@Anachronism XBC2 was extremely emotionally driven even with that sort of stuff. I had no idea what I was getting into going in blind with that game, but it ended up being amazing. Pyra was one of the strongest characters too, and honestly as someone who doesn't like fan service in games, I stopped noticing it here because the experience was so good.
@moodycat I dunno, honestly after playing both, XBC2 vastly outshines the first one in a lot of core areas such as combat, pacing and exploration (I mean, all those Titans!)
@MrHonest I don't know if I'd go that far. Sure they have released things like Wonderful 101, Transformers and now Babylon's Fall, but they have also released amazing series like Bayonetta, Astral Chain and NieR
@somnambulance It's such a hard choice. I really like the setting and story in Forsaken Maiden, but liked the twists and a little more varied combat options in The Isle Dragon Roars. Both games are easy 9/10's though at the least
@somnambulance Somewhere between 12-15 hours, doing everything (including fighting the secret boss in the first game, I assume this one will have something similar)
I'm hoping we get maybe 1-3 more Voice of Cards entries through the year and then they all end up on one physical cartridge afterwards. These games are amazing
@aznable Nope, no thanks on waiting. Been stoked to play this since it got revealed months ago. Gonna be great to enjoy this on release day and all weekend
20 hours into the game and its amazing. If you were on the fence, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you knew you were gonna like it, you're gonna like it way more than you thought you would!
Why does this site push Kemco so much, knowing how trash their games are? I mean even in the dialogue in this article they claim 6/10 as if its a selling point. These games aren't worth your time lol
Wow I'm actually really sad that we didn't get Royal Anapoko Academy over here... It looks like such a sick JRPG/mystery dungeon combo. AND they got it shadow-dropped today in Japan.
@Link41x oh man I hadn’t even thought about playing the N64 version, have you played the remake yet? Awesome choices for games btw, very exciting weekend!
Been really enjoying The Great Ace Attorney: Resolve, on the 3rd case and it’s shaping up to be very interesting. Also working my way slowly through Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart as well as Metroid Dread, I don’t want those shorter games to be over already!
@FoxMcCloud Dude I do the same, that's so awesome to hear. I like to have something cozy between December 1st and December 20th, then something else on Christmas going into January. Not sure if your timeframe is similar but it does feel like such a special time
This weekend is consisting of The Great Ace Attorney on Switch as well as continuing Death’s Door which released very recently and is similar to Hades!
Also, a new game called Lamentum finally dropped yesterday. If you can imagine a pixel-art version of Resident Evil that includes limited ammo and saves, lots of really unique puzzles, and exploring a huge creepy mansion in the 1800s, it’s extremely good!
@Jersa7Darkangel I could actually see that as well. Totally agree with you. Now I want to go play it again after all these years... Also, did you know that Pokemon TCG game got a 2nd sequel? The West never got it, but we can play it on an emulator and it has the next few sets after base set (including the Fossil set). The game is called Pokemon Card GB2: GR-dan Sanjou! They made an english fan translation for the whole game a few years ago.
Can confirm this game is an amazing experience. I have fond memories of the older Yugioh spinoff games that they no longer do where you traverse different areas in a city and duel/level up, and this game feels like those did, but with voice acting and story/character development. I think those games were GX Duel Academy and The Sacred Cards, maybe even Reshef of Destruction. So lucky to have a game like this!
No love for Shadowverse: Champions Battle on August 10th? Shocked that didn’t make any sort of list or in your video, it’s one of the bigger releases and looks to be what card game fans have always wanted from something like a Yugioh spinoff. The demo is great too
@YANDMAN Agreed my friend! I had to restart it because I ran into a game-breaking bug that got me stuck in an area I shouldn’t have been able to get into. But I think they patched it
@CooperFrank how are you liking Fantasian so far? I saw they’re almost done with the 2nd half of the game, I didn’t know it wasn’t finished. Ive been hoping it will come to Switch!
Not totally sold based on the screenshots. From that description, I was hoping for something more along the lines of Astalon or Ender Lilies. Those two have spoiled me haha
@Rainz So true, I couldn't have said it better! I would love to be friends! You should send me a request my SW code is 4488-1286-1797. If you have or end up getting a PS console, you can find me at heyheyitsATM
The whole game kinda feels uninspired. I wasn't the biggest fan of MOBA's coming into this game, and it certainly didn't sell me on the genre. You'll know in your first match if this game is for you or not.
It seems the first 5 hours are pretty generous with rewards and earning unlocks, but after that it's either an insane grind or pay to win, and of course there are a ton of amazing Pokemon locked behind the rewards. Better off playing a lot of these other single-player releases that have been constantly coming out. Higher quality!
@Rainz I like that approach! I try to play 2-3 games at the same time until those get finished, then I swap out whichever one got finished for the next. I need to make a backlog list haha
I tend to play a lot of story games, so I make 1 game the main story one, then 1-2 other smaller titles. Currently playing through Ratchet & Clank as well as Ender Lilies for the smaller titles. Ender Lilies is a great metroidvania!
This weekend is going to be full of Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation on the 3DS!
I was also able to snag my best friend a PS5 after dozens of attempts, so we're gonna be jumping on Battlefield 4 in preparation for BF 2042 releasing in a few months!
This entire weekend has been dedicated to Monster Hunter Stories 2 so far! What an amazing game. Will be marathoning that game until Skyward Sword comes out next Friday. Happy gaming everyone!
Very torn on this. I think I would consider picking it up if I didn't have Scarlet Nexus, SMT 3, and Xenoblade currently going on as well as a couple indies.
Then next month is Skyward Sword, Cris Tales, Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Ace Attorney. This game just doesn't live up to those same standards
@moodycat I feel you, I think it's important to remember for future reference that these games on the indie-level of size don't usually become playable until around noon EST. Sometimes it's been earlier and sometimes later afternoon (it must depend on publisher a lot of times), however I've never seen it ever go live at midnight. I do wish they would, since other games often do too.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Will Reveal Some Skin, Unsurprisingly
@Diogmites Then just say you don't like games with story or JRPG's if you don't want to play this then. Missing out, btw!

Why is this only Android and not iOS? Really weird.
Re: Tinykin Combines Pikmin And Paper Mario For Adorable Ant-Sized Platforming This Summer
@Not_Soos You should play more indies! There are dozens and dozens of amazing ones out there, quite often much better than most AAA releases

Best Pokemon game in at least a decade.

This is true pain
Re: Cyberpunk Point-And-Click Adventure 'Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER' Gets New Trailer
Lol very polarizing opinions in the comments here so far. Won't bother, and favorite games of all time. Which is it?!
It does look really nice though, loving the aesthetic they have here.
