Re: Mappy-Land

KeeperBvK

So, this is a sequel to Mappy? I hope it's better than Namco's other old "Land"-sequel, being the horrible Pac-Land.

Re: Review: Tri-Strip (Wii U eShop)

KeeperBvK

@Teslain Should they only be reviewing the great games? Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. How about only giving out 10s, 9s, 8s and 7s? That will help their readers decide on what games to get.
It's mandatory to review as many games as possible and ESPECIALLY the games we don't know yet whether they're good or not. Asking for anything else is just stupid. Yeah, let's only review Zelda games.

Re: Where Is Nintendo's Place In The Games Industry?

KeeperBvK

@Artwark The point is to strengthen the Wii U's lineup. If GBA games were also on 3DS, the Wii U wouldn't benefit as much from them. It's not that hard to understand. Especially when it's been said for months on end now.
There is nothing to "fix" here. It's a business decision. Simple.

Re: Mobile Hit Badland Is Coming To The Wii U eShop

KeeperBvK

It IS a lot more than that.
You don't just dodge obstacles and die once you do. You traverse diverse levels in what is more of a puzzle game in an atmospheric world. All levels are carefully built rather than randomized and you need to use the various items in the right way to survive.
I personally love it. It's a great game t opass a minute, but I also enden up playing it for hours laying awake in bed at night.

Re: Not Everyone is Thrilled That Metroid Prime Trilogy Lands on the Wii U eShop Tomorrow

KeeperBvK

@Kitchener Why the hard feelings? This is not a case of people buying something with the intention of selling it for more. It's just a game that happened to become more expensive, so it sucks for any regular owner of the game to see its price plummeting.
This is not like those people preordering dozens of Majora's Mask New 3DS subsequently selling their preorders for a profit.

Re: Video: This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do

KeeperBvK

"over 500 of the best Nintendo home console games, more than 50 boxed console variations, over 120 controllers, 300 magazines, 400 figures and 20 posters."

So...this is considered overly impressive nowadays? Or it warrants a ridiculous assumption such as "This Guy Loves Nintendo Way More Than You Do"?
Wow...there are dozens of better and bigger Nintendo collections. I myself used to own around 250 different N64 games alone, not counting games for other systems.
Next time you post a video of a neat, though not exceptional collection, please spare us the insulting and overblown assumptions.

Re: Review: Kemonomix+ (3DS eShop)

KeeperBvK

@Captain_Gonru Yeah, I also immediately thought of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King. Problem is, this review doesn't sound like Kemonomix+ would be doing anything differently or worse than Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle: My Life as a King, but just the reviewer apparently doesn't like this kind of game. Seems pretty biased.
Anybody here who played both games and would be wiling to share his thoughts?

Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life's Staff Awards 2014

KeeperBvK

"It was a particularly strong year [for the 3DS]"
Seriously? Aside from its horrible launch year, this was easily its second-worst year so far. Even if you DID like this year, you can't seriously state that it would have been "a particularly strong year" for the platform.

Re: Review: Mighty Final Fight (Wii U eShop / NES)

KeeperBvK

I think an 8 is way too generous. It's decent for an NES beat'em up (there are hardly any at all), but otherwise it's pretty low-tier, if you will. With all the alternatives on 3DS and Wii U I'd give this a 5. It's really monotonous (even by the genre's standards) and the XP system doesn't add a lot.

@Angelic_Lapras_King
Would of...should of...shudders
How difficult can it be to use proper English?
"Of" makes no friggin' sense whatsoever here. It doesn't even sound like any of the correct forms (which would be "would have" or "would've").
It's the most basic level of language.

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Wii U)

KeeperBvK

@theberrage With a scale of ten different scores to give, there are bound to be dozens of games getting the same score despite being somewhat better or worse than another. It's entirely impossible to reflect every difference in quality on an x/10 scale.
