@YonkoBuggyTheClown unfortunately that is the main problem with getting into the series, aside from the length... Sky 1-3 are only available on PC, and Cold Steel 1-2 are only on PC/Playstation. Zero, Azure and Cold Steel 3-4 are on all consoles though, which helps!

@YonkoBuggyTheClown You're missing out if you haven't touched the Trails series yet. Very special stuff. Ys is great and serves as a great secondary NIS series, but Trails has the crown

On the flip side, the Dai anime is really good and just finished airing last year so I'd recommend this game as a byproduct either way

@PALversusNTSC You can work and have tons of time for gaming lol. A week has 168 hours in it. If you slept a perfect 8 hours every night (56) and worked a full week + longer commute (50), that still leaves you with 62 hours a week.

There's no way that chores, eating and other things take up even HALF of that if done at least somewhat efficiently lol

Still playing regularly, mostly focusing on working towards level 50, filling out the Pokedex and doing all the special research but even so, you can physically feel the hit that the game has taken over the last couple months. Hopefully they decide to turn it around sooner rather than later, it would hurt to see this game come to an unfortunate end if it kept dropping and they refused to acknowledge it.

@D9Drainer You played a role in stealing the game? I couldn't be more proud of you, you're so accomplished.

@Tasuki It's actually been in a really good spot for a few years. Constant new releases of Pokemon, special research, events, seasons, updates, etc. It's been really great.

@Deviant-Dork there is unfortunately no accuracy in your statement, I'm sorry lol. They just don't play your version of games, so that makes the other games not good? Get out of here with that

@Deviant-Dork aside from the fact that you gave this a 1 because you don’t like anime, the gameplay is fantastic. I’m sorry you have to actually think instead of mash square like you probably do in your mindless western games.

Even the most unattached person would give this an above average rating for the visuals and audio alone. You’re just here to hate. Go do something productive

@Hero-of-WiiU Most here already look worth playing, but I'd say the exceptional titles to definitely play are Metroid 2 and Link's Awakening for the GB, and Mario+Luigi as well as The Minish Cap for GBA.

As far as future additions, I super recommend Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Pokemon TCG, both the Zelda oracle games, and Metroid Fusion. I'm sure Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is solid, but I haven't played it before!

@Tyranexx I wouldn't take this case as the norm for launch experiences. Dead Space, Hogwarts, Fire Emblem Engage, Octopath 2, and Hi-Fi Rush are all games that came out recently and had amazing launches.

This is Bandai being lazy, but it shouldn't cause you to miss out on actual quality launch experiences.

@Crono1973 Another $40 out of nowhere would be pretty extreme. I'm just more surprised games have dodged inflation for as long as they have lol it's been at least a decade that $60 has been the standard. Wasn't there N64 games that were at least $60? I'm just not really seeing the outrage here for the extra $10 once in a while tbh.

@Mauzuri What was mediocre about anything related to BOTW? It was a revolutionary title that brought back millions of gamers of all ages back to the joy of gaming. Sure, not every game will be for every person, but it's just incorrect to say BOTW and the Zelda brand in general is anything close to mediocre. You're just trolling at this rate.

@PoeTheLizard If you were really a "Zelda simp" then you should already know the series doesn't prioritize the highest frames or graphics. It's always been about the experience and the fun, both of which will be top tier in this release. You aren't kidding anyone lol

@siavm Then you don't really want to play this game bad enough if another $10 is what breaks the deal for you. It's not like you'd finish this in a day, you're getting dozens and dozens of hours out of one title. It also isn't like every single game will be $70, and you don't buy every single game.

There's another conversation about personal finances to be had in real life if an extra $10 once in a while is a dealbreaker to you. Yikes

They keep giving us characters but won't give us what we really want: the ability to play as a full team in a lobby. Adding more characters doesn't make the core issues any better lol

What do you mean "decent" lol everywhere else is showing off all the reasons why this is a great, if not fantastic release, especially coming from Square who is known to be very hit or miss. Give credit where credit is due.

This review is 100% an outlier for any potential buyers out there. Game is worth the pickup

Personal recommendation for others... Pick up Voice of Cards or Dungeon Encounters instead lol

@Ulysses Later seasons aren't military based so that would be correct! Also, good time to come back as there's lots of amazing stuff on Crunchyroll (huge fall season starting this weekend too) and it's a direct way to support the anime industry, which already needs a lot of our support.

I think this review is very fair but also will add that the grinding doesn't feel overly excessive if you've played Pokemon before the EXP Share was forced for your whole team.

I'd like to think most of us enjoy the battles and fight in those more than the average player who just wants to run through the story. If so, there is a good game here!

@Mauzuri What do you mean trainwreck? XBC2 was much stronger in every way, especially the combat, story and exploration. Blades and customization alone made it 10x better than having the same 8 arts to cycle through for 50 hours

The demo is so bad. Buyer beware, even opening the menu causes 3-5 seconds of glitch/lag and has been crashing the game for others. Not a good version of the game

@invictus4000 I mean you said it, not me lol. You’re definitely in the minority but your opinion is still valid. 2 was a huge step up in every way from 1 though especially in story, world development/exploration and combat, and 3 is combining aspects of all Xeno games (even hints of X and some things from Torna/Future Connected) so at this rate, you’d have to just outright dislike the series to not like what’s going on in 3. It didn’t just happen to earn the “one more thing” slot in a Nintendo Direct over a Mario game. Gonna be huge
