly.

I really hope they don't ditch Chibi for good. The game is really good, and they were sooo close to making a game that could become main stream. If they ditched the wheel and product placement stuff it would have been just what the masses would have loved. And honestly, I don't mind ether. I'm still enjoying the mess out of that game.

Re: Review: Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash (3DS)

Picked this one up yesterday and have been playing it for a bit now. My impressions: The roulette wheel is annoying for level selects but it isn't bad since you can easily just replace the wheel tiles, and the product placement is weird but isn't bad ether as I like learning trivia about stuff (and as you turn them in you get trivia about the item.) All in all, I can see why some people would be turned off by this, but I'm still enjoying it very much. I feel that a 6 out of 10 was a bit harsh, I'm thinking more of a 7, to 7.5 range. It isn't a bad game, and it's actually pretty fun. And the Amiibo is ADORABLE.

Dude that Falco cosplay is amazingly detailed. Looks like everyone had fun =) !

Edit: DUDE look at the 11th picture. The guy playing the Wii U in the background's reaction is PRICELESS. It's ether a Oh dude what that mess! Or a WOOOOOOOOOOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH expression. I honestly can't tell but it's golden.

Re: Pokémon Rumble World Is Getting A Physical Release In Japan

Naoiko

I think I bought around 1500 diamonds total...but I honestly can't see myself buying more. Even if it came out as a full physical release in the west I see myself skipping it. Sure it is fun, but the story mode is suppppppppper short. I still find myself using the lucky balloon every day, but that's about it.

Re: Review: Toys vs. Monsters (3DS eShop)

Naoiko

It's not plants vs. zombies. I got the game before the review came out...and man I wish I had waited. The difficulty curve is super steep, and it just isn't very fun. Just about zero story, zero explanation (which I really didn't need seeing as it wasn't my first type of this game), and just zero production. It functions, so there is that at least...but MAN it's not fun.

Re: Analysts Wonder If Super Mario Can Save Nintendo

Naoiko

No disrespect meant, but analyst aren't exactly who I would turn to for advice about games, or what makes games profitable. Sure Nintendo has made some mistakes over the years, but just shoving them solely on mobile would be very bad. Besides, Nintendo is a toy company. It isn't zynga or popcap, or heck even Sony. They have their own way of doing things, and simply following the trend to a T isn't one of them. They are the trend makers, not the trend takers. drops mic (is aware that last part was dumb.)

Re: Guide: How to Unlock Plague Knight in Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows the Easy Way

I got to the next to last stage, and kept dying. This is saying that it took me over an hour to beat the stage before that. Sadly, my reaction timing is not as good as it used to be when I was a teenager, so this 'cheat' code is a great thing in my opinion. Will I use it? Probably not. Sure that level leaves me yelling and screaming like a sailor but I'm still going to try and beat the main game to get at the new stuff the old fashion way.

Re: Review: Anne's Doll Studio: Princess Collection (DSiWare)

Because there are a bunch of people out there who 'don't have time' for the internet and literally just buy their kid anything without checking into it first. I once had an older gentleman buy his 6 year old grandson Assassins Creed 2 even when I mentioned it was M for mature and had a sex scene implied in the opening just because 'he didn't care about video games'. People can be REALLY stubbornly stupid.
