I'm looking forward to new stages and I would love to see new gamemodes, just more minigames, the ones included are good fun and I'd love to see more in this game.

The four buttons in between the 2 anolog sticks look a bit annoying especially if like me you use chunky thumbstick covers for extra grip. Aaaaaand while I love my PS4 controller, I never use the d-pad for movement, so the XB1 and Switch Pro controller has the ideal layout.

Nice idea though and I do like the paddles on the back, every controller should have paddles.

Meanwhile over at the Playstation Store...

They need to restructure the Switch eshop and make it easier to search for games...And I like sales, great sales, why I like my PS4 so much, Sony don't hold back with their sales.

Best to create a new profile just to try this in hard mode before Nintendo patches it out. :S

Salmon Run is pretty great, loving it and I hope they expand it with more maps and random events.

It's nice not having to look at a tiny map on the gamepad, always wished you could bring up the map on the main screen in Splatoon 1.

So this app might cause image burn-in if you can't let the screen go to sleep if you plan to play for a few hours.

@EDF Well, they did give Splatoon 1 a 9/10, it's evident Splatoon 2 is a much better game, so no surprise really.

Switch with its strong start, it's been an amazing console so far.

Never played Splatoon as it just didn't appeal to me until I tried Splatoon 2 Global Testfire back in March on the Switch and I had so much fun, loved it. Decided to get Splatoon for the WiiU right there and then and I've played over 60 hours on it so far, still playing it 4 months later and I have Splatoon 2 on preorder.

I purchased the Ugreen USB 3.0 ethernet network adapter for about £8 to use for ARMS, MK8 and Splatoon 2 as wireless is weak on the Switch while I'm upstairs from the router.

It's like the devs themselves are sick of it too. This is great news and a real surprise, Splatoon 2 is full of great improvements.

So glad they upped it to 1080p AND kept it at 60fps. Messing around on the Splatoon 2 demo and running around the hub area you immediately notice how much better it all looks, coming from Wii U it's a big jump in visual quality.

I paid £20 for Splatoon 1 second hand and I loved that game too much, it was a surprise hit for me, some of the most fun I've had in an online game, the sequel is looking much better and now in 1080p, I'll be paying £42.99 for it but it's well worth that £50 price tag just because of it's very high replayability.

When I saw that E3 trailer, I was immediately tapping my foot to this song, hah. So catchy!

I had zero interest in this title, looked like a daft gimmick. Then near its release Nintendo started releasing more info and more fighters, then it got me interesed. Here I am today with my own gifted copy and I'm blown away by how lovely the game looks, the top notch music, brilliant presentation and downright fun multiplayer. The gameplay is top notch, really like this game. Hats off to you Nintendo for taking a risk, looking forward to seeing ARMS 2 already!

I love how flashy and frantic the battles are and watching replays with different camera views and using slow-mo for those cool knockouts is brilliant.

This game is very impressive, from amazing graphics and great visual style to brilliant music and gameplay. Love that volleyball mode. MK8D, ARMS and Splatoon 2 all in the same year, that's 3 amazing multiplayer experiences, keep it going Nintendo!

Is that 11 fighters now? I like this one. The more I see of ARMS, the more I like it, it's a very imaginative game and the gameplay look like so much fun. MK8D, ARMS and Splatoon 2! Cannot wait.

Just waiting for a quality battery add-on for the Switch to make portable gaming on the Switch more ideal.

Yeah, MK8D better get DLC to keep it interesting just as the Wii U did, it's a big release for the Switch despite being a re-release but I sure hope Nintendo treats it as a proper release.

It's an outstanding package for first time purchasers like myself, it'll be interesting seeing my 2 kids play it with that steer assist mode, a cool feature for the young ones!

World sizes will be over 3 times bigger than the Wii U version and will have more features and content, a much better purchase than the Wii U version. Maybe splitscreen in tabletop/handheld mode?

Not fussed about the game, but that amiibo looks great.

If it's not as good as the PS4 version (bigger worlds, more udates and features) then I'll pass, I will not touch the last gen version (Wii U/PS3/XB360/Vita etc) as the worlds and features are tiny in comparison to PS4/XB1.

I have a bunch of Nintendo Points soon to expire because I have no interest in Wii U or 3DS that they can only be used for. It's an incredibly pointless rewards program that has not yet benefited me at all.

ARMS was a real surprise, liking how much they showed off and new fighters too! Splatoon 2 though, out July and new Splatoon amiibo, CANNOT WAIT!

Pricey and you won't know how long that battery will last before it'll start holding smaller and smaller charges. I'd stick with a larger, cheaper and tested power bank with a long USB cable so I'm not holding that extra weight. Nice idea though.

I bet if Banjo-Kazooie got released today, would it garner these same mixed reviews?

It just amazes me they did this and I love them for it.

Well, apart from the fact the Wii U which was a stretch goal got cancelled but was upgraded to the Switch instead.

Ok, so now we know for sure it's 720p, but it's weird, I was playing the Wii U Splatoon and you can tell it's 720p, yet Splatoon 2 looked alot better, like it was slightly higher res. Splatoon 2 looked great on my 50" TV though, the colours are so vivid.

Well worth the hassle of buying it off the US eshop. Plays really well on the Switch, a great challenge.

I hang out over at Reddit Odyssey, people talk about the lack of EOV localisation and fans are still drawing blanks. ATLUS are very quiet.

It was brilliant, cannot wait for the release. I played a few sessions on the 7" screen and it felt great, it was almost like playing it on the Wii U's gamepad. The game seemed higher than 720p, maybe 900p like Zelda? No one seems sure what the res is, there's a bunch of sites saying it's 720p, then you have others saying its 1080p.
