SEGA 3 D

While 3DS owners in the West are still anticipating the release of the second batch of SEGA 3D Classics on the eShop in 2015, Japan is already being treated to a boxed collection of the series, including 6 of the 12 games currently ported, enhanced and released by developer M2.

Announced in September as Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives, this Japan retail exclusive contains 3D Space Harrier, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D Outrun, 3D Streets of Rage, 3D Shinobi III, 3D Ecco The Dolphin and two bonus games.

Whether SEGA decides to release the collection outside of Japan is another question altogether, but right now it’s probably safe to say that the majority of 3DS owners in the West would just like to see the promised release of the second batch of 3D Classics.

Take a look at the delightful 2D / 3D trailer of the collection below and tell us if you would like to see this released in the West — once the existing batch of games have been made available on the eShop, of course.
