Pretty clear why the review was written as it was. I have zero problem with the approach, factors considered, and recommendation if those factors could be set aside by those interested in the collection. There’s not a whiff of deceit in this review - quite the contrary. I for one appreciate the perspective. The review is of a specific product at a specific point in time, designed to help people decide if they want to lay out for that product.
Kind of silly to complain about the criteria when everything is spelled out as clearly as can be, including the quality of the games themselves.
Good list. I have a lot of these on other platforms, but they’d be great on Switch. And I would indeed buy WW and TP yet again - probably push me to buy an OLED model.
Gawd, what a dope. I’m reading the SMG2 entry and thinking, “Second favorite Italian plumber? Who... oh, yeah.”
I have both, and am currently using the Deck far more. It’ll probably even out, unless I’m able to handle emulation setup and importing games. Then all our other consoles may become redundant.
I got a dock as well, and love being able to play my Steam library on any TV without moving the desktop. I’m a convert.
I love this, and am on board with Ryu and CharlieGirl. Just enjoy it, no nonsense. I hope Anya has a good ongoing experience and manages to avoid The Gamers TM (credit JSSterling).
Great console. We still use ours all the time. And we can play Minish Cap on the TV. It appears Nintendo is unfortunately sticking with their terrible plan for retro games. Huge step backward.
@Teksetter You and me both. And if they integrated a paddle into the proceedings, I’d be all over this mess. Breakout, Tempest, and Warlords are paddle-necessary.
Broke down and ordered me a Steam Deck, so that geyser is about to start spewing. Playing Bowser’s Fury currently. I’m consistently years behind the gaming zeitgeist as far as titles go.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Viewtiful Joe
Yellow Europe. And, as always, my pick is the loser. Vote-wise, I mean.
Re: Poll: Which Of Rare's Classic N64 Games Would You Like To See On Switch Online?
DK64 with tightened controls would make me happy. I love the game (I have the collector/loot bug), but the movement is pretty floaty.
Re: Best Spin-Off And Crossover Games On Switch
I dig these lists. And Captain Toad rules.

Re: Trek To Yomi, The Monochrome Love Letter To Samurai Films, Out On Switch Next Week
@Teksetter “100% Scientifically Accurate Gameplay!”
I’m nearly sold.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel: Panic Bomber (Virtual Boy)
I always come in for the loser.
Re: Back Page: Mario: 'The Show About Nothing' - We Dig Up A Doomed Mario Sitcom Pilot
How about Magnum, P.I.? Tailor made, I think.
Magnum: Mario
Higgins: Toad
T. C.: Bowser
Rick: Luigi
Re: Poll: Do You Want Weapon Degradation To Return In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
Longer lasting for some, rarer weapons, and less rain in the back third of the game.
Re: Cult Of The Lamb Teases New Content, Dungeons, And Secrets In "Major" Free Update
Have it, glad I haven’t started yet.
Re: Random: Fan's Recreation Of Radiohead Album Using Mario 64 Music Is Utterly Brilliant
Mmmmm, Boards of Canada.
Re: Random: Fan's Recreation Of Radiohead Album Using Mario 64 Music Is Utterly Brilliant
Okay, this and the 8-bit version of Dark Side of the Moon has me wanting to start a collection. That’s trouble, because I have the bug.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
I nearly always vote for Japan, and it always gets clobbered. The Western covers are too boring for my taste.
Re: Quiz: Which Of These Games Is On Switch?
19. Made some dumb mistakes.
I wanna play Skyward Sword again. Don’t care what you say, I like it.
Re: Random: YouTuber Speedruns Touching Grass (In Every Mario Game)
This is why the Internet exists.
Re: Random: Pixel Artist Reimagines Zelda II For Game Boy Advance
I’d buy this as well, looks great. I’m a Zelda honk, but never played II.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Metroid Prime Hunters
Japan. The other is a standard, bland cover affair. Might as well have Samus walking toward the camera with an explosion in the background.
Re: Feature: The 15 Best Zelda Bosses, Ranked
I always thought Goht was the most fun to fight.
Tentalus reminds me of Whoopi Goldberg.
Re: Limited Run Details Blossom Tale II's Deluxe Physical Edition, Pre-Orders Open Next Week
Dug the Sleeping King, have this one queued up. I’m a sucker for this stuff.
Re: Random: You Should Definitely Propose To Your Partner With This Gigantic Pikachu Ring
Good thing I’m already married.
Re: Back Page: Why Don't Nintendo Games Get Gritty TV Shows? Here Are Some Pitches
@Deemo37 There don’t seem to be that many. Edit: well...
Anyways, that Luigi’s Mansion shot is going in my desktop background rotation.
Re: Back Page: Why Don't Nintendo Games Get Gritty TV Shows? Here Are Some Pitches
@blindsquarel I imagine there are at least four pornos as well. Blech.
Re: Back Page: Why Don't Nintendo Games Get Gritty TV Shows? Here Are Some Pitches
Love it.
Yoshi? The potential horror would engender an existential crisis. Well, in me at least.
Re: Cult Of The Lamb To Receive Free "Major Content Update" In 2023
Coolio. Just bought it today. Plenty to play first.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2023
@TheUnrestCure Love it. Thanks.
Regret not - good buy on the Wii U nonetheless. The interface for TP and WW is excellent on that system.

