Re: Iwata: Nintendo NX Will Surprise People And Change Their Video Gaming Lives

@Nintendobro No, others don't get a free pass. People just don't complain about what the others are doing because this is a Nintendo fan site. I suppose you'd like it more if people here complained about Sony and Microsoft instead of Nintendo? It's a good thing that some of these people here criticize Nintendo. Because they're actually aware of all the problems. They're only trying to get Nintendo to do better.

@Nintendobro That's alright. I can understand that. Everyone has different tastes. I had fun with those games too but they got boring to me because they were the only games that are releasing. Nintendo games do not offer me the same type of experience that some third party games like GTA V (which is currently my most played game on the PS4) do. And I like racing and fighting games too. Mario Kart 8 was fun but after I beat all the cups, there wasn't anything else I wanted to do. I tried playing it with my friends but they were bored of it as well. Smash Bros was probably by far my most played Wii U game, but I had got burnt out on that because I played the 3DS version way more before the Wii U version released and after playing SSBB for all those years, the new one wasn't different to keep my attention. I felt that the Wii U was not for me because the next few games that are going to release was not worth the wait. I was definitely not going to buy Mario Party 10. If I bought Splatoon, I feel like it would've been fun but only for a little while. I want to say I'm interested in Xenoblade Chronicles, but I'm just not. It doesn't seem like my type of RPG. The game I DO want is Zelda U. I know for a fact THAT'S going to be worth a purchase. But it's only one game out of all the other Nintendo games that I really want. But, since I do own a PS4 now, I have the third party situation covered, and eventually I might get another Wii U. Probably not anytime soon, but if there's ever enough that interests me again. If not, I'll wait for the NX.

@Chaoz I don't dislike Nintendo. I've been a Nintendo fan for a long time now. I dislike Nintendo fanboys. (Well, I dislike all fanboys but I despise Nintendo fanboys the most) Let's just put it this way. My main issue about the Wii U is the lack of third party games. I sold it because it did not have all the games I wanted to play. And as for the New 3DS, you can think whatever you want about it, but I still have the right to complain about it.
*They didn't get the games I wanted to play.
*They didn't give me the handheld I wanted.
So I didn't buy the New 3DS XL and I quit supporting Nintendo products. Those are only two reasons but there are a lot more issues I had with them before. It's a long story. I think you get my point though. I still do care about Nintendo and I'm interested in the NX. And I'm hoping that whatever it is, it can get me back on board. I'll gladly support them again if they fix the problems. (If I really didn't care about Nintendo, I would not be visiting this site at all)
EDIT: And another thing. About 3/4 of my Wii U library was made up of third party games. I was one of the people that actually supported the games. In fact, if I still had my Wii U, I would support Devil's Third. It's more than likely not going to sell that well...

@Syrek24 Lol you make me laugh. Someone criticizes Nintendo and you act like they hate them. And the these so called "safe sequels" are of a much higher quality than what you will find on the Xbox One or PS4 is just your opinion. And I disagree with it too. I had a Wii U since launch and I was extremely bored with it. I played through NSMBU, 3D World, Pikmin 3, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, etc, and I got bored with them. The third party support is basically nonexistent and the Wii U lacks online in most of the first party games and for the games that do have online, they don't have voice chat. (Splatoon) And I was fed up with Nintendo's ridiculous decisions like the fact that there is still region lock and no universal account system. So I ended up trading it for a PS4. I don't regret that decision at all and I've basically played it every day since I got it unlike the times where I would turn on my Wii U and sit there for like 20 minutes deciding what to play before I end up turning it back off. And some times it didn't get turned on for weeks. I'm really hoping that with the NX, they finally realize the mistakes they've been making and GET IT RIGHT. What you just said is another reason why the Wii U is doing poorly. The fans such as yourself don't bother telling Nintendo what mistakes they've made. You just sit there and deal with everything they throw at you because you believe Nintendo has the best games. They didn't even bring the standard New 3DS to North America and some of you guys actually defended that! If they didn't bring the New 3DS or the XL over here you'd probably defend that too! You guys have to open your eyes. Nintendo's not perfect. Even they realize that they needed to change. You guys have to change too.
