Re: Video: Nintendo Minute Takes an Extended Look at The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

@zool I assume you meant Sega and not Sony. Honestly, I'd love it if they did and I wouldn't have to buy a new console of theirs, but alas I don't think we will see that soon.

I don't know if I see buying amiibos as a waste of money. I think people who drink, collect sports memoribilia, and various other hobbies are wasting their money, but everyone has small things that bring them small joys.

@zool Yeah I get that. I've not always been happy with how amiibo are handled, though honestly I'd buy them if they had nothing to do with the games. I just feel like people need to give up if they are that upset with Nintendo. In 2015 they released two genre busting critical darlings that even my friends that hate Nintendo wanted. They won awards even though on those award shows typically only heavy duty shooters win out.

And let's be honest here, the content people are crying about with this game especially are so secondary there is no reason to even care. A frankly looking boring arena mode and some heart refills? Come on people, that's such a small thing. They act like you can't ride Epona or something without Amiibo or something equally as offensive.

Re: Talking Point: Considering amiibo Features and the Reality of 'Physical DLC'

I used to froth at the mouth about amiibo even while I collected it. Most of it was around the hard to find figures like Lucina and Robin, which were nearly impossible to even preorder in the US.

I think they've mostly gotten much better in the US. If someone anyone near my location doesn't get one of these bundles they simply didn't want to. I was able to walk into my local Gamestop and preorder over a month after announcement.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's 2015?

MailOrderNinja

As much flak as commenters here get for being negative the good on the poll is clearly the strong winner.

Overall I was pretty disappointed. Mario Maker, Splatoon and Xenoblade are great, but a disastrous E3 and the Zelda delay really crushed my spirits this year. I also had a personal experience with Nintendo that left me far less a fan and very disappointed in their service. I own a small portion of blame for it, but Nintendo's supervisors overwhelming refusal to work with me was horribly saddening.

Re: Talking Point: 2015 - A Peculiar Year of New, Old and Surprising Nintendo Games

I think we've seen a classic drought year that happens the year before a new console comes out. Star Fox was pushed because it clearly wasn't ready and to fill the gap in the Wii U line up next year. Zelda will release like Twilight Princess on both Wii U and an enhanced version on NX. What would be really surprising and make for a huge success is if they also launched NX with a shiny new Metroid for the more hardcore fans.

@SirRandall I think it entirely depends what you like. You are certainly right that PC get almost everything anymore and with Xbox most of their big games are going Windows and Xbox. I tend to forget PC as mine is woefully underpowered.

However Xbox has plenty of games I enjoy that are at least console exclusive and I can't wait for Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown and ReCore. On PS4 you have so many first party or PS4 only smash hits coming next year or recently announced I'm going to have to get a PS4 I think. Especially with the announcement of Ni No Kuni 2.
