Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Right to Take Its Time With 'Digitalization' in Gaming, But Should Revolutionise the eShop Now

HollowGrapeJ

They need to make it so that your purchases aren't tied to the console. If your Wii U breaks, you can't just get rid of it, buy a new one, then redownload your stuff. You need to send it straight to Nintendo and pay them to repair it. Then when you get it back, you have to buy a SECOND Wii U while keeping your previous one and transfer the data to the new one. THEN you can get rid of the old one. Same process for the 3DS. It's stupid. -_-

Re: Reminder: There's Still Time to Hit a New Nintendo 3DS Midnight Launch

HollowGrapeJ

I avoided getting the New 3DS at all since the XL is the only version coming to US. And I do not want the XL this time. I'll just stick with the black XL I already have and keep buying games for it. Unless they announce a brand new Pokemon game exclusive to New 3DS. Then I would have to get one as soon as possible... Pokemon is so addictive. sigh

Re: Reaction: Super Smash Bros. amiibo Support Shows That NFC For The New Nintendo 3DS Is No Gimmick

HollowGrapeJ

Amiibo aren't really worth a purchase to me anymore. I wasted my time and money hunting these things down and buying just two of these things brings me up to about $30. I used them in Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros and I'm not really enjoying these. Leveling up my amiibo on Smash sucks. I tried to put my Little Mac vs lvl 9 and he loses almost every single match. It's just pathetic watching him get destroyed. He won't even win at level 30. And as for Mario Kart, the suits are nice, but I don't really use my Mii character so I don't care much for that. I'm fine with amiibo unlocking bits of content like clothes or whatever but it should NEVER unlock a game mode or any other major thing. Nintendo should not force you to buy the things to play part of your game. I don't care much for Mario Party 10 and I probably won't get it anytime soon but the amiibo mode in that game is exactly what they should not be doing!

Re: Developers Outline Their Ideas for Nintendo's Next Generation Handheld

HollowGrapeJ

@JaxonH I actually feel the opposite way. The only consoles I've ever owned are Nintendo's. And I've always been really frustrated with the lack of third party. And I hated that you couldn't download Wii games due to the extremely small Wii storage space. It would've definitely helped me lose a lot less of my games. They're starting to be able to let you download some with the Wii U and I appreciate that, but that came way too late. Should've been there last gen. Also, Nintendo's decisions also really get on my nerves like how they did not include HD in the Wii and no universal account system yet. Back in 2013 (which was when that painful Wii U drought was happening) I swear I was seriously considering selling my Wii U. I only stuck around because I knew that games like Smash and Mario Kart would come around eventually. That's actually the only reason I stick around with Nintendo at all these days. They're games just keep bringing me back to them. I manage to deal with all of the problems and issues I have with them cause they give me stuff like Zelda and Mario. I do plan on eventually getting a gaming PC to cover the lack of third party but as for everything else, I'm really hoping they fix these problems. It's just really frustrating and it's almost to the point where I'm ready to give up on them entirely. I used to be all over Nintendo consoles and always wanted to buy them so badly (I got my Wii U day one) but now I've pretty much made up my mind that if the next console doesn't fix the problems that I might have to avoid it. Definitely not getting it day one. Made that mistake with the Wii U... However the handhelds seem fine. I love the 3DS a lot. If I actually do give up on Nintendo consoles, I think I might just stick with their handheld and use a PC as my main system for gaming.

Re: Club Nintendo Goes Rewards Crazy With Final Update in North America

I think I might get Majora's Mask. I already know that there's an upcoming remake but I'm not really sure if that's worth $40. Especially with the Virtual Console version being only 150 coins. But the new graphics look nice I guess. Hmm. Not sure which one to get... Are the better graphics really worth buying it when I could just get it for free? ...

Re: Video: You NEED To Play Metroid Prime Trilogy

HollowGrapeJ

@JaxonH Well, I'm pretty much a newcomer to Metroid and I don't really know much about the story or anything. So I don't think Other M's story would be that much of a problem for me. Other M is also extremely easy to find for some odd reason. I see it nearly every time in the game sections. If it's really as good as you say it is, I suppose I may finally buy it.

Metroid Prime Trilogy! I've always wanted to play those games but it costed too much from sellers online. I want to get into the Metroid series so I'll start with this! I already tried to get into it before and I played Super Metroid but that didn't really help. I didn't like it. :/
