Question : What games on this list will you be checking out in the month of July?
Me : Time on Frog Island
PS5 version. 😁
Xenoblade 3 can't release soon enough, these waiting months have been painful...
Definitely getting Klonoa and Live A Live.
I'm very interested in Live A Live, having played (and really enjoyed!) a rom of it like 20 years ago.
XEL has had my attention for a good while. We'll see how it reviews. Of course getting XC3 as well. Live a Live will have to wait.
Just Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for me.
Already have Live A Live & Xenoblade Chronicles 3 pre-ordered from Best Buy. I'll also order a copy of Doom Eternal for Switch from Limited Run. That's probably it for the month.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is gonna be a wild ride. Please let July 29th come sooner!
Definitely getting (but none on launch day!):
Would be nice if any of this was clickable so I could find more info on things I hadn't heard about like Xel, making me do my own searching? Nonsense.
Looks like nothing for me from this list though although Digimon has my interest even if I've never played any of their games before.
It's all about Xenoblade Chronicles 3, for me.
Great month. Xenoblade 3 is day 1. Also interested in Live a Live, ASG3, Klonoa and depending on reviews and impressions, perhaps Digmon as well.
Gunvolt for me… Xenoblade maybe. Digimon, I really need to know more before I say yes. Wish I could say yes to Live A Live, but it’s probably the one Square game I’m passing on this year.
Switch-wise… I’m probably not getting anything this month. I never played Xenoblade outside of a couple hours of X back in 2015 or so. I have the Definitive Edition that I picked up on sale so if I enjoy playing through that soon then I’ll definitely get 3 down the road.
Gonna grab Live a Live [finish what is left off from demo] then pretty much spend August on XB3
But I might go PS.
But... backlog!!! so prob just the one I already paid for.
So glad I was able to get the XB3 CE... Oh wait, I WASN'T CAUSE NINTENDO'S SITE IS TRASH!
Pretty amazing month honestly.
-Really looking forward to Klonoa.
-I hadn't heard of XEL, but looked interesting in the video.
-Endling looks gorgeous although might be too depressing.
I tried the demo of Live a Live and thought it was beautiful and well done but I didn't quite like the combat so I'll pass, especially since I have an infinite RPG backlog, but still looks like a great game.
I love GUNVOLT games so looking forward to the new one.
Xenoblade also looks amazing but not sure if I have the time to start such a huge game.
Lots of interesting games, but I almost feel like I should be taking a break until the 29th. I lost multiple full days to other Xenoblades just by picking up the contoller in the morning and suddenly realizing it was midnight. I'm definitely with Alex and don't need to learn anything else about 3 until I pop it into my Switch.
XC3 will be my game for my summer vacancy, 3 weeks off I hope this will be enough to finish it.
Pretty solid month for me. Buuuut I’m broke. Into the BF list you go!
Digimon Survive and Klonoa for me, both of which are by Bandai, surprisingly. And that reminds me, that I'll need to complete the Digimon Cyber Sleuth games. I got stuck in the first one after a bunch of hours. I should give it another crack.
Xenoblade 3 is a skip for now as I haven't completed any of the prior games, and with a season pass announced, I'll hold out until next year.
For those of you that bought the physical copy of Capcom Fighting Collection, there’s a code inside for a free game for Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium called “3 Wonders”.
Klonoa, Live a Live, Digimon and Xenoblade this month!
Ahhhh jeez I'm not ready for Xenobarf 3 to consume all of my free time. Maybe I'll feel slightly better if I make a goal like "finish one game on the backlog per week until it gets released and then never finish any of the others".
I really want Klonoa and Live A Live. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be awesome but I still need to play 1 and 2 first. I put off playing them because they're so long but I'm missing out on some great games.
Nothing to me.
Playing my backlog! It´s good enough!
@Anti-Matter I can’t wait for Time on Frogs Island!
@Anti-Matter why do you feel the need to say that you won't play the game on Switch? I usually don't react to comments like this but It's not the first time you say this either.
Like... do you expect people to be angry about that or something?
This month I honestly expect to buy too many games. Since the beggining of this year the majority of money for games each month goes to second hand games (for 3DS, Wii and DS specially) with one Switch game sometimes in the middle. But this month I have to make an exception.
I have already preordered LiveALive and Xenoblade 3 (I've given up on the collectors edition XD). And I also want to buy Klonoa (although maybe I buy Kao the Kangaroo instead).
@jowe_gw
Recently I have registered a lot of PS5 games on my book and I need a lot of 3rd party multi console games for my PS5 games library if the upcoming games have physical release on PS5.
The reason I don't pick those games on Switch version because if pick all those 3rd party multi console games on Switch, my PS4 and PS5 will have no games since my PS4 and PS5 games library are really depended on 3rd party multi console games and I bought the games only once so I want the best version as possible from the console version release, on very rare case I double dipped or even triple dipped the same games if the games are really really good.
Btw, my Switch games library on my book still have more games than my PS4 / PS5 games so I want to distribute equally as possible so my PS4 / PS5 still got the games and so does with my Switch since I have a lot of different consoles in my house.
I have no intention to make someone upset from my comment about getting the PS5 version instead of Switch version, I was also excited to see the games I like get physical release on PlayStation version. And since I like the PS4 & PS5 box design, I want to get more 3rd multi console games on PlayStation version.
I played both Nintendo and PlayStation games so every machines are complementing each other.
@Anti-Matter OH, ok.
Sorry about that. It's just that comment felt a bit... like THOSE types of comments you know?
But hey, you manage to get a PS5 (which shouldn't be that hard at this point but whatever...) and you want to build a library of physical games. Specially since the first party library is still quite small. Makes sense. Good luck with that then!
Very good month.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of my most anticipated of the year so far. Big fan of the first game.
Klonoa is an insta-buy (loved the playstation series and the wiimake of no.1).
Live a Live & River City Saga require reviews but are likely to turn out swell, so there is two more purchases there at some point soon after their release!
The youngest and I love the Digimon video game series in general so Survive is an insta-download.
I have some download code somewhere for Capcom 2nd for July 22nd release, so I'll give that a spin.
I liked the first two Azure Striker Gunvolt games. Therefore follows....
