I just want more Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy...

I hope the Mystery Locks function like enemy weaknesses in Octopath Traveler and that once they are discovered for a particular enemy (either by attacking with the correct lock skill or by using a skill to reveal a lock) it will remain discovered for that enemy in all future encounters. Otherwise, I think it would be a slog if they are randomized and hidden every time.

Man, the hype I had for this game is dead. I'll need many real gameplay videos before I am convinced to buy this (and I love Digimon, played the Cybersleuth games)

@CharlieGirl Nintendo just said that the Switch will go beyond traditional console lifespans. It makes sense to wind down new content on games to focus on new games. They stopped releasing new content for Splatoon 2 and the Switch didn't die...

Yeah, very hard pass for me. In fact, I regret playing the original. The only thing I liked in this game was her Italian rival.
It's a shame because the rest of the series is so good (my favourite being Unwound Future).

Ah that sucks... I never got to play The Last Story and it looks so good! Prices are pretty crazy on eBay. Oh well.

@Ralizah Yep, same for me. I remember actually getting closer to the TV during the character epilogues because they auto scrolled and I had to read fast and the text was too tiny.

I hope that you are right. I mean, it makes sense. They must have at least two 1st/2nd party games planned for the holiday season. Probably smaller games, but they still need something. And they are going to need to announce them soon to take advantage of marketing.

Wow. That's disappointing. Probably only 3rd party games. I guess there won't be any new 1st party games for the rest of the year at this point...

@Paul1994 It wouldn't really help; all shipping in Canada is bogged down right now. I ordered something on Amazon and it took a month for me to get it. Besides, I can't cancel since it's already shipped. Just gotta be patient I guess.

I'm so glad I got the PS4 version. I had a blast playing. Not a perfect game, but very fun.

The trailer looks amazing, but I did not like the gameplay. So, pass from me. Hope others enjoy it.

I hope you're right and get to enjoy this DLC pack. I'm tapping out though. Too many other games to enjoy (DQ XI right now).

I'm really disappointed with the DLC. I shouldn't have pre-ordered it. This is not what I was expecting when they said new story content. Plus you have to play through these boring gauntlets to unlock the new characters and costumes that you paid for... I'm not even going to waste my time with this final DLC pack. I started out really liking this game, but it got old and repetitive fast. And it's so annoying getting my attacks interrupted every 2 seconds.

See, that's the thing. It may be the future of gaming, but how far into the future? 10, 20 , 30 years? Not anytime soon, and I'm sure it's not on Nintendo's radar. So, when Microsoft makes the premature jump into cloud gaming, Nintendo will be doing its own thing and succeed, because it has always ended up succeeding. I know I'll probably never make the jump to cloud gaming as long as I'm able not to.

@darkswabber Wow, you're optimistic. I would be cool if you ended up being right, but I think the text-based story mode (i.e. Gauntlet) is all that we're getting. When I loaded up the game after the first DLC pack went live, I kept looking for the extra story mode. Boy, was I disappointed.

@Ralizah I completely agree. The story was so basic and simplistic. Like one of those early morning TV shows for 5-year-old children. Oh, there is one overarching mystery/story though. It's pulled out of nowhere in the ending and makes no sense.

@Ralizah I agree with your first, second, and last choices for exactly the reasons you outlined. I especially disliked Mystery Journey too... Plus, the big reveal at the end was just nonsensical.

Hard pass. GameFreak just doesn't do quality games anymore. Splitting up their team to work on two projects doesn't help...

Too little, too late. I returned my copy the day I received it and bought the PS4 version. It was a very fun game.

I received my copy last night. Good thing I saw comparison videos and how this is a major downgrade with heavy performance issues before I opened my copy. I'll be returning it today and I've already ordered the PS4 version.

Yeah, that's also a big factor: so many games that I want haha. Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest XI S, Ni No Kuni Remastered on PS4, Luigi's Mansion 3, and on and on... If I'm not feeling it for a game, than I'll pass and focus on games that are more worth my time.

It's like the more I hear about this game the less I want to play it. I might just skip it and wait for the enhanced versions coming out a year after (a la Ultra Sun and Moon).

Well since I have a PS4 and a Switch I'm going to opt for the remaster on PS4 instead of a straight up port. Kind of like how I'm getting Dragon Quest XI on Switch instead of PS4 since it has more bells and whistles.

I really like the roster so far. I'm still hoping for Iceman though since he's my favourite mutant.
There is nothing from Fantastic Four so I'm thinking maybe a DLC themed around them would be cool (with Silver Surfer and Galactus of course).

I thought the design was ok for a live action movie. I even thought he looked cute. I think it's funny that people complain that he doesn't look realistic enough or that his teeth aren't exactly like a hedgehog's teeth. It's an anthropomorphic hedgehog that talks and runs at super speed, it's not supposed to be realistic

They said that the physical edition would arrive later this year, so I'm going to wait for it.
