Why the hell would you want them all found for you. Finding them and figuring out how to get to them is the best thing about this game, without having to figure out how to get them, the game would feel rather empty.
I’ve never heard of them if I’m honest as I don’t look at a lot of magazines anymore, but damn that cover is hot. Might have to buy it and maybe even the older ones.
@ImagineerNik Wow you’ve proper rushed through it! I’ve been playing since 2pm and I’m only just at the Sand Kingdom. I like to take my time and take it all in, plus get the collectibles on my way through the game.
@Joker13z I actually like the guy, I met him once and he was a nice guy. I don’t always agree with him, but he does touch on valid points that reviewers who work for a website don’t touch on.
Back to the game, I love it, which is an understatement. Nintendo are on a role at the moment.
@justin233 I thought Sun/Moon was a pretty big revamp, which was exactly why I didn’t enjoy it. The only thing I liked was the art style, still haven’t completed it as I’m enjoying playing Gold more.
@GoldenGamer88 A lot of people like the badge and gym system though. It’s one of the many things I didn’t enjoy in Sun because it lacked them. I’m all for trying new ideas, but different doesn’t always mean better. I just want better, more interesting worlds to explore.
@Balta666 There’s already an option separate to that which if on restricts maximum volume. But that has always been off for me and volume still isn’t great. It’s the only thing annoying me with the Switch.
@BustedUpBiker The ones ive tried aren’t, they all work great with phones and other mobile equipment, so it’s down to Nintendo. I do have a few pairs that need a headphone DAC, but the ones I’ve tried with the Switch don’t.
@Balta666 I don’t have parental controls on, as I’ll never be a parent😉 Using cheap n nasty headphones the volume is ok, but using good ones not so much. As an audiophile I can’t use cheap headphones haha. I could get a portable amp, but that’s just more stuff to carry.
Really want some red joy-cons, but it’s a lot of money to spend just for looks. If the standard ones were black rather than a horrible gray colour it wouldn’t be so bad. I’ll stick to the stock ones and pro controller for now.
@Ralizah I dismissed it as I wasn’t sure how good it would be in terms of power and also battery life. Both it turns out are great, and as it uses USB-c it’s easy to charge. If they kept the clocks the same in handled then battery life would have been the same as a gaming laptop, which wouldn’t really make it mobile, so I’m glad it’s downclocked 🙂
Nintendo did great though. My PC CPU alone cost more than a Switch, so it’s amazing what this little device can do. I’m one of the few that loved the Wii U, but after poor support that was probably my biggest fear.
When I first heard about the hybrid nature of the console, I’ll be honest I totally dismissed it. I’m happy that I was wrong and too quick to judge, as I absolutely love it.
Still wish it had a optical port so I could use my Astro A50s. Yea I can still get them to work using a trrs cable, but then I don’t get Dolby surround.
This could be the first Pokemon game I don’t buy. Pokemon Sun didn’t excite me that much, I still haven’t completed it. The art style is great, especially for a 3DS game, but the sense of adventure just wasn’t there. Some of the stuff they did made the game easier and more streamlined, so that was partly why I didn’t enjoy it. Pokemon Gold is what I’m currently playing.
When the Switch game comes along I’ll definitely be buying that. My 3DS no longer comes to work with me, unlike my Switch.
As a PC gamer I’m still loving my Switch, it’s honestly amazing what this little hybrid can do. When I bought it I never thought I’d choose a 3rd party game on Switch over PC, but that’s what has happened. Currently playing Fifa and Stardew Valley.
My brothers birthday is next month, he really wants a Switch, but can’t afford one due to bills, married and having a kid. So I’m buying him a Switch for his birthday, he’s going to be so shocked. I’ve been saving a bit each month so I could buy him one. I always feel I owe him, as when I was 10 I was stabbed in the head by some psycho, and if it wasn’t for my Bro putting pressure on the wound I would have bled to death. So yea he’s a very special brother and deserves this gift 😊
I loved the art style in Sun/Moon, but without Gyms I lost interest. I still haven’t completed it, which is a first for me, as I normally can’t stop playing a new Pokemon game. So I won’t be pre ordering Ultra which is another first for me. Currently scratching my Pokemon itch playing Gold.
