Well i managed to beat the game on hard with 100% but unfortunately i forgot to hit record ๐คฆโโ๏ธ. You will just have to take my word for it ๐. In all seriousness id love to be able to be this good......at anything.
Well ive managed to get my wife (who doesnt play games) and my 17yr old lad(whose constantly glued to his PC) to join me and my daughter for a game. Thats worth the ยฃ40 price tag on its own in my oppinion.
Im no good with anything jumpy. I even jumped playing Super mario partys - dont wake the wiggler mini game ๐ my 10 year old used to find it highly hilarious. big girls blouse i am.
Maybe im too late to the party or just didnt get it because i didnt like the film. Was thinking of having a read of the 3 main books to see if it could spark something for me.
Glad he likes games tho, i suppose ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I still feel like there is some Nintendo pandering going on here. I would love to get this for my kids but even they got bored of the lack of boards in Super and 1 of them they flat out didnt like taking the count down by 1. I will get it at some point but as my daughter has just got in to smash bros i will hold out as long as possible i think or at least until she spots it and begs me to buy it ๐
I probarbly will at some point as my kids loved the last one and its one of the few games i can get the wife playing. It was our first MP game but the lack of boards soon wore thin with me. Disappointed by the lack of boards once again and the removal of the character dice but the mini games should still be fun i suppose. Some DLC boards would be nice even if i begrudgingly have to pay for them even tho they should have been in the game to start with. Will be interesting to see if N leave this version to rot like they did Super.
(EDIT) I broke and got it.
@Sciqueen i absolutely loved 64 and still love it today. Mario has been refined alot more recently but i just dont get the same feeling playing any other Mario game.
One game that didnt do it for me at all. I cant put my finger on why but i just couldnt warm to it despite getting right up to the city stage. Its really strange as i didnt gel with 3d all stars or the "New" series either. I think im just burnt out on Mario games. 64 and the Galaxy games are my favourites. Dont flame me ๐
2 refined everything that the first one did and imo is the best of the bunch but the first was such an amazingly good game. The atmosphere and sence of scale was beutiful. 3 is equally delightful to play. Such a charming series.
@glaemay i dont really play online anyway. There looks to be plenty of content in the single player and im hoping to get my kids in to it a bit. Still struggling with the controls a bit tho.
I got Smash ultimate yesterday so ive been enjoying collecting the spirits whilst trying to get used to the controls. Other than that i intend to clear up Crysis 3.
@wuntyme8 "I found a useful flexible hands-free neck cellphone holder that can expand to securely hold my Switch at eye-level in bed so I can still play with my Pro Controller while not holding the Switch"
Thats an awsome idea. Ive actually got one of these and didnt even think to use it.
I agree with @BenAV as it really deoends of the genre for me. Something like Metroid dread i wouldnt want to be a 30 hour game. I was happy to 100% it in 15 hours but naturally that time would come down on a 2nd run. Something like an RPG between 20 and 50 hours i guess as, anything more is a big invest in to one game.
Much rather them push it back to get it to where they want it than push for that simultaneous release just to get the sales. We see too many games released with major issues or game breaking bugs already.
Got these upon release and they really are good for what they are. I dont like the first one but thats for other reasons apart from the looks. The 2nd and the 3rd, especially the 3rd are brilliant tho. Nice and smooth with no lag (locked 30fps according to switchup) really happy with how they turned out. Its a good job none of these games are as demanding as the KH games otherwise they would have been cloud based. Sarcasm intended.
@HammerGalladeBro i never even got to try online. Just facing computer controlled opponents was a struggle for me. I went for young link as he seemed pretty easy to use and looked like he had a fun move set but i will admit that i struggled to even land up attacks etc. I also didnt like having to fight for the smash attacks as opposed to building up a bar by attacking/taking damage. It all felt a bit alien to me but i do regret not giving it more of a go before selling it. My daughter is also nugging me for it.
Off topic from the DLC packs. I had smash upon release and really didnt got on with the mechanics despite usually loving a good beat em ups. Its just didnt feel natural. I just found it felt weird to control so ended up selling only a few days after getting it. Ive fanvied grabbing it again for a while now but obvioustly dont want to be in the same boat. Is it a game thats taken other people a while for it to click with or is it a game you either love or hate? TIA.
Although being the grand old age of 37 ive never actually played the origional 2 Zelda titles despite being a series fan. I think i will grab this one.
(EDIT) im actually 38. Forgot my own age ๐ฌ๐ฌ
Must have purchased the store with the money they made from the new NSO deal ๐๐
On a serious note tho id love to visit somewhere like this. I remember back in the 90's while working work expierience with my brother. We were in London and he was finalising a sale in a store and i popped over the street and was playing Street Fighter Alpha 2 for an hour in an arcade. Was amazing.
@JaxonH "Crysis 3 Remastered is another that surprised me. Didn't like the first game, and the Gyro aiming was borked. But this 3rd one is 100% legit."
100% agree. I got the collection over the weekend and couldntcget on with the 1st at all. Chucked the 3rd on to see what the jump was like and its night and day on every aspect. That bow.. ๐๐
Ive got no issue paying an extra ยฃ10 a year on top of the current ยฃ17.99 for the privilege of the N64 and the genesis games. Its the bit extra im being told ive got to pay for the mandatory DLC im never going to use. Im really happy for the folks that will make use of the subscription to its full potential tho. I love Nintendo and always have done but this is one practice that i wont support and im glad people are being vocal on the matter.
@theGamerPad "this pays/covers for future licenses too that we are unaware of: TG16? GoldenEye? NBA Jam? Ken Griffey? Other big third party games"
Its usually a good idea to let people, whose money you are trying to get know what they are intending to add to the service. Its also paying for DLC that i wont and intend to never use. Those that say the DLC is a good will gesture and all were paying for is the 2 new consoles are kidding themselves. Like i said previously, im happy for the people that can take full advantage of this but i wont so will unfortunately have to forfeit the N64 games. This has been cleverly thought about. You can buy 1 years standard sub at ยฃ17.99 and the DLC for the same price as the new membership that adds in N64 and Genesis games. Sounds like a no brainer until your sub expires and you lose access to alot the DLC has to offer so you either have to sub again under the new plan for another year or buy the DLC seperate which in turn will lose you the 2 classic systems.
Goldeneye will never happen unfortunately as much as it would be awsome.
More fool Nintendo then for paying them that much for games that are already available on the switch and expecting everyone to be on board with the pricing of the new subscription. Should have just added in GB, GBC, and GBA, preserving their own back catalog and left sega to make their compilations.
As i stated in another thread i will stick to paying a cheeky ยฃ12 for my standard UK yearly subscription as much as i would like to play those N64 games.
@Mahatma you will get there. He obliterated me the first few times but now i can beat him without taking a hit. Only boss i can replay due to reloading my last save.
Managed to clear up Dread an Bayo2 in the same day so i will be looking in to the back log to see what i fancy. God knows there is enough there. May finally start Xenoblade remaster or jump back in to Tokyo mirage FE but i know i will end up on something else.
When they drop the AC DLC (which can and should only be purchasable seperate) from the sub and offer a tier 2 sub with online and the 4 classic consoles then i will consider increasing my plan. Im not paying for DLC to a game i dont own and have no interest in.
Great news for AC players but a sting in the tail for people only wanting the N64 games.
