This Charles guy seems really genuinely nice and judging by the answer to the last question and about the key cards, he's certainly got his head screwed on the right way around. That was a nice read about one of my favorite game series.

Not alot this weekend. Got a new cartridge for my record player yesterday so installed that and got it all tracked and aligned and have been blasting some tunes out and just chilling out. I might find some time in the evening but nothing too hectic for me. I'm in "cant be bothered to use my brain" mode when it comes to games lately so alot of Wreckfest.

As a collector or records i love seeing this sort of thing. The Minecraft soundtrack is amazing as is the Ghost of Tsushima one too.

They should have done some Haduchiken nuggets.

@Yoshi3 well I'm not a horror games fan at all. I scare at anything and I nearly picked this up the last sale. After what you just said I'm glad I didn't bother. I've had the SH2 remake on PS5 since launch and have only played the first 10 minutes. Just walking through the fog was bad enough 🤣 I don't know why I do it to myself. Guess its because i like the idea of the genre.

No. Nothing thus far has made me want a S2 at all. I was going to get one day 1 but once the deep dives came out I changed my mind. lackluster exclusives, terrible battery life, overpriced games, the use of Key cards being taken advantage of by nearly every dev, no oled screen, expensive additional storage. The day the S2 came out I traded my OG switch in for a used splatoon 3 Oled. I could probably overlook the Key card situation as long as I can still trade in anything I don't want anymore but I will certainly be waiting for a revision of the S2 and some exclusives that actually look good (bar DKB) If I didn't have a switch I could see the appeal but the extra £ I'd have to foot towards it isn't worth it for me at the present.

Found this game bloody hard.

Will get this eventually but just came here to say Hades 1 is an incredible game and for the price it is on the store atm anyone with a passing interest should get it.

@LikelySatan yeah i have alot of stuff on my Miyoo mini + too (if you haven't heard of it check it out, it's really cool) like some fan made pokemon and Zelda games too.

Not officially, but it's on mine along with a qhole host of other snes games. For preservation purposes naturally.

@Qwiff exactly the same as me. I'm also waiting for the S2 revision to come out. Nothing I've seen so far makes me think I NEED a S2. I like Metroid but I'm not sold on the open world bits (the biking through the desert looked awful) MK looks naff in comparison to 8 and I don't like some of the decisions they have made. DK looks cool but I can't justify a console for a sole game and everything else i want i have or have had on my PS5. Not to mention needing a dedicated, expensive memory card, no OLED screen and the whole key card fandango and the price of their games and Nintendo have really not sold me the S2 as of yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for all the people that love the S2 but for me, I'm just not there yet.

30 years old and still one of the finest Mario games and platformers in general. Such a cool art style too. Forever a classic!

@roy130390 yeah the Shinobi demo was awsome.

I always found the origional MK games hard as nails to play. SF i had no issue with but MK on anything harder than the easies couple of difficulties i used to get whooped by the cpu. I shall probarbly pass on this.

Whats wrong with these people, dont they like money?. 6 months time they will be complaining thet the game sold poorly.

@Jack_Goetz always loved the idea of visual novels but i find i get bored of them. This may be ok tho if theres some interaction and choices too. I might take a punt for that price. Cheers.

@Pillowpants i understand what your saying and i also usually go with Jap voice over in my games but then you get Japanese voices for Ken, Guile and Cammy etc when the former 2 are American and the latter is English. I do kinda agree with @Suketoudara on this point. They could have made the effort to have had him either speaking full Thai or atleast sounding like he was Thai talking in the selected language. He looks amazing tho.

Serious issue aside (i wonder if they could or would bad the other console playing the twin, and obvioustl fake cart) this line gave me a chuckle. I just imagined the buyer messaging someone with a big old beard, eye patch, wooden leg and a parrot on his sholder 😂

The fantastic Death stranding 2, Some ace combat 7 and i will try and start either Pikmin4 or Paper Mario - origami king and then off to watch the F1 movie later on . Its supposed to be a bit cooler in the UK today so might try to do a few miles on the bike later on. Have a good one.

