@Kaori-chan I had this same problem haha, I started doing a new thing last year that really helped which is only playing 2-3 games at a time: 1 main story game, usually bigger like Xenoblade or Persona, and then 1-2 smaller games (like a platformer, Megaman, Pokemon, Ratchet and Clank). Then I just swap those out with new games as they get finished
Of course there are games that I'll drop everything for, and I don't mind that at all haha
Ratchet & Clank of course as we get into E3 proper! I can't wait to see all the conferences and announcements. Sony has already had a good week with a few stellar releases.
Also playing through Xenoblade Chronicles and the new Wonder Boy on Switch. Been a huge fan of that series since a Youtuber named 'HappyConsoleGamer' raved about how good it was!
Another great weekend of gaming ahead! I’ll be finishing my first run through RE Village and continuing through Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition in celebration of it’s 1 year since release.
I’m also looking to play through Ratchet & Clank 2016 before Rift Apart comes out in a couple weeks.
What’s everyone else playing during this holiday weekend? Looking forward to it!
@HamatoYoshi Actually owning the product is still important to a lot of us. We've just started running into issues where games can be taken offline by choice of publisher or company and can no longer be played, and I want to be able to take my collection wherever I go as well.
Especially considering when games release, they're often priced the same. Would make no sense for me to drop $60 to download it digitally when I can pay the same and own the product side of it too.
The value side of them constantly increases too! Retro market is insane and the games coming out now will only have that same effect in the future too. That's not to say they should only be bought to be flipped years down the road, but it's nice to see them have such value in general.
@Tyranexx I'm with you on that my friend! I'm not an MMO player either, but my sheer love for DQ might get me to try out X if they ever localized it.
Stay tuned tonight, in about 11 hours we will be seeing the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary stream! Lots of announcements including DQ12 reveal it seems.
Friend request received! I have seen some awesome Landroid grass mowers lol awesome choice of name
@FlashBoomerang So awesome to hear, I'm glad that they aren't limited by the story barrier as that's important! Thanks for the response, and love the profile pic!
This is so exciting. LRG has been getting better and better with their games and even improved shipping times in the past couple months. Really looking forward to seeing whats next in the pipeline, and for the rest of E3 as a whole
@RGH27 Really good choice, the Ori games are unbelievably good. It's hard to pick one over the other, but I think Will of the Wisps made a lot of improvements, especially to the combat. Enjoy!
Awesome to hear, and I'm the same way! I like playing 1 main story game and 1-2 side games, it keeps things varied and fresh while also helping me complete games. Currently on 15 completions this year, some shorter and some longer haha
Really glad to hear you enjoyed those DQ games, they are some of the best though the series really doesn't miss at all in general.
Btw, if you'd like to become Switch friends, just send me an add anytime! My friend code is 4488-1286-1797 happy gaming!
@Tyranexx You have great taste in games! Love the Luigi choices as well.
I’ve played most of the Fire Emblem games that we’ve gotten so far, and I still think Echoes is my favorite. Way too good, and the little mini-battles with exploration is done so well. Happy gaming friend
@realityxaidan I was surprised at how good Immortals was. I heard a lot of complaints about the voice acting not being good or serious enough, however the light-hearted nature behind it all is actually done really well!
Have fun with those RPGs, they are a couple of my favorites
Great review guys! I was looking forward to playing this one, I might still pick it up down the road but maybe I’ll wait until they release a couple balance patches.
@Guitar_bard Really good choice! I never played Minish Cap growing up, and I played through it for the first time last month... So freaking good! Honestly, Capcom needs to make more Zelda games again. Way ahead of their time.
@darkswabber Sometimes those smaller games or more focused game sessions have their own wonderful feel to them hope you enjoy before leaving for vacation!
@The_Flume Dang, I didn't realize they expanded to a huge number like that. Despite not knowing the team size, it was just a really crucial time to have a lot of content for the follow up season and it was only 2 levels. It was beyond underwhelming, and was tough to see a lot of the playerbase move on so quickly. But I understood why they did
Whenever I see Fall Guys, I wish the devs released as much content during season 2 as they are now. They're truly doing great, but most of the audience has moved on :/
@Ambassador_Kong The Switch has the biggest library of games, in all varieties and sizes. Do you only play brand new Nintendo IP's? Because that's very limiting to it's potential and what it offers.
Even with a PC and PS5, I find it hard to go a day without playing something on Switch. There's so much variety
@Hippy_Pirate_89 I could see at least a few Zelda games this year, starting off with the Skyward Sword release. My ultimate dream would be to see the Oracle games remade in the Links Awakening engine, but I do want to play Windwaker handheld more than anything else haha
More mobile games come out, more reason to skip them haha. There are a few really well-done entries out there, but for the most part the Switch + console experience is just too good to share that time with some mobile stuff such as this. Great review NLife!
Snap is so much fun so far! Coming from someone who didn't get to play it as a kid, seeing how good this one is gives me joy. Bandai is doing great on their projects!
Former dev who isn't with the company anymore. I would trust that we are probably safe in getting something related to older Metroid games at some point
Very interesting, and great interview! Has anyone here played this game and have some thoughts? Nicalis is awesome and would love to support, especially if a physical is coming!
@HenHiro You're going to be even more hurt when Age of Calamity sells 5 million and passes up Links Awakening lol. I love both games, and I'm generally not a Musou fan but AOC and Persona 5 Strikers are great for the genre. Sorry that you cant see that
@Tyranexx My friend, you picked my favorite Fire Emblem game! Echoes is amazing, I feel it is the most streamlined and focused story. I love the series, but something about that one stuck out to me a lot. Can't wait to hear more of your thoughts, and have a happy weekend gaming!
@Fujimoto-San Really good choices, my friend! I think I enjoyed the Lets Go games a little more than Sword/Shield, and I think they looked beautiful too. Really good games. I hope you enjoy Fire Emblem too!
@realityxaidan Honestly, I feel like Immortals Fenyx Rising is the best Ubisoft game in years. Incredibly well done, light-hearted and a great experience. I also love Xenoblade, great job on finishing that game, but man... Torna gatekeeping you in the main story by having to finish a ton of mindless community side quests? I get the concept, but I was really frustrated at how they did that.
Definitely playing NieR Replicant since it dropped yesterday. Will I be able to finish a playthrough before Returnal and New Pokemon Snap release next Friday? Probably not, but stay tuned! Lol.
Hope you all have a rich weekend gaming and enjoying your time!
@SmartNickname They're all standalone titles and stories, similar to how every Final Fantasy game is standalone. So you don't have to worry about any of the other games before this one
@Razer This series has looked the same since the 3DS and the last 2 were definitely not generic as if they were created from a generator lol. Play those before spewing that

I’m nearing the end of Resident Evil Village! What a great game, it’s proving to be a lot better than expected.
In terms of RPG’s, I’m in my first playthroughs of Dragon Quest V and Final Fantasy 1! Enjoying the classics.
Looking forward to playing Shin Megami Tensei 3 and Biomutant when they both release next Tuesday!
Make it a great weekend gaming, everyone

Aside from Pokémon Snap being great, Sony has been putting out great game after great game.
After just finishing Returnal, next up is Resident Evil Village and NieR Replicant! I hope we can get Nier on Switch someday soon.
Looking forward to SMT 3: Nocturne in 10 days. Hope everyone has a great weekend gaming!

@1ofUs What happened to this game is I ended up picking it up day 1 and it was extremely solid and charming. Very good game

@HenHiro So a style of game is garbage just because you don't like it? Maybe you just have awful taste. Expand your horizons more.