Never mind the Pollocks...
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Alternative Game Awards 2022
I dig the lists, Kate. They’re fun. Keep it up.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Alternative Game Awards 2022
I suspect Best Skyrim Game is a fix.
Re: Sail Forth Brings Wind Waker-Style Sailing And Pirate Mysteries To Switch Today
Yeah, I’m gonna have to grab this one.
I’ll never play them all.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)
They’re gonna need a bigger boat.
Probably Bayonetta Origins.
Re: Back Page: How Many Eyes Does Sonic Really Have?
@somnambulance I didn’t see the comment, but all good regardless. I was just messing. Have a good evening/morning where you is at and take it easy.
Re: Back Page: How Many Eyes Does Sonic Really Have?
“Removed - unconstructive” on this thread? The mind boggles.
Re: Back Page: How Many Eyes Does Sonic Really Have?
One eye fer sure. One can see it with one's own two eyes.
Re: Best Cozy Games On Switch
@TruthisRare I gotta figure that out myself. I haven’t modded any consoles to make importable files yet.
@antisumo That sounds like something I’d enjoy.

Gatekeepers? Really?

Oh, and Super Mario World and SM Galaxy.
Re: No Gravity Games Is Handing Out 12 Free Switch Games This Month (North America)
I suspect it’d like getting a bunch of RCMADIAX games. Or an Ashlee Simpson album. Or a Kevin Costner movie.
“My boat...”
Re: Mini Review: Super Kiwi 64 - An N64-Style Platformer Ripe With Tricksy Energy
Good review. I tend to prefer the mini-review format. Just the main points and let me get on with it.
Got the game as well, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. I have a soft spot for the style.
Re: Paper Mario-Inspired RPG 'Flynt Buckler Wakes The Sleepy Castle' Smashes Funding Goal
I like it, though I get people’s hesitancy and desire for new ideas.
At least it doesn’t conjure the word “souls.” Blech already.
Re: Random: YouTuber Recreates Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Cutscenes With Full Voice Acting
If Jon did that voice, I'd buy it.
Re: Nintendo Launches Huge Cyber Deals Sale Starting Today, Up To 50% Off Switch eShop Games (North America)
Looking at Tails of Iron at ten bucks. Might give it a go, even though I stink at hard games. I dig the art style.
Re: Soapbox: After 10 Years I Finally Got A Wii U, Here’s What I Thought
Great console. We still use ours all the time. And we can play Minish Cap on the TV. It appears Nintendo is unfortunately sticking with their terrible plan for retro games. Huge step backward.
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto, Creator Of Super Mario And Zelda At Nintendo, Turns 70
@Byunear It gets younger every year.
Re: Random: This Guy Is On A Mission To See All The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Artwork In Real Life
Excellent. I'd love to do this.

Re: Poll: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Almost Here, So Have You Completed BOTW Yet?
Played it three times, 180+ hours each. Will never 100% it, too many korok seeds, too tedious.
Re: Talking Point: What's The Best Use Of Licensed Music In A Switch Game?
Insane in the Membrane in Saints Row IV.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
NA/Europe is trying to be dynamic without succeeding. Looks like toys on a kids desk. Japan is incongruous enough to appeal to me.
Re: Feature: The Spookiest Levels In Non-Spooky Games
I love this stuff. Creepy Castle is one of my fave silly-scare levels. The music is great.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 29th)
Broke down and ordered me a Steam Deck, so that geyser is about to start spewing. Playing Bowser’s Fury currently. I’m consistently years behind the gaming zeitgeist as far as titles go.
