Some people are so overboard with their hatred about this game, its like Switch Sports came to their house and shot their dog.

Did anyone even watch this video before devolving into the same complaints from a week ago? Its a really funny video.

@Mikmoomamimocki I misread the comment. He said Mother 3 on an article on an Earthbound/Mother 2 video, which is what I was referring to.

Bowling, easily. I've tried the others and they were mostly fine, but I keep coming back to Survivor Bowling every time.

Those talking about them taking out the Miis, that was to be expected since - until very recently - they really gave Miis a de-push and shoved them into the background. Most Switch users (save for the diehard fans) have one Mii per user on the system, so single players like me only have one in total. And you can have a profile without even having a Mii at all on your system. The game would have a significantly smaller pool of Miis to draw from than back on the Wii, so replacing them with Shy Guys made more sense.

@ShadowofTwilight22 While I loved Wii Sports, you are definitely not alone in that opinion. One of my best friends felt the same way. He never understood why I loved it as much as I did. haha

@Rika_Yoshitake Article never says its a failure, nor did it compare it to the sales of Elden Ring. It in fact says it did well for a niche game, selling close over 800k worldwide in only two weeks.

@samuelvictor Awesome, detailed and polite reply explanation. It wasn't towards me, but I learned a lot from what you shared.

I'll add that - in the case when I worked at NoA as a contractor via an outside agency - any decisions made in regards to training, discipline, benefits, rules, regulations, treatment, working conditions, etc fell solely on NoA and its employees. The only contact I had with my agency when there was for paycheck and time keeping stuff. Everything else was dictated by Nintendo.

So anything (if anything at all) comes out of this, it falls much more on Nintendo's doing than on whatever agencies they use.

@Andyv01 You're not in a minority. It's a rule of thumb that the upset customers are the ones who are more vocal than the ones who are pleased. Not that the angry ones don't have points to make, but most people who are happy with LRG aren't as likely to a post about liking them as the people who don't.

@Anti-Matter There is nothing wrong with seeing people with different opinions. But posting stuff like giant Barbie gifs and saying "Girlie games forever", you should expect to get some comments in return.

Giving an opinion also means people can give theirs in response to yours.

I am happy Ubisoft is supporting this game with DLC. Just picked this up and pretty happy its legit pretty innovative and much more than just a new card skin.

This sounds like a part of the book I would really, really be interested in.

It's unrelated to the MK series, but Sega CD's Night Trap also played a huge role in at least the early creation of a video games rating system, and was often mentioned right alongside Mortal Kombat in those congressional hearings.

No wonder Nintendo tries to tell people to "prep" consoles before giving them as gifts. I'd be ticked if someone opened my new console before giving it to me, but I'd also be ticked to not be able to download Mario Kart in my holiday bundle. haha

The wide range of comments here are really fascinating, ranging from "This issue is way overblown/doesn't exist" to people who have actually had it happen (including the article's writer) and give clear examples of how and when it did.

@RiasGremory Good luck. They aren't going to spring for a 32GB card for this game. The base game is a 17.8GB download, and with two hefty DLC packs, this game would certainly still need an additional download even with a physical cartridge.

Having a franchise such as Madden on the Switch - who had yet to have a real American football game on it as far as I know - would be huge. People here may hate EA for good reasons, but this would be a major deal to see a Madden on Switch this fall alongside the other consoles.

There is a large swath of sports fans who already own a Switch and would definitely give a portable Madden a try.

It's funny to see how this took off. I watched it on his channel before it went viral. It's just a fun little video, not meant to be anything groundbreaking or a deep dive into them technical aspects of it.

Glad to see someone come back with facts on his behalf.

It should be noted that Crash 4 is launching on Switch at $20 less than the still-current MSRP price on PS4/PS5/Xbox Family.

@GVIL That's an awesome story about how gaming was able to keep people connected during one of the toughest years we've ever faced.

@Bulborb I think a lot of the gaming people doing these comparison videos have moved onto having a PS4 Pro so that is what is available to them.

@PALversusNTSC Because Bethesda has games on Switch right now and this could affect future titles.

It should also be noted that in North America, this port is launching at $20 less than the MSRP of the PS4/Xbox One versions - which still sit at $59.99 today. Its a tardy port, but - for once - is a lesser price than its counterparts.

I really enjoyed it. They do seem to speed up slightly once it gets past the 16-bit era, but there are a lot of outstanding interviews throughout, and great footage from the eras. Nostalgia kicked in seeing the ads, pictures from the hardware cases at Toys 'R Us, so I probably liked it for that reason, too.

I think the nitpicks here are valid, but as die hard Nintendo fans, we are going to be very critical about documentaries like this. I enjoyed it for what it was, and have recommended it to friends.

EA gets a lot of flak from Nintendo gamers, with good reason. But there is no doubt having their titles available on Switch would be a good thing, generally speaking. Having a Battlefield or a Madden on the Switch (given they are comparable to other consoles) would put up decent numbers I believe as far as third party titles go. EA also holds the licenses to games that I think would sell great on Switch, like The Sims 4 and Peggle.

I wonder how their ports of Burnout and Need for Speed sold on Switch?

Ghost n Goblins for me. I would consider the Blizzard Arcade Collection, but $20 seems a little pricy to me for just three games, although all the added content listed gives me a bit of pause on it.

Articles like this really bring out the comments by people who take life too seriously.
