@Anachronism XBC2 was extremely emotionally driven even with that sort of stuff. I had no idea what I was getting into going in blind with that game, but it ended up being amazing. Pyra was one of the strongest characters too, and honestly as someone who doesn't like fan service in games, I stopped noticing it here because the experience was so good.

This weekend is consisting of The Great Ace Attorney on Switch as well as continuing Death’s Door which released very recently and is similar to Hades!

Also, a new game called Lamentum finally dropped yesterday. If you can imagine a pixel-art version of Resident Evil that includes limited ammo and saves, lots of really unique puzzles, and exploring a huge creepy mansion in the 1800s, it’s extremely good!

Happy gaming, everyone

@Jersa7Darkangel I could actually see that as well. Totally agree with you. Now I want to go play it again after all these years... Also, did you know that Pokemon TCG game got a 2nd sequel? The West never got it, but we can play it on an emulator and it has the next few sets after base set (including the Fossil set). The game is called Pokemon Card GB2: GR-dan Sanjou! They made an english fan translation for the whole game a few years ago.

Can confirm this game is an amazing experience. I have fond memories of the older Yugioh spinoff games that they no longer do where you traverse different areas in a city and duel/level up, and this game feels like those did, but with voice acting and story/character development. I think those games were GX Duel Academy and The Sacred Cards, maybe even Reshef of Destruction. So lucky to have a game like this!

The whole game kinda feels uninspired. I wasn't the biggest fan of MOBA's coming into this game, and it certainly didn't sell me on the genre. You'll know in your first match if this game is for you or not.

It seems the first 5 hours are pretty generous with rewards and earning unlocks, but after that it's either an insane grind or pay to win, and of course there are a ton of amazing Pokemon locked behind the rewards. Better off playing a lot of these other single-player releases that have been constantly coming out. Higher quality!

@Rainz I like that approach! I try to play 2-3 games at the same time until those get finished, then I swap out whichever one got finished for the next. I need to make a backlog list haha

I tend to play a lot of story games, so I make 1 game the main story one, then 1-2 other smaller titles. Currently playing through Ratchet & Clank as well as Ender Lilies for the smaller titles. Ender Lilies is a great metroidvania!

This weekend is going to be full of Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation on the 3DS!

I was also able to snag my best friend a PS5 after dozens of attempts, so we're gonna be jumping on Battlefield 4 in preparation for BF 2042 releasing in a few months!

Happy gaming everyone

@moodycat I feel you, I think it's important to remember for future reference that these games on the indie-level of size don't usually become playable until around noon EST. Sometimes it's been earlier and sometimes later afternoon (it must depend on publisher a lot of times), however I've never seen it ever go live at midnight. I do wish they would, since other games often do too.
