Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Party Superstars

Kidfunkadelic83

I still feel like there is some Nintendo pandering going on here. I would love to get this for my kids but even they got bored of the lack of boards in Super and 1 of them they flat out didnt like taking the count down by 1. I will get it at some point but as my daughter has just got in to smash bros i will hold out as long as possible i think or at least until she spots it and begs me to buy it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Poll: Mario Party Superstars Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?

Kidfunkadelic83

I probarbly will at some point as my kids loved the last one and its one of the few games i can get the wife playing. It was our first MP game but the lack of boards soon wore thin with me. Disappointed by the lack of boards once again and the removal of the character dice but the mini games should still be fun i suppose. Some DLC boards would be nice even if i begrudgingly have to pay for them even tho they should have been in the game to start with. Will be interesting to see if N leave this version to rot like they did Super.
(EDIT) I broke and got it.

Re: Talking Point: How Many Hours Is A 'Short' Game For You?

Kidfunkadelic83

I agree with @BenAV as it really deoends of the genre for me. Something like Metroid dread i wouldnt want to be a 30 hour game. I was happy to 100% it in 15 hours but naturally that time would come down on a 2nd run. Something like an RPG between 20 and 50 hours i guess as, anything more is a big invest in to one game.

Re: Review: Crysis Remastered Trilogy - A Slick FPS Package That Runs Fine On Switch

Kidfunkadelic83

Got these upon release and they really are good for what they are. I dont like the first one but thats for other reasons apart from the looks. The 2nd and the 3rd, especially the 3rd are brilliant tho. Nice and smooth with no lag (locked 30fps according to switchup) really happy with how they turned out. Its a good job none of these games are as demanding as the KH games otherwise they would have been cloud based. Sarcasm intended.

Re: Poll: As Sora Joins Smash Bros. Ultimate, How Much Of The DLC Roster Do You Own?

Kidfunkadelic83

@HammerGalladeBro i never even got to try online. Just facing computer controlled opponents was a struggle for me. I went for young link as he seemed pretty easy to use and looked like he had a fun move set but i will admit that i struggled to even land up attacks etc. I also didnt like having to fight for the smash attacks as opposed to building up a bar by attacking/taking damage. It all felt a bit alien to me but i do regret not giving it more of a go before selling it. My daughter is also nugging me for it.

Re: Poll: As Sora Joins Smash Bros. Ultimate, How Much Of The DLC Roster Do You Own?

Kidfunkadelic83

Off topic from the DLC packs. I had smash upon release and really didnt got on with the mechanics despite usually loving a good beat em ups. Its just didnt feel natural. I just found it felt weird to control so ended up selling only a few days after getting it. Ive fanvied grabbing it again for a while now but obvioustly dont want to be in the same boat. Is it a game thats taken other people a while for it to click with or is it a game you either love or hate?
TIA.

Must have purchased the store with the money they made from the new NSO deal ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ
On a serious note tho id love to visit somewhere like this. I remember back in the 90's while working work expierience with my brother. We were in London and he was finalising a sale in a store and i popped over the street and was playing Street Fighter Alpha 2 for an hour in an arcade. Was amazing.

@JaxonH "Crysis 3 Remastered is another that surprised me. Didn't like the first game, and the Gyro aiming was borked. But this 3rd one is 100% legit."

100% agree. I got the collection over the weekend and couldntcget on with the 1st at all. Chucked the 3rd on to see what the jump was like and its night and day on every aspect. That bow.. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Re: Random: Uh-Oh, Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer' Is Generating A Lot Of Dislikes

Kidfunkadelic83

Ive got no issue paying an extra ยฃ10 a year on top of the current ยฃ17.99 for the privilege of the N64 and the genesis games. Its the bit extra im being told ive got to pay for the mandatory DLC im never going to use. Im really happy for the folks that will make use of the subscription to its full potential tho. I love Nintendo and always have done but this is one practice that i wont support and im glad people are being vocal on the matter.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

Kidfunkadelic83

@theGamerPad "this pays/covers for future licenses too that we are unaware of: TG16? GoldenEye? NBA Jam? Ken Griffey? Other big third party games"

Its usually a good idea to let people, whose money you are trying to get know what they are intending to add to the service. Its also paying for DLC that i wont and intend to never use. Those that say the DLC is a good will gesture and all were paying for is the 2 new consoles are kidding themselves. Like i said previously, im happy for the people that can take full advantage of this but i wont so will unfortunately have to forfeit the N64 games. This has been cleverly thought about. You can buy 1 years standard sub at ยฃ17.99 and the DLC for the same price as the new membership that adds in N64 and Genesis games. Sounds like a no brainer until your sub expires and you lose access to alot the DLC has to offer so you either have to sub again under the new plan for another year or buy the DLC seperate which in turn will lose you the 2 classic systems.
Goldeneye will never happen unfortunately as much as it would be awsome.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

Kidfunkadelic83

More fool Nintendo then for paying them that much for games that are already available on the switch and expecting everyone to be on board with the pricing of the new subscription. Should have just added in GB, GBC, and GBA, preserving their own back catalog and left sega to make their compilations.
As i stated in another thread i will stick to paying a cheeky ยฃ12 for my standard UK yearly subscription as much as i would like to play those N64 games.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Kidfunkadelic83

@sanderev and i completed understand that and appreciate it and wouldnt/dont do it with games still available at retail stores where chaps like yourself lose out on the sale of a new retail copy of a game. If Nintendo cared enough about that they would not be trying to shoehorn people in to a subscription which is charged mainly towards a singular game, in this case animal crossing. I was more than happy to pay an extra ยฃ9.99 or even round it to a straight ยฃ30 a year but you cant agree that making people pay for DLC for a game they may not possibly have or show an interest in is a good business model? They are even selling the DLC stand alone so its nothing more than to line their own pockets. Thats the bit im not ok with.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Kidfunkadelic83

For me, my major gripe is the fact that Nintendo are trying to charge me extra for something i wont use and should quite frankly not be part of this package or at least be tiered further. The AC DLC! Yes i want the N64 games, yes i want the N64 controller but im not interested in the majority of the price hike being charged to something that i will never take advantage of. There should have been 3 tiers. Standard yearly sub with the current 2 classic consoles included at the current ยฃ17.99, mid sub including the 4 classic consoles for an extra ยฃยฃ5-ยฃ10-ยฃ15 and then top tier sub for those that play AC at the revealed price. You can buy the DLC seperate so why make people pay for it in the sub? It doesnt make sense. For those that are going to get full potential out of this subscription its awsome and im happy for you but for some of us others that dont play AC we just have to either like it and cough up or lump it and forfeit the extra 2 classic consoles.
Atleast everyones stopped moaning about Metroid Dread now ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Kidfunkadelic83

@sanderev why would i be stealing them when i own the origionals that im trying to preserve as collectors items? This was a great opportunity for me to be able to play these games and not have to break in to my collectors items. The difference is my local grocery store doesnt try to dupe me in to renting groceries like Nintendo have. If i buy a loaf of bread its mine to own. Poor example.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

Kidfunkadelic83

This is unfortunate. I guess i wont need that N64 controller now as i will be sticking with the standard subscription. Defenately not paying that much to play N64 games and Genesis and im not interested in AC what so ever. Oh well, guess i will go back to downloading roms for the games i want to play as Nintendo cant be bothered to offer them for a reasonable price.