It also causes scratches even when you go careful with it. I have a tiny scratch on the screen and some at the back, because there’s no padding inside. To put that into perspective, my phone is 3 years old and looks new, same with my Wii U pad, so I take care of my stuff. It doesn’t take long to find similar posts, it would have cost them next to nothing to add rubber risers like laptops often have which stops that sort of thing. But if you haven’t had an issue you’ve been extremely lucky😬
Knocking it off is nowhere near as likely as causing scratches by simply docking it. I shudder to think what Switches owned by kids look like now. But maybe the docks differ slightly, so some of us get scratches and some don’t, as Im certainly not reckless when docking mine.
@NinNin I will anyway, as I have nothing better to do. Just look at the picture at the top of the article, it’s only a few inches tall. The standard dock is pretty much the same height as the Switch, with the controller attached you can’t slide it through, you have to go above the dock to then slot it in. I’m not actually sure why that’s hard for you to grasp. With the type of dock above you’d have plenty of room to slot it in under a tv stand shelf. 😜
@Fuz It won’t make a difference, you will still see it at 30fps, so the input will always feel slightly delayed. So it will still be 33.33 milliseconds rather than 16.67 milliseconds response time. If it were actually possible, then every single game that runs at 30fps would do the same trick.
@NinNin Because if one side is open you won’t need to slide it from the top. There’s room, but because I have to go above the dock it’s impossible. With it open I wouldn’t need to go directly about the dock, you’d only need to go above the USB-C connector. Hope you understand now.
With how scaleable the Frostbite engine is I still think it can be done, but either needed more time or wanted to test the waters. With that being said I’m more than happy with the Switch version, I’m not missing the extra bells and whistles I could get on PC. My GPU alone was almost twice as expensive as a Switch, so what I’m getting with this tiny hybrid is very impressive.
I still don’t get why the official dock has both sides closed, if the side the screen is on was open it would be so much better. I can’t even have my dock under my TV stand as there’s not enough room without possibly damaging my Switch. The Switch is great, but whoever designed the dock needs talking to.
@krvstkvlt It’s not a bug, it clearly states saving can take a while. I just have a drink or whatever while I wait. On my PC with only SSD’s I’m not used to waiting, yet I don’t find it an issue at all, each to their own.
As it stands there’s literally no design gone into the Switch E shop, so it doesn’t need redesigning, it’s needs to be designed. There’s nothing, you have to scroll through every game to find something, unless you search for a specific game. The Wii U shop was actually rather nice, so it was a shock to see what the Switch shop was like, it’s like the console was rushed out before finishing everything.
Nintendo will get a lot of bad press from this. It’s bad enough that to put videos that you’ve created with Nintendo games you have to be part of the program with them taking a slice of it. No other developers/publishers are like this.
Bit ridiculous to compare sales to PS4 & X1 considering how many Switch’s have been sold compared to those consoles. I notice you don’t mention PC sales, so if that is included with the two consoles then that makes it even more stupid to compare them.

Uhh that doesn’t say they prefer using it in handheld mode, it says they like using both, twisting the facts slightly 😉

@Hikingguy You never stop learning. Gaming habits change, so do trends, so what Nintendo said makes perfect sense.

Re: Super Mario Odyssey Is The Best Rated Game Of All Time
@Deathwalka What? You save £2 with Prime pre orders, not £10. Prime in the US you get 20% off, so yes the deal sucks for the UK.
Re: Super Mario Odyssey Is The Best Rated Game Of All Time
@Deathwalka Have you only just noticed that prime deal? Also that deal sucks for us Brits who have Prime, as in the US they get 20% off preorders

Just noticed on the inside of the box it has the lyrics to the song, nice touch.

So they looked at reviews on Amazon for a dock, yet didn’t ask the very people that have funded the product, absolute scummy move from them...
