@Suketoudara a new Pilot wings or Waverace would be the dream for me. I didnt like Pilotwings on the 3ds tho. Thought they tried to pack in too much rubbish like the jet plane etc and it lost all its character charm by adding in those bloody Mii's. Id be happy for a remake of PW64 and a remake of Waverace: blue storm from the Gamecube. We can keep on wishing buddy.
@the_beaver yeah the entirety of the story mode is single player. There are quests and boss fights that you can do in multiplayer but that is completely separate from the single player story that isxaingle player only.
@Sylamp I know a few people that have completed it solo and they really enjoyed it. The story mode is solely single player.Ive played it but never got to the end. Its a decent game tho make no mistake. Best thing to do is hop on to youtube and check out a review for the ps5 version. It will atleast give you an idea of what to expect.
@Sylamp its more than playable solo. There is a co op element but imo its plays just as good as any single player RPG game. Every aspect from the single player to the post game and all DLC can be played completely on your own.
Ahhhh man. The review started off so good. As a massive fan of sci fi this sounded right up my alley....until the mention of horror and jump scares. As someone that doesnt like horror tension at all, this is a big nope from me for this reason alone.
If we're talking essential then there is only 1 essential item in my opinion and that is a screen protector. Nothing else is essential to enjoy the S2 but your going to be pretty pis*ed when that plastic film scratches.
Yeah i would have liked a few changes here and there like more interactive shops in Hyrule castle town, Kakariko village to be a bit more fleshed out, hyrule field definitely needs a few more roaming enemy encounters etc but overall I think OoT is still a near perfect game. Cant wait for this to release.
I got my digital purchase refunded on PS5 about 6 months after purchase due to lying Devs saying stuff would be in the next patch etc and it wasn't. I wont be making the same mistake on S2 thats for sure.
@JamesS2612 should have releast with atleast a duel card slot so you could still use a standard MSD card for anything switch 1. They knew what they were doing tho.
@WheresWaveRace yeah i was coming to the end of secondary school so would have been 14 or 15 and remember being glued to this game from start to finish. Me and an old school friend would be playing it at the same then share our progress the next day in class. Good times indeed.
@Twilite9 man, I remember getting stuck on that blasted water temple for a couple of days. I was missing a key and it was located in a chest in that central column lol.
@Stormcloudlive thats awsome news. I didnt delve too deep in to the menus as like you, its the easiest day 1 of the year for me and I didt really want to spoil anything. Nearly didnt even download the demo for that same reason but just couldn't resist it in the end lol.
Great news for S2 owners. I wont be double dipping tho after completing the PS5 copy 3 times. Great game but with the style of combat they really need to try and get it to 60fps some how. Alot of timed parry and dodge mechanics that could become frustrating. Enjoy collecting all those costumes.
@WhiteTrashGuy "However..... PLEASE LET ME SWITCH A & Y IN THE FINAL RELEASE!!!!"
Yeah i get that. Also, although I didnt check but I dont like the use of the Dpad to do a loop. Id much rather it be mapped to the right stick or down and boost like it was on the 64 and 3ds and down and brake for the U turn in all range mode. No reason a game like this shouldn't be able to be completely re- mapped.
@15roundTKO "Why do people love re-releases? Those games are already easily obtained."
All well and good if everyone that owns a S2 already has a means to play those re-releases. As a PS5 owner I agree with you but I know that for many the S2 is the sole console. Strong 3rd party direct but missing those dormant 1st party IPs for my liking. Star fox was awsome but i would like to a revisit to wave race or Pilot wings some time. Even if its the 64 or game cube versions give the new star fox treatment.
@Anti-Matter "Capcom can make good fighting games so why don't they make cute Boxing / Kickboxing games like K-1 Pocket Grand Prix on GBA"
Because they want to sell 7mil copies not 500k copies. Simple as that. Nothing against the games you like but they just dont hit those big capcom numbers.
@Kaart I dont even know how to use discord lol. I would like that update code tho as I also own the physical and have been wanting to start playing this game.
EDIT - Ive managed to muddle my way through Discord and see the guy a DM.
Could do with another solid kart racer. Id love a spiritual successor to DKR, which in my mind is far superior to Mario Kart. I just loved the adventure mode and the collectibles in each level and the world bosses etc. Just a perfect kart game imo
@BrokenCiv alot of the videos seem to be for the PC tho. Do they transfer over to the switch well? I can happily sit there for an hour just doing stuff on it as I really enjoy it but I just dont know the purpose of why im doing it and what i should be aiming for ๐คฃ
It works really well in mouse mode tho.
@BrokenCiv I got civ7 last week when I got my switch 2 as it was on sale and supports mouse mode and despite loving the idea and the look of it I just havnt got a clue what im doing or why im doing it lol. The game just baffles me. I find im just building stuff without any sort of strategy then I just get attacked. Even the tutorial doesn't explain what to do very well.
@neil9000 you should give it a go if you have anything that supports mouse mode. Broken sword is the absolute perfect game for mouse mode. It feels completely at home using it. I even purchased a mouse adapter from amazon for a more natural feel. I cant fault it really. Appreciate the heads up on the triggers ๐
Nice review but for me no mouse mode is a deal breaker as ive purchased a few games exclusively for that (broken sword and civ7) I didnt see (maybe missed in the review) but are the triggers analogue or clicky, like the official ones? They look clicky.
Nowhere near in a position to give a score on the game yet as I only started it last night but im enjoying it alot from what ive played. Very impressive stuff to get this running on a S2. Bodes well for the future.
I dont need convincing to buy this again, I mean it was one of the reasons I got a S2 at the weekend and pre ordered day 1. One of my favorite games ever rose tinted glasses or not.
This is exactly what I say lol.
Nah the wife is chill. We dont care what each other buys as long as the bills are paid for and we each add to our savings pot. She actually quite liked the look on Indy too. She's not a gamer by heart but she will sit and watch me and give me "tips" on what to do next etc. She does like being beat at Mario kart tho ๐คฃ
Just ordered this. Only got my switch 2 at the weekend and already starting to get a bit of a collection. I better not tell the wife about this one ๐ฌ
Preordered yesterday from shopto.net for ยฃ42. The announcement of this game (and the price hike) made me finally brake and get a S2 yesterday along with DK and Metroid 4. I was planning to hold out for a console revision but Starfox was the tipping point. This was one of my favorite games on the 64 and I will be supporting it come release.
@jfp I do find the upgrade path and knowing what S1 games have had a substantial upgrade hard to get my head around tho. I mean, do they just update as a normal update when you insert the cart etc?
I went for highly likely. Ive toyed with the idea since launch but a few things have put me off. As an owner of the Oled I wasn't keen on going back to non oled, expensive memory, Game key cards (making the expensive memory pretty mandatory), and lack of killer games was a big one for me etc. Since they announced Starfox (one of my all time favourites) ive been looking in to prices etc, and now with the rise of the cost its highly likely I will bite and either trade in my oled or give it to my daughter.
Truly was one of the very best games on the N64 and this could tip me to finally get a S2 and ive been dead set on not getting one until an oled was released. I might just not be able to hold out now.
I will be buying the switch 2 when its out. This game will tip me over the edge unless they mess it up completely. Starfox64 is one of my all time faves.
@AmplifyMJ happy birthday to him. My daughter was 5 yesterday and we couldn't find the physical so she got it digital instead. I havnt a clue what its about but she loved the demo and decided she wanted the full game.

Dont get the hate for this pad. One of the most comfortable controllers i used back in the day and I still have no issues with it today.
