Re: EA Has More Planned For The Switch, But Is Still Conscious Of First-Party Dominance

In other words, this is PR because they realize just how stupid they look not putting any games on what is now the second highest selling current console on the market since Switch surpassed the Xbox One worldwide.

I just don't understand why they don't at least kick over The Sims or games like Peggle or Plants vs Zombies on the Switch. Those would sell really well with good part of Nintendo's audience.

Re: Expect Game Announcements "Throughout The Year", Says Nintendo

There definitely needs to be a Direct in January or February each year. Even if the announced games aren't scheduled to come out until December, it's good to let fans know they are coming. The longer the year looks slim like it does now, the longer fans get antsy and less excited. You have to give fans something to look forward to, even if it's up to 11 months away.

Re: Feature: 2010-2019 - Nintendo's Decade In Review

Great article and look back guys. I still remember just being stone cold stunned at the new of Mr. Iwata's passing in 2015 - and so close on the heels of that very disappointing E3 that year. Such a wide range of emotions in such a short amount of time.

I feel Reggie's surprise retirement announcement was so out of the blue that it, too, felt like an unexpected loss and a period of mourning followed it as well.

As Nintendo fans (especially those in North America who was under Reggie's leadership), it was a decade of two losses that provided significant change.

It is still sad to me that Mr. Iwata never physically saw the success that the Switch is enjoying.

I love this franchise, and I think this game looks pretty sharp overall. Its nice to have name brand licensed equiptment as well. But it is largely just an upgraded version of the mobile game, so there are some features that didn't carry over from the 2017 Switch game, sadly. The First-Person viewpoint is also missing that is in the mobile games, so hopefully that can get patched in at some point.

But at the end of the day, its still a good game for fans of the series like me. New equiptment and new livestock will keep me coming back.

@Xupgeeks Gavin did not review the original game. Different reviewers have different opinions.

Re: Review: Astral Chain - Platinum's Best Game Ever? You'd Better Believe It

@Mr_Muscle Its not that you are going against the hype train, its that you are questioning a reviewer's motives without having played the game yourself personally that is being frowned upon. Its perfectly okay to not be on a hype train. It'd be just like if you were a professional plumber and some customer came behind you and questioned and judged everything you did without having any of the hands-on experience to back it up - you'd probably be a little offended, too.

I love how people will come in here to throw shade at a review when (a) all reviews are absolutely subjective and opinion and (b) said commentor hasn't played the game himself. The shade would hold a lot more weight once the game is out and experienced, but critiquing and questioning a reviewer's motives based on "what I've seen" (and not what I've actually played) is pretty laughable.

"Platinum games' past few entries have left me feeling burnt" basically exposes his own bias that he is accusing the reviewer of having.

Re: EA Looking To Bring More Of Its Successful Games To Switch

"Good Success" equates to the dreaded FIFA "Legacy Edition" in just the third year.

While I would certainly welcome a Madden (Switch doesn't have a single american football game on it yet!) or a Dead Space, only a braindead company wouldn't realize the possibility of profits in porting The Sims, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies and others to the Switch.

Re: Poll: Vote For Your Favourite Nintendo DS Games

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Hotel Dusk
Clubhouse Games - which was my first taste of handheld online gaming.

And Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. I remember being amazed that a full PlayStation CD's worth of data could fit on a tiny DS cartridge. In a time after the REmake came out, I still love playing the original, and the DS incarnation was quite good!

(EDIT: I mistakenly typed New Leaf when I meant Wild World)
