Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice has already had two relatively small DLC scenarios, which have been non-canon 'what if' offerings. Now there's a full length episode that follows on from the events of the game, making it the heftiest extra yet.
You can see details below, but don't read them if you don't want any gentle spoilers.
'Turnabout Time Traveler' is a full-length episode that takes place after the events of Spirit of Justice. Phoenix Wright's childhood friend Larry Butz is back and in a pickle as usual. He claims he will be marrying Ellen Wyatt, a new client who is a time-traveling bride and murder suspect, but it seems she already has a husband...
Phoenix Wright and partner Maya Fey will need to help the bride-to-be by investigating for clues that will help them solve this mystery before their match-up in court against Phoenix's long-time rival, Chief Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth.
As a "full-length episode" costing $5.99 / £5.39 / €5.99, it should offer a little more content than the smaller scenarios. Are you tempted to give it a try?

Capcom, found guilty of extortion.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Not at all in this case. The full game was a complete full-length experience, and didn't need anything else added to it at all. This just provides a nice bonus to us die hard ace attorney fans. If the DLC case for dual destinies is anything to go by, this will keep the same high quality as all the other cases. For 5 quid, you get a case that will last roughly 8 hours, which is pretty good if you ask me
@BranJ0 I'm slightly exaggerating in this case, it's not the worst offence they've committed.
I still haven't picked up the main game. Soon though, hopefully on my next paycheck.
Knowing Larry Butz, all types of shenanigans will ensue.
@BranJ0 8 Hours?!? I'm near finished with the the Bonus case of Ace Attorney 1 which was long already! I think I'm gonna faint.
Nice! Will need to get this one once I finish the game.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE If anything, they're guilty of breaching person systems.
Larry Butz isn't dead! Seriously, it's been since Miles Edgeworth Investigations 1 (maybe 2) that Larry's been brought up. I wish he had matured in the 9 year gap and developed out of the playboy who's always failing relationships, though.. By now, I'd hope if we'd hear from him again that he'd be happily married at this point.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Oh yes, I completely agree with you there, I strongly dislike most things capcom do with the exception of ace attorney, which is so good to me that it almost redeems everything else they do! But yeah, this is one of the only cases I've seen where DLC isn't extortionate!
@Captain_Toad Yeah, the cases get longer throughout the games, the fifth game (dual destinies) and this game in particular have some very long ones. It took me 8 hours to finish case 3 in spirit of justice, which is the same structure as this case, so 8 hours seems likely! On a side note, how are you enjoying the first ace attorney so far?
@BranJ0 Twisty, turny and hilarious, especially when you get incorrect responses.
@Captain_Toad Brilliant, I reckon you'll enjoy all the other games as well! Make sure you play them in the right order though, too many people make the mistake of skipping to the latest one and strongly regretting it when it reveals spoilers for important events in previous games. Just enjoy them at your own pace in the right order and you can't find a better game series out there
I've heard from a few people who had played this special episode early (by dubious means) that it's apparently not very good.
I'll rather make up my own mind on that though.
The dlc episode for Dual Destinies was one of the best ones hands down.
@Porky
I don't think you know Larry very well.
I'd be afraid of giving spoilers in saying that this engagement won't last, but… I don't think it counts as a spoiler when the first question it presents for you to ask, quickly reveals what is really going on.
Poor, stupid Larry. Glad to see him again though.
@BranJ0 The Shipshape Aquarium DLC case was the best of the lot in Dual Destinies. It was also a lot better translated, but SoJ doesn't have that problem with the main game. Hope this DLC will be just as whimsical and wild!
@LemonSlice I just preferred the finale of dual destinies, turnabout for tomorrow, to the DLC case, but I agree it was an excellent case, one of my favourite non finale cases. But yeah, spirit of justice overall is in a whole league above dual destinies, it's probably my favourite ever ace attorney game (contesting with trials and tribulations), so I hope this DLC case keeps up the amazing standard of the game!
@ChessboardMan Don't tell me what I don't know well; it was wishful thinking for me to imagine a character would develop in the course of 9 years and yes I did read the details..
Thanks for the heads up! I'm downloading as I type!
@BranJ0 Playing this way would bd great if the DS exclusive opus wasn't impossible to hunt at a decent price.
