Pokémon fans rejoice! Bandai has announced its 'Pokemon: Ball Collection Ultra' series, a stunningly beautiful collection of real, physical PokéBalls that are set to be available in January next year.
The collection includes the more common ball types: Poké, Great, Ultra, and Master, as well as a Luxury Ball and a Beast Ball (a new type that was introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon). Each ball contains a hidden compartment inside designed to be filled with mints or candies - they even come with a packet of candy when you buy them. Result!
"But how do I get my hands on these little bundles of joy?" we hear you cry! At the time of writing, the collection is available to pre-order from Amazon Japan and appears to be packaged in a set of ten random balls rather than just the six alone. It seems to be a 'blind-bag' system of sorts with the idea being that you trade with friends for specific models.

Those look wonderful. I actually like the beast balls the best.
I'm 43,never played or been interested in Pokemon so why am I drawn to these Pokeyballs..?
Where's my net ball?
Ugh bandai has taken so much of my money in the past two years....I'm going to have to get these.
Wow these look nice! Must... resist...
Shut up and take... oh, you know.
Ooooh....
I like that BLUE One !
No Premier Ball :/
0/10
Is your review staff short a few personal? You guys are really getting behind and posting a lot of fluff pieces.
I feel like the random distribution model would make more sense if they added more different pokeballs to the pool of available balls.
This odd choice aside, they are quite nice.
I'm fine with blind packs when the chances are good and it's not too expensive. That said, since there's like 6 models and you get a pack of 10, the chances (that you'll find at least one or two that you like) should be pretty good.
Sounds like they're probably on the smaller end too I'd guess (since you get 10 of them), or perhaps it's just priced higher?
Dusk Ball???
but, does it capture Pokemon in Pokemon Go?
I think the standard Pokéball looks best. But then, these all look amazing!
Huh. They look nice.
Add Quick Balls, Dusk Balls, and Timer Balls, and I won't be able to say no!
The nearby wild animals might get annoyed with me if I ever bought one of these.
But do they make the pokeball sound when they hit the ground?
I want them but I don’t think I will buy something like this. Ever
Okay but where is my premier ball? I guess luxury balls are a close second. I might be tempted if I can get it shipped to america for a reasonable price
Brings back memories of when I had a toy Poke ball as a kid. These really look good.
*Poké Ball; mind the gap
Pedantry attended, get back to me when there's a Premier Ball. All the catch rate of a regular Ball, at ten times the cost!
they remind of the silver balls in the phantasm movies.
not a fan of the blind bag system but otherwise this looks amazing
@TJF588 How is it ten times the cost? It's free with 10 balls. (though it would be nice if they would give one for every 10 balls so you don't have to keep going through the menu)
@faint Why do you think this is a "fluff" piece? It clearly appeals to a lot of readers on this site judging from the comments so far.
My daughter, who likes Pokémon and loves blind bags and blind bag opening videos, would lose her mind over something like this.
@Wazeddie22 Because shiny.
@Aozz101x Yup, just throw it at your phone as hard as you can.
I would definitely buy one if they sold them outside Japan.... Cause shipping these is a killer.
They look amazing! At least the pics do, they don't look like the cheap one at a supermarket.
@flapjack-ashley so this couldn't be lumped in with their weekly items for sale list? You prefer these over news and reviews?
@flapjack-ashley the entire article is two paragraphs. It's definitely a puff piece
They’re probably the size of an acorn....
Alright, I must get these..... anyone know a way I can order em in the US? Tag me plz! I'll love you for life and give you my 4th born.... 😆
real question is if they can catch things
I need!!!
@faint
Balls were made for fluffing
I'm here for the fast ball. Favorite pokeball ever!
There are a few balls missing that I would have liked, but I will probably buy a set of these.
Similar sorts of things have been done in the past (I've got a couple myself)... these do look to be a higher quality than most of the others (mainly due to the polished finish)... but I'd have to question how good they'd actually look first hand... promotional images can be a little deceiving.
A bit late... if they sold it last year during the Global Pokemon Go Mania, people will kill each other for it.
@Gridatttack The premier ball is part of the previous set, you can still get them off eBay
@faint Article doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it even says what it is about in the headline, so it should have saved you a click if you weren't interested. But instead, you felt like you needed to get on here and leave a degrading comment on a site that provides you with daily Nintendo content. Some people just will find anything to complain about, and that's really what this boils down to.
@flapjack-ashley they can totally write the article. If you go back and read my complaint you will see it's about the lack of reviews. 10 games released last week and they have barely tackled half of them. Another 8 are releasing this week. Get it?