@Slideaway1983 no they wont honour it as they havnt had the origional fee that was paid. They said the funds only come to them from Sainsburys after the card is activated in store. I played the whole multi million £ corporation line and the fact thst if i had a parcel go missing it would be instantly refunded or replaced but they just said it was down to sainsburys. They even said contact your bank and try get it reversed but my son said he cant be arsed with the stress and hes just chalked it up to a lesson well learnt. I will get my £50 worth of stuff from Amazon tho even if i have to play dirty to get it.

@Slideaway1983 Amazon have already checked and can see the card has not been activated. They have told me this. If they offer me another card then they are saying that the £50 will come from them whilst Sainsburys still hold my sons £50. Trust me, Ive poke to Amazon 7 times and been in to Sainsbury 5 times. Im just giving up now. Not worth the stress.

@Tasuki funny you say that as i have the same feeling towards Sainsburys here in the UK. My son got me a £50 gift voucher for fathers day a couple of weeks ago. They took the money out of his bank and scanned the gift card but it didnt activate due to a problem. They said it was down to Amazon to sort it out. Amazon said until a gift card has been activated they dont receive any money and my contract is with Sainsburys to supply something ive paid for. They wouldnt replace it tho even when Citizens advice stated it was indeed their responsibility. My son is now £50 light in his bank. I hate companies that fob their issues on to someone else.

Id have sent that back and got that (insert expletive) sacked by sending the footage to his employer. If i spend £450 on something you can bet your ass i want it in perfect condition. Yes, even the cardboard box.

@Anti-Matter thats what ive just done. Chose not to be an early adopter of switch 2 and upgraded to an Oled. Dont regret it. I will get a S2 in a couple of years when an updated model comes out, theres games worth playing (as someone who owns multiple consoles) and i can see the direction these key carts take. So far nothing about the S2 has made me really want one.

@AllBLK this and Cyberpunk have got to be the best 2 "come back" games ever.

@Jeronan yeah it was a while ago to be fair. Maybe 6 or 7 months ago. When i finally got to see it working he showed me EA PGA and it was completely unplayable. I may pick one up sometime as you can get them cheap for a used one.

@Jeronan yeah i nearly got a portal but my buddy showed me his when we were at work and it was terrible. Took ages to connect and graphics were crap. Im sure it was due to the connection but it didnt sell me it. I literally just have the oled, PS4 and my Miyoo mini plus for pocket retro gaming on the go.
I agree. Something me and my wife actively do now were older is go for a nice long walk most evening's and enjoy the fresh air and nature, things that are all around us and dont cost a penny. Have a good one.

@gsilver pretty much the same. I had a switch 2 in my basket on launch but ended up leaving it and upgrading from my day 1 OG to an Oled and oh boy what a difference. Switch 2 just isnt for me yet. I want to see if more games come out complete on the cart before i sign up and im certainly not paying switch tax for games like cyberpunk etc when i have the means to play them elsewhere at a substantially lower price, albeit not portable. I will certainly get one but playing on the oled means i wont get one until an oled version is released. I couldnt go back now.

@JumpingJackson they had sold out within half hour here so the temptation was well and gone after that lol. Still available for tomorrow tho.... atm anyway. Im in no rush. I will see how people are finding them first before i become an early adopter.

@gurtifus yeah my local Argos in the UK have the MK bundle available for today. I was tempted for a split second then decided to pull the plug on it. I dont need one now and want to learn more before i do my usual "just get it" the only reason for me to get one day 1 would be mario kart.

Looks no different from any other lifeless 3d pokemon game. By now they should have a map like Xenoblade X imo.

Its a shame as co op game like It takes 2 really benefit from voice chat. I wouldnt use this feature tho IF i decide to get a switch 2 at some point. From what ive seen so far im glad i didnt manage to get a pre order.

All this key card nonsense makes me glad i couldn't get a pre order. Now i just need to ponder over if i actually want a switch 2 or not now. Looks like eventually the majority of games will be on these key cards (either too big to hold all the data or too small to warranty the price of the cart) and thats potentially alot of games to boycott which in the long run does me no favours at all.
