Re: Brooklyn Assemblyman Considering Pokémon GO Legislation

It's always the video games at fault... Never the alcohol, nor guns, no way the manufacturers of those will ever be at fault. But it's video games, so the user was manipulated, no way they can think for themselves. It's ALWAYS the person, society and parents to blame.

Not anti-gun or alcohol here, just drawing comparisons to show how people cherry pick. And yes, the data collection needs to be questioned.

Re: Sponsored Locations Are Coming To Pokémon GO

@ikki5 but it different from traditional adverts. It's not a one-time/monthly etc advert. the business gets charged per customer. sure they should make money, but in highly populated areas that could be nullified by hundreds grabbing the Pokemon from the parking lot.

"Some may not be entirely sold on this change, but the presence of music honestly would ruin the immersion of the experience and be a jarring change from the atmosphere that's so meticulously crafted."

Great music only adds to the atmosphere. Have you tried playing skyrim without the music, or watching Star Wars without music? Music connects everything and makes you feel what is happening. Nature sounds are great and all, but it doesn't give a real sense of adventure in video games. A lack of music would be a major disappointment in this house, especially with all the great Zelda soundtracks from previous games.

Re: Developers Don't Seem To Know Any More About Nintendo NX Than You Do

Jaredfrogman

Anyone ever heard of non-disclosure? Nintendo could have put some very nasty legal mumbo-jumbo in agreements if anyone were to mention they have a dev kit, or say anything about NX. They want everything to be a surprise, I applaud them. They're not letting anyone steal their thunder!

The angry people voice their concerns the loudest online, while there are many, many more people that are fine with how things are. Privilege, lean what it is and is not. If you don't like it, start up your own studio and see what difficulties arise due to people like yourself.

Did your parents teach you anything about patience?

@Mainsaile the boss battles are difficult. I had to try twice the first boss, and three times the next one. Pokemon seems like a cakewalk in comparison. With so many abilities, the team arrangements seem infinite. The yokai are ranked by class, so if your fav is a low class, you might have to keep them out of your rotation (haven't gotten far enough for evolution/combination yet, so I can't give advice there).

Edit:
Find a video on boss battles, they're intense. There also fishing, but I am just starting that storyline, so I can't say how it is. Terror time seems like a good concept as well.
