Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms

Ejadaddy

It just goes to show that perhaps Nintendo's apprehension to release this game wasn't unfounded because what matters are sales numbers and if the fans don't turn up and show their support, then a game gets shelved. It's probably why Nintendo haven't revived F-Zero cos they feel there's just a loud minority screaming for it but not enough to justify putting in the effort.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

@JohnnyMind Exactly this. Had it just followed the formula laid down by the previous entries, you can bet that everyone would harping on about how "it doesn't do anything new to push the series into the modern era" 🙄 I just hope all those loud voices screaming for this will show up with their wallets. I pre-ordered mine ages ago so looking forward to it.

Re: Opinion: Third-Party Support For Switch 2 Is Already A Dream Come True

Ejadaddy

I agree with this. Switch 2 seems to be in a completely different place compared to OG switch. And we haven't even gone into the territory of the "miracle ports", which, if Digital Foundry are to be believed, should have been Star wars Outlaws, but that ran without a hitch and has continued to see improvements since launch.

Re: Rumour: Sony Is Gunning For The Switch 2 With A Handheld, Dockable PS6

Ejadaddy

That's three wildly different SKUS. If Sony actually did this, it would show that they really have no idea how to keep themselves ahead and are completely riding on hubris. What physical format are the games gna take on the handheld? If it's download only, that won't fly for physical collectors. If it's gna keep pace with the ps6 home console, they're gna have to sell it at a considerable loss. The PS5 gen has been awful and Sony really need to have a great next gen. This might be a huge misstep

Re: Nintendo Sends Out Second Game-Key Card & Physical Game Survey

@Ooccoo_Jr
It is not inherently bad in itself. However, people are concerned that this will replace full game carts if successful and that is the problem. A lot of Nintendo fans are also physical collectors (me included) and having the full game on cart, so I can pop it in 40 years from now like I can pop in my copy of 7th Saga in my Snes and play it at anytime I want to without worrying that the server might not exist anymore. Personally, I think game key cards are a good evolution of digital but I don't want them replacing full carts.

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

Ejadaddy

@KBuckley27 The days of "third party games don't sell on Nintendo consoles" is over. If you release a game that's a decent port, you'll sell well on a Nintendo console. I would've bought Yakuza and Street fighter if they were full game-on-cart. Instead I bought CyberPunk, TTOK, BOTW and Rune Factory. All full game carts.
