Re: Talking Point: Are You Preparing Your Island For The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update?

I haven't played since February, after over 500 hours in the game. I'll probably rip out some of my early builds to make room for some of the new stuff. And since I finally got all my flower hybrids, I can use my old breeding grounds as farmland.

I figured I'd boot it up in the next day or two to see how many of my villagers starved to death and see what horrors have befallen my house. I'm super excited for the DLC. I bever got around to paying Hapoy Home Designer, abut it was on my wishlist for some long.

I think what a lot of the Nintendo defenders aren't getting is that it isn't that people can't afford it or are being frugal or whatever. Could I pay $80 to get this? Yes. I coukd totally afford that. But is it worth that? Ah heck no. That isn't anywhere close to the right value. That'd be like saying that it's fine to spend $20 on a McDonald's coffee because in the long run, $20 isn't that much. That'd be ridiculous

@johnvboy It's not about the actual cost. It's that they're charging over twice as much for it. They originally treated the NSO like you were paying for the online and cloud backup and such, and the emus were bonuses. Now they're charging so much for another little extra.

Before it was announced, people were guessing prices, there was even a poll on here. People were hoping for $5, guessing for 10. A few thought it may even be 15. For it to be literally twice the price of what people were personally valuing it is insane.

And no, I know I'm not the only one, There are people all over the internet talking about it. My family and friends with Switchs are all cringing at the price. Don't defend the super rich ultra company's greed, it's apparent they won't reward your loyalty

Re: Community: What Was Your First Ever Nintendo Game?

Kieroni

It's hard to know for sure, since I had an older brother who owned a GBC probably from shortly after I was born. The first game I actually remember playing is Pokemon Yellow. My brother let ne play on a new game, as long as I didn't save over his new file, but I didn't realize that messing with the PC would save the game. Oops. I could read from a very young age, but I guess my comprehension wasn't always there
