Re: Video: This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do

KeeperBvK

"over 500 of the best Nintendo home console games, more than 50 boxed console variations, over 120 controllers, 300 magazines, 400 figures and 20 posters."

So...this is considered overly impressive nowadays? Or it warrants a ridiculous assumption such as "This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do"?
Wow...there are dozens of better and bigger Nintendo collections. I myself used to own around 250 different N64 games alone, not counting games for other systems.
Next time you post a video of a neat, though not exceptional collection, please spare us the insulting and overblown assumptions.

Re: Review: Kemonomix+ (3DS eShop)

KeeperBvK

@Captain_Gonru Yeah, I also immediately thought of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King. Problem is, this review doesn't sound like Kemonomix+ would be doing anything differently or worse than Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King, but just the reviewer apparently doesn't like this kind of game. Seems pretty biased.
Anybody here who played both games and would be wiling to share his thoughts?

Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life's Staff Awards 2014

KeeperBvK

"It was a particularly strong year [for the 3DS]"
Seriously? Aside from its horrible launch year, this was easily its second-worst year so far. Even if you DID like this year, you can't seriously state that it would have been "a particularly strong year" for the platform.

Re: Review: Mighty Final Fight (Wii U eShop / NES)

KeeperBvK

I think an 8 is way too generous. It's decent for an NES beat'em up (there are hardly any at all), but otherwise it's pretty low-tier, if you will. With all the alternatives on 3DS and Wii U I'd give this a 5. It's really monotonous (even by the genre's standards) and the XP system doesn't add a lot.

Would of...should of...shudders
How difficult can it be to use proper English?
"Of" makes no friggin' sense whatsoever here. It doesn't even sound like any of the correct forms (which would be "would have" or "would've").
It's the most basic level of language.

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Wii U)

KeeperBvK

@theberrage With a scale of ten different scores to give, there are bound to be dozens of games getting the same score despite being somewhat better or worse than another. It's entirely impossible to reflect every difference in quality on an x/10 scale.

Re: Video: What Is Contained Within The Lush Euro-Only Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition?

KeeperBvK

@BLPs As AJWolfTill said: Only a single person said anything about watching the video for Lydia. And he didn't even say it was because of her looks or anything. He just said, he watched the video, because of her. Why can't his reason be that he likes her personality, her video style, her wit, her knowledge or whatever. The only person derailing these comments into "horny teenager county" is you.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Wetrix

KeeperBvK

A great little puzzler, but how does this get a 9 when Tetrisphere got a 6? The latter has various modes and heaps of stages to play. There is content for weeks in there. Wetrix, though, is fine for an hour before it gets rather old. And you've already seen everything it offers within the first 20 minutes.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)

KeeperBvK

@Action51 Thanks for the good laugh. The first Mario Galaxy doesn't even hold a candle to Mario Sunshine or the second Galaxy, so how would it be better than Super Mario 64? And that doesn't have to do anything with nostalgia goggles or whatever (since I prefer Galaxy 2 A LOT over the first one). I feel it's childish whenever anybody dismisses praise for older games merely by saying "oh, you're all just being nostalgic. Luckily, I am able to remain objectively here. Why can't anybody else?"

Re: Review: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

KeeperBvK

@ALEC_EIFFEL Nope, none of that makes the AI strong. It makes the enemies strong. AI is just the intelligence these enemies have...or rather not have. They just charge straight at you, which is no sign of strong intelligence.
However, I will say: How does that matter in such a game? Platformers and Castlevania games never had good AI and they surely don't need any. Bringing up this point in such a review seems completely arbitrary.
