Re: The Pokémon Company Releases Official Statement About Palworld

Ejadaddy

Everyone saying that The Pokémon Company is doing this because of Palworld's success probably haven't been paying attention to how Nintendo/TPC operate. They are very protective of the IP and will take anything down that infringes on that in the slightest, whether it's a full game or fan-made stuff. Nintendon't play that.

Re: Community: Played A Great Switch Game We Missed? We Want To Know!

Ejadaddy

@GalaxicGlobe hahaha all those games are made by the same dev. My friends n I look for their titles all week just to laugh at them. Another one is "Mudness offroad car simulator - 4x4 Racing Games Driving, parking, battle, tuning 2022 SIM kart". It looks like they're just trying to hit key words 😂

Re: Random: Modder Makes Switch OLED Run Cooler As A Dedicated Home Console

Ejadaddy

@AstroTheGamosian I thought this as well but the Switch wouldn't be the box, the Switch would be the console that you can play away from the box, which would basically act like those laptop graphics boxes that you can plug into and get a considerable boost. I think it would be way too expensive that way as you're talking about 2 different hardware with their own chips, graphics cards.

Re: We're Itching For These Tasty Resident Evil Switch eShop Discounts

Ejadaddy

@CammyUnofficial if you've got an alternative console, grab it on there. No point paying for something that'll become unavailable once those servers shutdown. Also, a better experience of PS/Xbox. Would love a native switch version and I can bet my left leg that we'll see all these games on Switch 2 within the first 2 years of the systems release; complete with Nintendo themed costumes and other fan-service to draw people in

Re: EA Sports FC 24 Switch Gameplay Trailer Revealed, Frostbite Engine Confirmed

Ejadaddy

@Sisilly_G Yeah, I know all that. My point is that this game, regardless of platform, always requires local install. And with the updates, that file size just keeps growing and growing.

Like I said, I tend to purchase Asian versions as they usually have all games on single cart. I've purchased Ninja Garden Collection, 2 of the Atelier series collection, Resident Evil Collection, and some other games I can't remember. All had the entire collection on cart. No extra download required save for updates. The exception here could be the Metal Gear Collection as I've looked and all versions are requiring a 30gb install so I guess Konami are cheapskates everywhere 😁

Re: EA Sports FC 24 Switch Gameplay Trailer Revealed, Frostbite Engine Confirmed

Ejadaddy

@Sisilly_G I hear you on this and I'm much the same. I usually purchase "Asian" versions of switch games as they tend to have the whole game or collection on cart. However, consider this - there is no version of this game on any console that will not require a local installation. FIFA on my series X is about 50gb install even though it's running from a disc. Just something to consider. If this plays decent with the new engine, then it's a no-brainer for me. Also, online competition on switch is easier 😜

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Ejadaddy

@Tandoori Agreed. Everything is subjective. But there are some accepted "standards" that form the baseline of our opinions. In the same vein, I could say that I don't like a videogame where I die so any game that has a "death" mechanic is an automatic 5 in my opinion. Nobody likes to die but we've all accepted that it is a part of the risk and reward flow of games. I'm terrible at bullet-hell shooters but I doubt you'll find anyone with a bigger library of bullet-hell games, becos even though I'm not good at playing them, I understand and appreciate the gaming philosophy behind it. So whilst you may not like something or it's not your cup-of-tea doesn't make it bad even subjectively.

Re: Nvidia Employee Comment Confirms Chip Rumoured To Be Used In 'Switch Pro' Is Real

Ejadaddy

@Savage_Joe it's not always about power and most times, it's just laziness. How can we get Doom, Wolfenstein and The Witcher on switch but square can't get Kingdom Hearts natively? That's just laziness. There are some really talented port specialists out there for switch who literally work miracles. Will there be sacrifices? Yes, but it'll still look good and play well if handled by the right people

Re: Nvidia Employee Comment Confirms Chip Rumoured To Be Used In 'Switch Pro' Is Real

Ejadaddy

@Timptation There is no limitation on game cards. Publishers, especially in the west, choose to limit the game cards they use. If you purchase an Asian version of a switch game, you'll find that it'll contain all content on one cart as opposed to some of the content and you needing to download the other part. Cartridge makes sense on a system that is portable and movable. I think the prices of carts will drop to the point where it's not much of a problem for Devs/publishers

Re: Switch Takes Japan's Entire Top 30 Software Chart, The First Console To Do So Since 1988

Ejadaddy

Nintendo was right to consolidate their portable and home console divisions. I still wish they had 2 different consoles on the market though and it's strange to imagine that from here on out, there'll just be one single Nintendo handheld/home console. It's the sign of the times I guess. Regarding memory space, I've only had my series X since November and bought another mem card a few months ago. Even when you buy physical, remember that PS4/ps5/Xbox always install a huge amount from the disc to the hard drive.

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Ejadaddy

@hammers1man I don't agree with that. It's like saying that PC gaming is in the same market as PlayStation and Xbox because they have a big form factor and require a TV/Monitor to play. Gaming Consoles have carved out their own market for a long time now and it's completely separate to PC gaming, although one could argue that Microsoft is trying to blur that line somewhat.

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Ejadaddy

@Linux7055 Hi friend, I did read your last comment and I'm aware of the expanded storage. My position remains the same with respect to this and the Switch. I'm just puzzled as to why it's been positioned as a switch rival especially after I've found out that there are other devices like this already on the Market. Also my concern has to do with install sizes for games, which can be huge in most cases.

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Ejadaddy

@Linux7055 If you're weighing this up against a switch, then you were never really interested in the Switch to begin with. 9 out of 10 people buy a Nintendo console for Nintendo made games. This device, if it functions as well as advertised, is a great buy. I am concerned about storage as I assume you'll have to natively install your games. However, this isn't going to impact Switch sales. I haven't got a PC so if this works well and it runs games decently, I might buy it as a cheap alternative to play my steam games but I already have a switch and wouldn't choose this over a switch if o could only have one. How else am I going to play Dread, BOTW 2 and SMT?

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Ejadaddy

Every article I've read is positing this as a Switch rival. I can't understand why anyone would think so. People buy Nintendo hardware for mostly Nintendo games so this isn't suddenly going to impact on Switch sales. It's ridiculous to even think so. Is this an attractive piece of kit? Yes. But this will not be competing with the Switch.

Re: Random: Even Coca-Cola Is Getting In On The Switch Pro Hype

Ejadaddy

Unless Nintendo give us the mother of all surprises, there won't be any mention of Switch Pro. Since nothing was announced before today, nothing will be said during the E3 direct. I think everyone's been riding on speculation and expectation but forgetting that Nintendo dance to their own beat.
