Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild Director Says the Game’s Design Could Become the New Standard

Jcdbengals

I know I'm old, so my opinion is probably not the popular one... But I really really hope they incorporate TRUE Zelda dungeons into the next one. This was such a great game, but if the epic dungeons were added with amazing subbosses and main bosses, I think it would be beyond perfection! Just my two cents. Still loved the game, but hoping there are about 8 to 10 huge dungeons to explore in addition to the amazing over world design of this entry.

Re: Nintendo Has Discontinued The NES Classic Edition in North America

Jcdbengals

Are you all serious? You do realize the NES classic was literally a marketing tool to get people to TALK about Nintendo, since it failed miserably with the Wii U. This is marketing 101; give away something (nes classic), make short supply so everyone is talking about it, then release the product you REALLY want people buying (Switch). If Nintendo wanted you to have an NES Classic, they would keep making them. Of course they don't; they wanted people to remember who Nintendo was. Yeah, some people are pissed...theu will probably even release the NES Classic in a digital form for the Switch just to get you to be able to have it on the go! Literally, if you ever thought Nintendo wanted the NES Classic to sell well, you're missing the point. People are pissed, people are angry, some are happy, but EVERYONE is talking about them.

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories You Should Buy

Jcdbengals

70 dollar pro controller.... 50 for super bomber man r......no Netflix or apps hardly at all..... More hardware problems reported than all the previous Nintendo systems combined (seriously, they make amazingly reliable hardware minus the good ol NES and the infamous blowing into it flaw...). I'm more than a little disappointed in this system, and in Nintendo. Of course I'll buy one, Ive owned all Nintendo systems since the original NES, but it will take some huge games and changes.

Re: Nintendo Switch Owners Will Have To Wait Longer And Pay More For RiME

Jcdbengals

We are here on a Nintendo only website comments section, and us Nintendo fans are almost all universally angry with this. This doesn't bode well for Nintendo, especially with the games not running near as good as they probably will on ps4. Yes, you can take it with you, I get that... But higher price for same game? That is not good at all.

Re: Review: Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (3DS)

Jcdbengals

Ive played all the dragon quest games 1-9, and this is hands down the best one. The 4 characters are awesome and really grow as the game goes on, and the sheer amount of things to do make it so fun to explore. I enjoy final fantasy vi more, but I definitely put the most hours into this one.

Re: eBay Reports an Average NES Mini Sale Price of Over $200

Jcdbengals

Don't blame ebay or scalpers, pay the idiots willing to be ripped off. This isn't even a limited or collectors edition; this is a standard product that WILL be in stores soon, just not right away. They aren't stopping development, so I don't know why people are paying those prices, other than impatient, and if that's the case, they most certainly deserve to lose the money.

Re: Review: Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (SNES)

Jcdbengals

I will always prefer the large map, tactical battles of Ogre Battle and Ogre Battle 64. Those games were SO different than anything else. Still, cant say no to this either; I never played this one, though I played the Tactics Ogre on gba which I believe was very similar.

Re: Review: Bravely Second: End Layer (3DS)

Jcdbengals

Good grief Nintendo, slow down! Fire Emblem Fates, Hyrule Legends, Bravely Second...my back catalog is already backed up. What a great time to be a gamer, wish I wasn't old as dirt with a family now so I had more time!

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Favourite Legend of Zelda Games - 30th Anniversary Edition

Jcdbengals

There can be an argument made for the top 12 Zelda games to all be considered the best. I disagree with Wind Waker but have it in my top 5, especially the much improved Wii U edition. The touchscreen for inventory, hero mode to finally add some difficulty, amazing graphics, improved sailing, and most important of all, triforce fetch quest shortened considerably were amazing improvements. Had they added just 2 more dungeons (the ones they cut out), we would almost have the perfect Zelda game.

Re: Poll: Vote for Your Favourite Legend of Zelda Games - 30th Anniversary Edition

Jcdbengals

Best music - Wind Waker
Best dungeons - Ocarina of Time
Best boss - Stallord King/Twilight Princess
Best Final Boss - Ganondorf/Wind Waker
Best item - Spinner/Twilight Princess
Best 2d - Link Between Worlds
Best 3d - Ocarina of Time
Best challenge - Zelda II
Best multiplayer - Four Swords Adventures
Best overall design - A Link to the Past
Worst game - Triforce Heroes
And I love them all.

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2016

Jcdbengals

Listen, I'm a HUGE Nintendo fan, but sometimes they make some idiotic choices. Federation Force is going to be garbage... And I think it's clear many of us would prefer a return to Super Metroid style on handheld, and 3d like Prime on NX. Next Level Games has been good, but it's amazing how out of touch Nintendo seems to be with its audience sometimes.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2016

Jcdbengals

Not a bad list for a soon to be unsupported console. Zelda Wii U sounds awesome, I just hope they don't change up the formula too much. Zelda is Zelda, it doesn't need to be anything else. Star Fox is a must buy

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Wii U eShop / DS)

Jcdbengals

Sorry, this game is a 7, the sequel is an 8. Very low dungeon count, touch game play is a novelty that wears off quick with these DS Zelda games. This is the low point of the series for me, with the exception of Tri Force heroes, which is fun but requires so much work to play properly (3 player local coop, when you get old like me, it's hard to find fellow gamers and Internet experience is poor to say the least). I hope Zelda doesn't become a series that tries to change so much; it doesn't need to, the core experience is great.

Re: Editorial: It's Not Fun to Criticise Nintendo Games, But It's Been Unavoidable in 2015

Jcdbengals

I enjoyed reading this. Nintendo has had, by all accounts, a dismal year on the Wii U. Mario Maker was great, but that's about it to be honest. I love my Wii U, but it is one of the worth years for Nintendo in recent memory. Fortunately, the 3ds had some great content. I think it's fairly obvious that Nintendo is moving on from Wii U, and that is a difficult decision for them to make and still keep content coming. Zelda will absolutely, one million percent be a dual release for NX and Wii U. Hopefully, NX will be a commercially successful system, but hey, as long as I get my normal quality games, I don't mind at all. Nintendo is amazing and will always be the best at pure gaming experiences... When they try haha.
