Re: Takashi Iizuka Confirms The Next Sonic Title Is Already In Development

Also, what I think Sonic Team needs is consistency. That's what I see as the biggest problem.

When you look at Sonic games, they don't stick to what works. They try to change and experiment so they can please everyone at once at it doesn't work.

People love Sonic Mania because it improves on what made Sonic work in the first place with the Classic games.

With Generations, they improved on Modern Sonic with the boost formula and I personally think it's the best he has ever been.

So, what happens after Generations gets positive feedback? Well, instead of improving on that, they put that out of the window and went back to square one with Lost World. This keeps happening and they can't make up their minds on what Sonic is supposed to be.

And because of this, the Sonic fanbase has become so divided and it's even harder to please everyone.

We've been through this same cycle over and over again. They need to let him take a break and figure out what to. They have put Sonic as a quantity over quality series and he deserves better.

Re: Feature: What Developers Really Think Of The Nintendo Switch eShop

HollowGrapeJ

One thing I've noticed is the coming soon games on Xbox and PS only show a select few, mainly retail titles. And maybe a few Indies.

The Switch shows you basically everything about to release. There's a lot less of a filter. I'm usually more aware of the smaller indie titles when I search for games on the Switch, so it helps for those. But, at the same time, there are so many other uninteresting mobile port looking games put there by companies who just want a quick buck or whatever that it can be bothersome sometimes.

The featured section is the best place to be. Nintendo does a really good job there. It's different from the other two store fronts where the big retail titles get like 90% of the attention above all else. I saw those multiple Final Fantasy games getting exposure on the Switch right there. That's awesome.

@Preposterous There is absolutely nothing wrong with not liking the game, but you really are coming off as annoying. You chimed in to begin with about how "naive" @ThanosReXXX supposedly is for talking about game footage not being final which then resulted in a pointless argument.

You already made up your mind and it's pretty clear there's no convincing you. It's almost as if you're just looking to get on someone's nerves not really contributing anything to the discussion and just coming to leave snarky remarks for anyone who doesn't want to hear the constant complaining about this game.

I didn't even intend on commenting here in the first place since I said my thoughts elsewhere already and it's probably pointless even now as I doubt it'll make any difference the way you see things whatsoever, but I got annoyed and typed this out so far, so I might as well finish it. Anyways, I'm out.

Re: Switch Tactical Epic Wargroove Marches Into Battle Next Week

@rjejr Haha, nice. That's perfectly understandable. Even for me, sometimes it's nice to just turn on a console and play after a day full of work and taking care of other things. I'm still young and have a bit more flexibility with my free time. But, I'd like to keep doing this as I get older too along with other things like watching anime.

Re: Switch Tactical Epic Wargroove Marches Into Battle Next Week

@rjejr It's okay. Some people just prefer consoles. Nothing really wrong with that. I'm just kinda tired of the same old console cycle, you know. Dropping another few hundred on a new console based on exclusives and promises for the future, etc.

For me, it's the flexibility and customization that plays a big part in it. No one's PC has to be the same whereas everyone has to choose the console they put out. Changing the graphical settings to what I want and using different controllers like the 360 pad and Switch Pro Controller.

It's so awesome. It feels like I get much more value out of it even though it initially costs more. It pays off in the long run. I was considering a One X though. I love the power and backwards compatibility. But, I thought it'd make me happier to return to PC gaming.

Re: Mortal Kombat 11 Art Director Seemingly Reveals Reptile's Return

@SalvorHardin Armageddon did that. That game put almost all the characters up to that point even bosses. And it was not that great imo. Deception was by far the better game. And to say there's nothing complex about the story isn't really true.

A lot of characters have interesting backgrounds. They have reasons why they come to fight and the story can also indicate which characters are playable.

Re: Nintendo Switch Surpasses Lifetime PlayStation Vita Sales Within Japan

@Retsam Well, I've found that it doesn't really benefit me much at all getting consoles as soon as possible. So, I don't think it'll be that hard for me to resist getting them this time. It's tempting, but I realize I could be getting a lot of actual games instead of jumping straight towards another pricey device I might not even use that much.
