I just had a thought, do you think Nintendo released the Mini Famicom with those scaled down controllers to get people used to the size of the JoyCons in advance of the Switch's release?

The hype train has officially left the station, and i'm sitting in first class sipping on champagne. Only 9 days to go! And yes, i'm still salty that Europe is getting it 5 days later.

I was also surprised by the Metroid theme in the Miitomo update as well, including a whole room style.. I refuse to get my hopes up that there is a Metroid Switch announcement coming soon though!

Water/Fairy?! I knew my faith in Popplio wasn't misguided! All of the starter's final evolutions look great, Decidueye's is probably the best though, and Grass/Ghost? Interesting typing! The return of the old trainers is a welcome treat, I hope we get them from all the past games!

As I posted in another article, all I will need is a hardware reveal, software reveal, name reveal and a release date. Not asking for much!

My predictions are:

Nostalgia invoking opening sequence.

Hardware reveal.

Software reveal.

Name reveal and release date announcement.

Well that's what i'm hoping for, I'm not asking for too much am I?!

I'm surprised there is quite a lot of negativity in the comments, I thought the demo was great! It feels like a great evolution of what Pokemon should be, the dynamic camera, the updated character models, the fantastic music! The region looks great (and from the video at the end of the first part, very diverse as well), it seems to be well written so far (the mysterious old man cracked me up when he introduced himself) and I think Team Skull has the potential to be one of the best 'evil' teams in the series. I don't care about the lack of 3D (no more 5fps when its active!) and Greninja is one of my favourite Pokemon so having a totally awesome version to carry over to the main game is great. I will check back on the other days to see what the special items are and i'm hoping for maybe another Pokemon to transfer, a special Z crystal, a boss fight and something else! The first guy outside the Pokemon Centre gives you 10 Pretty Wings today if anyone is wondering.

I'm telling you, at this rate they will have a Direct to announce it and finish it off with "the Nintendo NX will be available..after this presentation". I wouldn't put it past them at this point!

I bought the Kirby & Qbby tshirt because I had nearly 5000 Platinum points and nothing to spend them on. I've got 425 that will expire at the end of November so hopefully we will get some more decent rewards soon instead of stuff that I already own!

@123akis If they do (and i'm thinking 'Accomplishments' to keep them distinct from the competitors) then the smart thing would be to make them unlock platinum or gold points to use on My Nintendo, make that service worth something!

I have sunk over 30 hours into the Xbox One version of this and I must admit, it was waaaaaaay more fun than I ever expected it to be. As it says in the review Scrabble meets turn-based RPG is the best way to describe it. Something which I don't think is mentioned though is that the music is really good! Well, the remastered soundtrack is, never really gave the original one a chance. For the price I'd say it's well worth it!

Picked it up because I love Samus, I love the Metroid series and I have more points than i know what to do with. Seriously, when are they going to add more downloadable games to the list? There hasn't been anything in ages.

Three?! How on Earth am I going to pick three? I could've easily picked at least ten from this list, however Secret of Mana has a really special place in my heart and will always be number one.

I love that they've went full meta and have a pair of googly eyes as enemies that attach to inanimate objects and then use them to try and attack you. I see what you did there Playtonic!

So there's a possibility of Alolan forms for Cubone and Persian as well then? A fire-type Cubone would be pretty cool! I do hope its not just Kanto Pokémon that get new forms though. Also, I really want Team Skull just to be full on Pokémon pirates!

OK, question time: If I get Virtue's Last Reward am I going to be thoroughly confused because I haven't played the first game in the series? I've been wanting to play them for a while but I've had a hard time tracking down a copy of 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors at a decent price.

So for the Pokémon game, I have a crazy idea but it probably won't happen. It would be cool if they made and HD 'compilation' type game that wove the 3D regions (Hoenn, Kalos and Alola) into one narrative, and followed your trainer taking on the leagues/rite of passage from each. Part of me thinks that Kalos might be a part of Sun and Moon anyway (why else would Zygarde be there?) but hey, it's just a wacky idea that I had.

I'd totally recommend Letter Quest Remastered, i've sunk over 30 hours into the Xbox One version which I picked up for a couple of quid and was only expecting to get a few hours play out of it. Best way to describe it would be a turn based RPG crossed with Scrabble, with a pretty awesome soundtrack to boot!

I'm not sure, while it is one of my all time favourite games I would worry that a remake would lose the soul and spirit of the original (exactly how i'm feeling about the FF7 remake at the moment). I don't really think a film would work either because then you would have to pick one of the endings as canon. I dunno, I still have the DS version and it's good enough for me!

Whomp's Fortress is one of my all time favourite videogame levels, that version looks spectacular!

I always always always pick the water starter without fail and this time will be no different! Although I have to admit Rowlet would be a worthy alternative. I also for some reason have a sneaky feeling Popplio will become a Water/Fairy dual type in further evolutions, but I don't know why!
