"over 500 of the best Nintendo home console games, more than 50 boxed console variations, over 120 controllers, 300 magazines, 400 figures and 20 posters."
So...this is considered overly impressive nowadays? Or it warrants a ridiculous assumption such as "This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do"? Wow...there are dozens of better and bigger Nintendo collections. I myself used to own around 250 different N64 games alone, not counting games for other systems. Next time you post a video of a neat, though not exceptional collection, please spare us the insulting and overblown assumptions.
@NbaJunkie How is a 5/10 a "completely different score" compared to a 6/10? What would a "somewhat different score" be then? Both a 5 and a 6 mean it's an average game. Nothing more, nothing less.So they're hardly "completely different scores".
@Captain_Gonru Yeah, I also immediately thought of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King. Problem is, this review doesn't sound like Kemonomix+ would be doing anything differently or worse than Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King, but just the reviewer apparently doesn't like this kind of game. Seems pretty biased. Anybody here who played both games and would be wiling to share his thoughts?
"It was a particularly strong year [for the 3DS]" Seriously? Aside from its horrible launch year, this was easily its second-worst year so far. Even if you DID like this year, you can't seriously state that it would have been "a particularly strong year" for the platform.
I think an 8 is way too generous. It's decent for an NES beat'em up (there are hardly any at all), but otherwise it's pretty low-tier, if you will. With all the alternatives on 3DS and Wii U I'd give this a 5. It's really monotonous (even by the genre's standards) and the XP system doesn't add a lot.
@MeddlingIdiot I wouldn't call that "sold out" then, though, as not all amiibos will be avilable through pre-order. The pre-order quantities have been sold out. But not the wave itself.
@Kirk Yeah, it most certainly is NOT a bullet hell shooter. Most people nowadays seem to use the term synonymously to shmups in general. Quite sad to even see a reviewer do this.
@Angelic_Lapras_King Would of...should of...shudders How difficult can it be to use proper English? "Of" makes no friggin' sense whatsoever here. It doesn't even sound like any of the correct forms (which would be "would have" or "would've"). It's the most basic level of language.
@theberrage With a scale of ten different scores to give, there are bound to be dozens of games getting the same score despite being somewhat better or worse than another. It's entirely impossible to reflect every difference in quality on an x/10 scale.
"Let's be honest here: wrestling is essentially one big television drama"
Um, no? Wrestling is essentially an age-old Olympic sport. It's sad most people nowadays associate it mostly with the WWE and such, and it doesn't help that you would open a review with such a statement.
Konami is also the worst developer/publisher when it comes to their soundtracks on youtube. It's hard to find any videos with Castlevania music that aren't blocked. Konami's just digging its own grave deeper and deeper with every news covering the company.
@JoakimZ Doesn't matter if Nintendo has published the ohers or not. They still have a big say in what can be released when on their download platforms.
@BLPs As AJWolfTill said: Only a single person said anything about watching the video for Lydia. And he didn't even say it was because of her looks or anything. He just said, he watched the video, because of her. Why can't his reason be that he likes her personality, her video style, her wit, her knowledge or whatever. The only person derailing these comments into "horny teenager county" is you.
A great little puzzler, but how does this get a 9 when Tetrisphere got a 6? The latter has various modes and heaps of stages to play. There is content for weeks in there. Wetrix, though, is fine for an hour before it gets rather old. And you've already seen everything it offers within the first 20 minutes.
@Action51 Thanks for the good laugh. The first Mario Galaxy doesn't even hold a candle to Mario Sunshine or the second Galaxy, so how would it be better than Super Mario 64? And that doesn't have to do anything with nostalgia goggles or whatever (since I prefer Galaxy 2 A LOT over the first one). I feel it's childish whenever anybody dismisses praise for older games merely by saying "oh, you're all just being nostalgic. Luckily, I am able to remain objectively here. Why can't anybody else?"
@Damo If that can be changed easily, how about finally bringing back the DSiWare entry for 4 Elements and also creating one for Magical Diary? I know this doesn't belong into these comments, but I've been asking for weeks now without any form of reply. I'm trying to help the site with this, after all.
@ALEC_EIFFEL Nope, none of that makes the AI strong. It makes the enemies strong. AI is just the intelligence these enemies have...or rather not have. They just charge straight at you, which is no sign of strong intelligence. However, I will say: How does that matter in such a game? Platformers and Castlevania games never had good AI and they surely don't need any. Bringing up this point in such a review seems completely arbitrary.

Re: Review: Kemonomix+ (3DS eShop)
@zipmon Thanks for the additional opinion. Now I feel a lot better informed than after reading the review. Guess I'm going to skip the game then. ^^

No sub-title for the review? That's a first.
Re: Ninterview: Learning Retro Secrets With A Former Nintendo Game Play Counselor
Great read. Thanks for the interview.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd January (Europe)
@Kat I didn't like it either, but mostly for the stupid waggle controls.
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th January (North America)
Nice, Electronic Super Joy is super awesome. I've played it on Steam and I recommend it to just about anyone.
Re: Nintendo Download: 8th January
Another terrible 3DS week.
Re: Two Tetris Titles Pulled From the 3DS eShop in North America
@WaLzgi There was none for North America, which this news is all about. Heck, it already states in the title that there was no warning.

Four hours ago today's update was live already.

Re: Poll: Fake Wave 4 amiibo Images Make Us Dream of More Figures
How would this be a fourth wave? It would be a fifth one.
Re: Nintendo Highlights Great Games in a Rather Pretty Infographic
@Omarpixel9 There is no "they should have put x" when a game simply doesn't qualify.
Re: Video: SEGA's 3D Classics Collection Now Available In Japan, Looks Delightful

Not, it includes 8. The Master System games Space harrier 3D and Outrun 3D are also on this one...

@TylerTreese But...you didn't review it. Or are you writing for some other outlet?

Re: Video: Use Your amibo Figures Without Removing Them From Their Packaging
@Nimious "Wow, just wow. I never thought it'd be so easy to make the Amiibos usable without opening them."
Well, they ARE opened. Just not all the way, but they are opened.

Seriously.

Re: Review: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
Definitely the worst GBA Castlevania. I can't understand how some people beg to differ here. It does so many things worse than the previous two.

Re: Video: Teenagers Try Their Hand at the Original Super Smash Bros.
This was horrible as a "react video". They basically showed no reactions to something they knew nothing or little of - they were just playing.
Re: Nintendo 64x64: Donkey Kong 64
Fair review. I'd probably even only give it a 6.
Both Banjos and so many other N64 platformers were better than this, but it was still ok.
Re: Electronic Super Joy: Groove City Bringing Mayhem To The Wii U eShop
I loved the first one. Haven't tried the second one yet, despite it sitting in my Steam library. Hopefully we'll also get the first on on WiiU.
