Reminds me of the old deal between Disney and Warner Brothers to have Mickey and Bugs get exactly the same amount of screen time appearing together in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Honestly hardly surprises me given the nature of the Nintendo/SEGA relationship 20+ years ago compared to today, but it’s cool to look back on all that’s come of their collaborations since then.

I can’t remember the source but recall information about Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven eventually being voucher-eligible. Can anyone back this up? Would love to grab one more pair ahead of time if so.

Wow, you may have just inspired me to go back and finally finish the campaign! I left it off years ago probably halfway through due to some burnout with the repetition and higher level tasks really slowing things down. But I love the vibe and the world and would be so happy to see those credits roll!

@Trmn8r $20 purchase on top of the $60 base game for a 15 year old game is pretty silly, you have to admit.

Phew! It’s rare a controller like this catches my eye this much but I’m surely tempted. I also thought I was out of the amiibo game but may have to consider that as well, long as it’s not a $40 ugly piece of plastic. Only thing is I really don’t plan on playing any Resident Evil on Nintendo, the whole game-key card thing killed the vibe for me. Currently planning PS5 for my Requiem fix.

Dang! I love seeing releases like this and would love to see more. Will try my best to support this but the full set is likely out of my budget. The 2-pack seems to have all the hits though so I’d be plenty happy with that.

Hardly surprising after the no-show at the Direct, but definitely not a huge loss for me as I’m still trying to catch up on the series myself. (Man, are those 3DS games expensive to get ahold of!)

I had the pleasure of attending an early preview for the park as a local with some good connections and yeah, they are a sight to behold in-person. Both the interior and the exterior are quite stunning with lots of great surprises for fans. Definitely wasn’t expecting a merchandise store to be one of the most memorable stops of the day!

This definitely seems to be amongst the more positive announcements of the day. I think I appreciate the approach of only making it a paid upgrade if there is added content, but still eager to see just how much the NS2 Edition upgrades will cost per game.

@rockodoodle I hear ya. Will def get some FOMO on the online aspects of Mario Kart, but on the other hand my backlog should keep me plenty busy.

Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life are day one for me! Metroid Prime 4 too, of course, but I would like to play a remastered/upscaled 2 and 3 first if possible…

Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven were such pleasant surprises. All you really need for a solid Direct are a few great ones like that, IMO. Those and the Metroid gameplay had my attention the most even if those release dates all feel quite a ways away.

Quite the nostalgic trip down memory lane for me — the og LEGO games were my go-to on Wii growing up, Battlefront and Force Unleashed dominated my gaming in high school, and I made it through both Jedi games (plus Skywalker Saga) while I was a college student.

Eager to finish out the Cal Kestis trilogy whenever that happens, and I do really enjoy keeping up on the LEGO releases as a great co-op option with family and friends. Star Wars games stand firm among my all-time favorites!

Great to see, a bit surprised at some of these coming so late in the game. Would LOVE that Wii U version of Duck Hunt with the motion controls next!

This one can be great fun, but from personal experience the brutal difficulty spikes and some cheap deaths make it quite a beast to see through to the end. My buddy and I made it by the skin of our teeth in a recent playthrough over on YouTube…

Great timing, I just booted this one up on Delta! So many top-tier Star Wars tie-ins from the early 00s but this one is a stand-out for sure

I’m curious as to whether the DLC cases from Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice can be played without beating their respective games first. Never got around to nabbing those before the eShop closure!

@Not_Soos Dude I fully hear you. As someone who just went through the entire all-in-one package for the first time over the course of this year, I would honestly treat CoM like one of the cutscene movies they did for the DS games. Pull up a YouTube comp and don’t bother riding it out with that slog of a combat system. It’s easily the worst one gameplay-wise. KH2 is def a massive improvement on the first and feels so much better to control, BBS and DDD are what the inbetween spin-offs SHOULD be and are worth your time, and the rest still merit a viewing as their weird Frankensteined movie edits for the added lore.

Anyways back to the amiibo this’ll be my first to pick up since Bayo! I dropped off of the things long ago now but I have to make an exception for my boy

I’d just really like an accessible way to play the prequels. Having the originals on iOS is great, but after the 3DS eShop closure, there’s just no good official way to play any of those without forking over a small fortune for used carts without the box…

I missed out on the Spirit of Justice DLC before the eShop closure, might have to pick this up just for the extra case if I can wait for a good sale

Strange timing for me, I just happened to have started a Seasons playthrough on my 3DS with intent to get through both games. Might pick things up in Ages on Switch now tho with the password system!

Would love to see some older Sonic that’s not the Genesis games ported over for once! I know the 3D games tend to be controversial, but they’d make a nifty compilation title to have on Switch.

Just insane to me how pared down this game is in comparison to the 15-year-old Wii Sports Resort. Give us a proper sequel to THAT and I’m on board

Between VAs like ProZD and Egoraptor here and Matt Mercer in Zelda, it is just so awesome to see the influencers and talent I watched growing up getting to collaborate with Nintendo like this! They’re all big inspirations to me and it’s amazing to see how far they’ve come
