@CB85 Honestly, I would be kind of pissed if they had to delay BotW just to please the Dragon(stub)born fanboys. If this was a new game, ok why not. But this is a remake of a +5 year old game.
In the early days of the Wii U and the 3DS, 3rd had not to fear the dominance of 1st party games that much, but I don't remember many companies making use of that window effectively. Putting Zelda on hold just to make room for 3rd parties should not be a necessity and is not a guarantee of success either.
I still don't have any decent plant or elektric type, I'm so weak when facing the many water types. At least they buffed Electrode and Magnemite, but I still can't many good grass types in gyms.
I was hoping for Alolan forms first. They need to make some subtle advertisement for the main series, it would be a shame not to. And this would introduce dark types and allow the devs to test how the game and the community reacts to a small number of new Pokémon, before the bigger addition of gen 2.
But ok, let's go for Gen 2. I hope this means shineys and genders. Even if there is no breeding, we will need genders at some point anyway.
So... is the entirety of NL's staff on vacation? Surprised they haven't reacted yet.
Glad I took a look at the comments, though. I'll have a look at the game itself now. Ironically, if it had not been for the arguments here, I think I would not have paid much attention to the game. So many other games to finish
The only reason why the difference is so big is because the two were shown together. Also, on the left, the player reaches 1050 km/h, while on the right, he misses one more boost pad and never exceeds 970. That's why the difference is so big.
That's all behind us though. Or at least if people can stop whining for better resolution and more Michaelbayism, in which case we might step back to 15 fps again
Cartridges have ALWAYS COME IN SEVERAL SIZES. Seriously people, did you discover gaming 2 weeks ago? They have always made cards with different sizes. 16, 32, probably 64 GB, it does not matter.
Also, remember. Most Wii U games were less than 16 GB in size.
They are like professional whiners. Most of their comment is Youtube comment section-level and it's terrifying to think some people might actually use their point of view for advice.
You've stopped playing GO over 10.000 years ago? You stopped playing because Niantic gave you cancer and raped your pet hamster? Ok, we've got it. Now you can stop whining in every single GO-related article.
As for safety. We just need to take more driving license away. And add another idiot-tax for whoever has to retake driving lessons because of using a phone while driving. People will start to understand some day.
It took me this long and the release of this Go update to finally notice that there are no Dark type at all in Gen 1. Metals and Fairies had been added through Magnemite and Cleff', among others, but I had never realized there were no dark type (Alolan forms not included). My Pokéknowledge seams to be more outdated that I thought :x
I am very sorry, please do not take this personally, but I need to say it. The level of ignorance in this comment section is cringe-worthy.
@SilentHunter382 (#16) Did I miss read? Playing online never required everyone to play at the same framerate or resolution. That doesn't make any sense.
@khaosklub (#45) "Higher framerates demand better animations, which cost more money, takes more time" Framerate does not influence the complexity of the animation in 3D games and has a very limited influence on the man-hour budget over all. If you really want Gamecube visuals, maybe you should... you know... stick with the actual GC. It's a great system.
@Braok (#59) 1) I haven't seen any TV manufacturer supporting DP at the moment, sadly. 2) Why waste money on Gsync when you can use Freesync... for free? 3) 3rd Parties won't bother with anything higher than 60 fps. Games shared with the PS4/XB1 might even have a locked 60, if not 30. Just like it happens with PC ports. 4) Pushing 120/144 when so many games and movies and released at 24~48 fps might not be wise. The mass market won't give a duck about 120 fps. The average user isn't ready.
@-SD- (#10) "I'd rather developers focus on delivering fun, interesting games that are actually complete and don't require an 18GB day-one patch." THANK YOU!
There's a surprising amount of details in gameplay for something this old, especially considering it is a breakout type of game. The SFX are pure torture, but I found the game interesting. I had never heard of it before.
@chansey It is not as much about free time as it is about location. I live in a remote area, if I go to a big city just one day per month, I make more progress in that day than I do in the rest of the month. Of course, this alone could use a fix, the fact you cannot play at all outside of cities is ridiculous.
But still, you should make use of every single travel you make, even going to/from work. Sure, if you're driving, your options are limited. Just make sure to always have eggs hatching and the right buddy (the one which evolution you don't own yet, for example).
If you use every Pokéstop you come across and capture a few Pokémon from time to time, you will catch up eventually. You don't need a +1000 CP to make a difference. Especially if from time to time, you find a gym that has recently been claimed and isn't well defended yet, or if you have other players of your team nearby.
You kids are being way too negative. It's been launched right at the beginning of the transition to the next gen. Of course it lacks a lot of stuff. Just give it time.
So about the same size as the first Bravely Second, but still smaller than Xenoblade. And about 1.77x the size of Omega/Alpha.
It's not THAT big, but it still ends up very high in the list of the most massive 3DS games. I wonder what changed so abruptly since gen 6. Maybe some of the new Pokémon are just really fat
@ThomasBW84 Since you're talking about that, it would be nice if we had the option of sorting the poll results from high to low on our end. Would be very convenient for polls with many possible answers.
I don't know if there is a place for suggestion in the forum or something. Can this be considered for a future update? Thanks
Well, to be honest, I never payed much attention to the ST while playing this game. I was too busy killing myself to death on every walls and in every pits I could find
Cool story bro. It's 2016, and you discovered that hardware fails.
Don't complain about the lack of "cloud" (yay buzzwords!) back up. You did not bother making back ups at home, if there had been cloud back ups, you probably would not have made them either.
Actually, I would not mind a new Gen 1 remake on iDroid.
OceanBlue and SurgeYellow? Maybe?
I miss the relative simplicity of Gen 1 and even the first remakes are getting a bit old now, especially for the lack of WiFi/online services support and the fact that the newest system capable of running GBA games is now 10 years old! Sell the first one for 20~40¤ and the second one as a cheaper DLC if you want both, and it should do fine. It could even have a 3DS/NX version.
@teamshortcut Pokémon Go update is now available in France, fyi.
Edit: Not sure why everyone was talking about Pikachu moving to your shoulder after a certain distance. I thought it would be a thing specific to Pikachu, but it seems to be the normal thing for any small Pokémon. My Eevee went on my shoulder immediately. Well, it's cute, at least...
I could not decide what to think of Munster Reboot while I was playing it. It ranged from very good to very bad, depending on the level. And then at the final boss, I realized I could not keep playing the game without loosing all progress. At that point, the game switched from "meh..." to "Piece of S*** of the Year" in my mind.
I think I heard about a patch available for other platforms, but they never bothered delivering it for Wii U.
With so many games coming to the 3DS, I'm starting to think the NX will be a home console and will coexist with the 3DS for some time. Portable NX to come in 2018 at best.
At least this is what this Direct makes it look like.
It was stated several times that a 3D Pikmin game on 3DS would not work, notably because of resolution. And they don't want to dev' any new game on Wii U, so this makes sense.

Yes, it seems the game runs reasonably well on the original hardware. But glad to see they put the newer versions of the console to good use.
