I would actually prefer they keep weapons breakable. I would instead like to see more focus on scrambling for materials and weapons mid fight. And bonuses for breaking through a whole weapon, like getting materials to attach to other weapons for boosts or upgrades or crafting to encourage frequent use of weapons in the wild. Maybe if your spiked boko club breaks it drops some animal bone material, and if you approach it on the ground you can immediately attach the bones to your pot lid and get a spiked pot lid. Ideally it should be fast and seamless to upgrade on the fly so you don't have to get too attached to your weapons, so you should be able to approach it and have options to immediately apply it to your weapon/shield/bow without needing to pick it up and go through menus.
I would also like more challenges that take away your weapons and gear, like Eventide Island or the Master trials. I think the game is at its best when you get to use your surroundings to the fullest rather than try to build up a huge arsenal of weapons that are so valuable you don't even want to use them on normal enemies.
Talking Pokémon isn’t weird. There’s usually at least one talking Pokémon every movie. (Mewtwo, lugia, zorua, diancie, and if no legendaries want to speak, there’s still meowth.) but the weird thing is that it’s Ash’s Pikachu. So it’s like, the most important Pokémon to represent all the critters that just spout their own names. Super weird. I guess this is an alternate pikachu anyways tho, since this movie clearly doesn’t take place with the ash and crew I grew up with.
Hey, My comment got put up here. I did pay extra for a stand, and now the stand isn’t even on the product page anymore. Super sketchy. I found out about Sfans from you guys, NL, so I’m glad you’re keeping up with it.
Okay but where is my premier ball? I guess luxury balls are a close second. I might be tempted if I can get it shipped to america for a reasonable price
I have no real problems with the eShop. What I want redesigned is the Switch Home screen. Let me organize my games please! Or have themes other than Basic White and Basic Black. Or you know, anything would be an improvement over the garbled mess the home menu is now.
I imagine this is largely in part due to the fact the switch has absolutely no way of organizing content. If this was on wio u, they'd hide the ugly thing in a folder. On the wii? Shove it to a back page. With the switch the only way to move it is to delete it.
Nah. I bought the wii u one with excitement, and then watched as characters where added to the arcade and frequent balancing changes came to the arcade and the wii u one was completely stagnant. I consider it a waste of my money. Even if it's different this time, I'm not spending another 60$ for that chance.
This is my favorite mobile game. If it has a lot of the dlc I might pick it up, but I already have a lot of the dlc packs on android. Also I hope it has the animated cutscenes from the vita version.
As much as I love the idea of being unnoticeable, if I have to be naked and without objects like my phone to be completely invisible, flight becomes the best option. Besides, with the splatfest tee, ninja squid isn't usable, making it hard to really represent team invisibility.
I'd like to add, I know I could ship to a forwarding company, and have them ship to me, but I'm not willing to make that sort of payment on plastic joycon covers. I'd sooner make my own.
Fantastic design. Was made specifically for breath of the wild, so the use is limited to a degree, but it's a fantastic feat. I hope to see a right handed option come up soon as well!
Love the idea. With that battery life, having a battery is pretty pointless though. And with that 200 lumen I'd rather carry my big clunky projector around.
@EdwinJ Gyro / accelerometer is the first stretch goal (1 million Canadian Dollars). If it doesn't get it, it'll be worthless as a nintendo controller for me, but I'll still use it for my ps3 or whenever I go to a friend's house. Also I've been needing a controller for my ios/android stuff. I consider this controller an overall good investment to me.
I love the idea, but I feel like it's reaching too far. I doubt this will have a gyro sensor, is the screen even touch? Could I use it as a touchpad for ps4 games? I got one, because even with limited ability, its still good. I just think the advertisement should be more honest with its capabilities.
FINALLY, I've been waiting for the Edge we lost in the adventure series and Shadow the Hedgehog to come back. My chances of buying this game just went from 10% to 34%. I'm not even joking this villian looks stupid, but I feel like I'm going to love him and this game's plot.
I sure hope the 3DS doesn't get a successor. The switch's design is by far superior. Especially with how it uses bluetooth. When my 3ds's controls wear down or if it turns out to be lacking buttons or needing another joystick, I either have to buy additions, pull the thing apart to replace things, or buy a whole new one. With the switch, I can just buy a new set of overpriced controllers.
The only reason I'd use this is if it were the only way to talk with randos online. Since it's friends only, it'd be easier to set up a discord chat for this. You can set up rooms for teams just fine, and it runs on phones and computers, and probably performs way better than any online nintendo application ever will.
The thumbnail really should have been brock and misty. That was just misleading. Also, without them I now have no reason to watch this movie, so thanks for the tip, I guess.
Bleh. That'll make a purchase a lot less tempting from me. I'll always judge a book by its cover. Presentation of your product is important, and as far as I can't hide it's ugliness in a folder on my switch I don't want it in my menu.
I went ahead and supported the indie-gogo page. Getting the dock, cables, and a playstand for 79 seems like a deal to me, and Nyko's option always looked like it couldn't support the switch well. In a portable setting, my friends would probably knock it over.
Been playing sonic on my iPhone 6s with no issues. I've been using a bluetooth controller so I can't comment on the screen controls, but, I haven't noticed any frame drops.
I will say it stops recognizing my controller after ads, but, I can just pause and unpause with touch controls and it goes fine.
So I've gotten responses about how the motion controls are perfectly precise and how motion controls are optional, but a) motion controls are super imprecise right now. If I turn my hand exactly 45 degrees, it wont guarantee the same result in the game, especially if I make the movement quickly. This could lead to a punch missing the right curvature, and missing a hit. If this misses even 5% of the time, that could cost me the match. Which in a professional setting, could cost me my paycheck. It'd be like playing Brawl professionally if tripping happened 3 times more often. b) non-motion controls have objectively less options with how you can move. Using it gives more precision, but at a cost that gives you less versatility in a match, which can be even worse than terrible motion controls, as your movements are much easier to predict, and counter. Unless they somehow put together a non-motion control method that has all the functionality of motion control scheme, or somehow make joycon with highly precise motion controls, I don't see this game making it anywhere in the esports scene.
Cool little bonus for those who have the adapter, but pretty pointless for almost any game that'll come out for switch. Definitely not going to tempt any purchase from me
so, cool stuff and all, but when am I getting the ability to organize my home menu? Everything moving around on its own on a single, linear list is not very appealing to me at all.
not sure if I care for this to replace Zelda, but I do believe this style has a lot more that could be explored with. I'm hoping the next game drops the glider in favor of a bundle of exploration tools. ie: hookshot/grappling hook, hoverboots, ect. Or better yet, let me turn into other races like Majoras Mask, I wanna be a Rito, Goron, Zora, and use their abilities to explore.
@MintFox And also, I feel the need to point out, the toon link shown from two perspectives in the 4 player smash run screenshot looks the exact same despite being seen from two different angles.
The "Will it have an impact on the switch" poll is missing the answer of "I don't think this things sales will be enough to impact anything" That being said, it's more affordable than a new 3DS XL so I'll try to get one for myself.
I'm not seeing any difference. Also, I've already played mario kart 8 to death. Even got every car part, golden glider included. I've no intention to spend $60 to do it all over again just for a battle mode and some new characters.
Not that a mini switch couldn't be successful, but it would have to have joycon built in to fit the smaller frame. Ironically, this could make it bigger than the current switch without joycon.
I'm still willing to give it a shot. Worst case scenario, there's always A Hat In Time coming out later this year. (Which from their demos, I already found better than Yooka Laylee)
